- The latest Hot Wheels 1/64 scale RC is the 2020 Corvette C8! Let's unbox, review, see how it works, and test it out on some custom Hot Wheels track layouts and even a double-wide oval layout. You talked me into getting one of these Hot Wheels RCs, plus a track. Unfortunately, I only had a choice of a white GMC truck and a Telsa Roadster (I was wanting a corvette or porsche). I was a bit disappointed that the controller didn't have the cord in it, since I can be absent-minded at times so the cord in the controller would have been nice.
Even as a grown adult, seeing those tiny little cars that fit on the orange tracks have a RC is just so cool, would have been a dream come true for me to have one as a kid
Right?! I’m an adult and they are so awesome for sending through custom tracks! I have a couple myself and they are great! I wish there were more of them though, especially of the acceleracers cars
These are the BEST cat toys ever. They’re also a lot of fun to just play around with but my cats go crazy chasing them around the house lol

I liked how with the older models you could charge anywhere in the go. With the new ones it might be faster. But still not as cool as charging from your own controller do you agree with me?

I'll pray this will eventually come in stores where I'm at (malaysia) because I wanna relive my childhood memories. I wanted the pocket RC from hotwheels many, many years ago but they never appeared in my country. This new rc line however, seems pretty good so far since we've already had the batmobile, dodger, and nissan in the market. I love the C8, and looking at the speed, seems it would be pretty sick to mess around with my two fat cats 😁

Are there any frequency issues when using more than one car at the same time?

I think it is crazy how I was the first one to get this rc car. I got it when there was no pics or no vids or nothing. And if you did not know there are 2 different versions same color and different packaging.

This is about the size of the rc car I'm looking for so I have something to do in the heat/cold. I've avoided these cars because they look like they are cheaply made. Is this the case? Also, what's your opinion of the cars (without a track, I'd have to get that later)? Since you have to "bind" the car to the remote, can you bind it to a different remote? Are they worth the money? Thanks.
They don’t seem cheaply made to me. But I can imagine them breaking if you run them into the wall or something. You need a large, smooth, hard floor to use them off track. Most of our house is carpeted so it doesn’t work. There are a couple competitors that Walmart carries. “Adventure Force” branded. They could be good but definitely seem more cheaply made. I’ll test them out one day and make a video.

First, thanks for the response! When I mentioned that they looked cheap, I was going by the picture on Amazon. Also, "cheap" is probably the wrong word and was mainly about the controller. My house is mostly hard wood so this scale would be great, since the 1/24 drifter I have is uncontrollable on the hardwood as it's to slick. I really want something for indoors so that way I can take my bashers, etc. outside when weather permits, and when it doesn't, I'd like some thing for indoors. To that point, I may have to check out some of your other reviews and check one out with some of the tracks listed above.

Mine just got in, it's a cyber tuck but it has this LED light that lets me know when the vehicle is charged, now I did everything accordingly and the car suddenly went off after a few seconds of testing the acceleration. Also this LED light is not turning on or anything when trying to sync.
I don't know, I hope you can return it. It doesn't sound like user error if it turned off after a few seconds.
I use to have bunch of the charge up ones I lost the charger but my dad showed me how to charge it with a 9volt battery 😁

I would keep an eye on the different Hot Wheels RC on Amazon. Sometimes certain ones are under $10. You’ll want to make sure it’s the newer version with the detachable charge cable (smaller sized controller). But you’ll have a spare cable. And in my experience the cars will all sync with each others’ controllers. So you’ll effectively have a spare car and a spare controller also.

Sorry, I haven’t had that happen, so IDK. I might check for debris or to see if something is bent or rubbing. The car can come apart somewhat with a little screwdriver if you want to poke around. But hopefully you can return it if it’s broken.

I’ve heard if you press and hold the sync button you can turn off the controller. But I haven’t tried it. I guess I always just turned the car off and the controller turned itself off for me. 🤷♂️

Have you had the previous releases? If so this would logically follow those. In the US, Buzz Lightyear is leaving and they’re adding the Tesla Roadster.

I got the Batman car of this and was disappointed with how it worked. It never correctly connected and I never got a response back from hot wheels CS. I'm was a HW fanboy up until that experience. I think they should stick to non electronic if they can't provide the support.
