When they pressed the old tie rod ends out which side did they press on? Old ball end(top) or the flat side?
Not sure I understand the question. If I remember correctly, I just beat them from the thread side.
Hey I am literally about to do the same thing on my truck, do you by chance remember how long it took for you to do all this more or less?

Everyone I've ever watched do this or read their story say to NEVER heat that thing! It can weaken and distort the metal. Yeah, it might make it easier, but this is one place you don't heat up.
