Greetings from a Chile too strange today. But music changes everything and we just have to listen to it and dream about real social change. In Venezuela they suffer in their pain. th-cam.com/video/zTo4zHOhN68/w-d-xo.html
I’ve liked the Byrds version of this tune for many a decade but I love 💗 this one, pity I’ve only found it on the announcement of Julie’s passing 23/3/20
At last a voice for all the female freedom fighters! (We do exist, you know.) Almost perfect. I'm just sad she left out the verse about being gassed. Having inhaled tear gas a few times myself, I always liked that verse. I very much appreciate her enunciation; the words are the song here and if they can't be understood, so much is lost.
I,ve been lucky, met the lady once in M/C back in the '70s. Thoroughly charming as was her daghter many years later in Plymouth. Seen her live 3 times, much prefer all her earlier work but she's great at whatever she does.
she is and was always the most prettiest of all. such a charismatic person with heart and talent is a blessing for every society. sadly ,the freedom movement caused such a strange impact on nationalists bouncing back a decade later. dont be fooled people, world politics and economics are worse like always were !
La interpretación y calidez de su voz la hacen incomparable Y MAGICA, como también la interpretación de BRUCE EL AÑO 1988 th-cam.com/video/WBIcfPBVxxQ/w-d-xo.html por el momento que vivia la humanidad.
Great song, beautifully performed, though not as raw and angry as the Dylan version. At least their generation (my generation!) had the balls to protest. Flashing for the warriors whose strength is not to fight Flashing for the refugees on the unarmed road of flight An' for each an' every underdog soldier in the night An' we gazed upon the chimes of freedom flashing. Not that it did us any good.
Reminds me of the time I was innocent,. When the world was gentle.
Sublime chanson !❤thank you so much Julie Félix !❤fantastic cover!❤
Never heard this version before. No exaggeration, it gave me chills.
So long since I have heard Julie Felix sing Chimes of Freedom.

Marvellous..melodious and can hear every word. Takes me back to my youth when I knew all the verses off by heart..
Reste in peace beautiful person.
Thank you for reminding me of those days when I considered her to have the most beautiful voice on the folk music scene. (I may even have been right.)
This touching voice; the most powerfull message ever heard
