      I don't trust her, in the same sense that I don't trust _any_ politician. But if she does an about face and actually push for good policy, she'll have my vote, same as any of them. I'm not voting to be their best friend, they're all terrible.

      I'm not a big or trusting fan of John fetterman in particular but I do have some positive thoughts about any politician that's willing to cross the aisle from time to time. He also probably realizes that Pennsylvania is a swing state and needs to cooperate because otherwise the people will vote him out.

      @@LLG47 John Fetterman represents his constituents, not his party. PA is a swing state because people aren't in a political cult. They like some things about each party. It's not a typical purple state where more people get mobilized for each party. There are a ton of split ticket voters. He's not appealing to republicans and democrats, he's appealing to the interests of the people he's representing.

      No one in congress can speak out when it is important unless they get an OK because the party already has the vote without them.       Jon DEFINITELY was criticizing the Democrats for things, including insider trading, before the election. How do I know? I watched a video on TH-cam with my dad of Jon being critical of insider trading hypocrisy and the Bob Menendez corruption stuff. My dad, a Trump supporter, loved it even though Jon was critical of both sides. My dad died in August, 3 months before the election. So yes, Jon has been hammering the Democrats when there are consequences.

      As a progressive she has to walk a fine line or the establishment Democrats will push her out totally.
      The establishment Democrats will allow a few progressives, as many as they can control comfortably, because it helps to attract progressive voters. But they cannot be allowed to go too far.
      This is why I am done with the Democratic party. It's not AOC's fault. It's the problem with the party. They would rather see Trump win than a real progressive.

      The funny thing about that is that it bit them in the ass in the 2024 election. Bernie helped out Hilary and Biden in their election. For the 2024 election, Bernie did what he was told and stayed out of it. He didn't even campaign with Harris and look how it went. I'm not saying that Harris would've won with the help of Bernie, however, Harris' final result of the election was really depressing for those who vote democrat. Personally, I'm glad that Bernie stayed out in this election, not completely, but for the most part.
