I am enjoying your video programs and I am amazed at how you seem to become one with your equipment to get the most effort into each job. I do not like watching TV, as I am not into all of the Fabricated News, Half Truths and outright lies to say nothing about the strife that is taking place in our country... Your programs offer me a avenue to avoid all the bad programing and at the same time give me a source for enjoyable programing.. Thank you for the video's, keep ;up the good work and always be safe....
Excellent operator on many kinds of heavy equipment. He uses logic on every move. Certainly good at his job. I was also a heavy equipment operator back in the day. I especially like the grappl,e on the. Excavator and the bucket that turns completely and tilts left or right . Great!!
Love the videos @letsdig18! I can sit for hours upon hours just catching up on all the videos you have and not a one has bored me yet! I especially like the ones you did where you’ve got the whole job done in the whole video and I love seeing the before and after videos. Keep making em and I’ll keep watching em!
Hey Chris, thank you for the extended video! It's good to get comfortable and watch. I really enjoy the drone footage as well, keep them coming please:)
Just an academic question. Why don't you use a tub grinder and make mulch out of the wood and stump debris? Seems like you could either use it for ground cover or sell it.
Yep !! You loaded the shit out of the Dump today !! lolol....I'd say that was a good load...lolol...That was a good shot the drone got while you was burning !! That machine of yours is a Beast Chris ! she looks like a damn T-Rex, chewing that shit up !! Great as always ...Have a Great Evening....
Some can only afford a trailer house and I get that. When Chris twisted the frame I was shocked I mean the frame was as limp as a 90 year old pecker. Amazing how cheap they are built
Don't let that mobile home frame get near your tracks. It will detrrack that Volvo fast than you can blink. I've seen those frames detrack a D9 dozer. God bless
Nice video as always Chris. Nice to have you back to working. Missed your dirt vids while you were gone on vacay. However I did enjoy the auction vids too. So if Tim is gonna be there burning tomorrow, does that mean you’ll be elsewhere or is the rain going to shut you down more than likely?
Saw a haul truck being towed North up 77 Tuesday and my first thought was "I wonder if that's the same one." Then I realized there has to be a ton of them in NC Haha
Chris 1 in a million comments. How are you so plugged in with these farmers ect. How do you get/develope leads? Do you not have to hunt work at all because you are such a youtube sensation?
this may sound like a dumb question but what are the metal bars on the top of the bulldozer blade called you get a good look at it about the 17 min mark is it like a grizzly bar setup or headache rack type deal
thanks i was just curious so its just an extension to make it taller and to ad protection seems to work thanks for replying and keep up the great work and the videos coming also i like the drone shots sometimes especially after you have explained whats going on that way we get a over view of the scale and magnitude of the job
Well, burning is free after paying for how you ignite it and then using the machine for 10-15 mins every 2-3 hours to put more onto the pile. Since he doesnt own a grinder, he would have to hire someone or rent a machine of some sort, then take hours or even days of time doing stumps on top of hours or days clearing the land.
Tub grinders around here cost $900-$1000/hour of operation and then you must still dispose of the residue. Not very cost effective where burning is an option.
What does a job like this cost? Not counting bad weather, how long did you think this was going to take? I mean, you've got three (Dozer, track hoe, and haul truck) large equipment, so what do you think your operating cost are per hour? For each piece? How many hours was this job? How do you charge for transport?
Generally speaking, you should charge enough to be profitable, and each person has different cost, so each would be different in price. Every business owner has to find his/her own niche and always plan for business growth and the cost of not only maintaining equipment but replacing equipment.
So if you were to grab one of those stumps (perhaps a softer wood) between the bucket and the thumb (where the tines? teeth? could dig into the grain) Could you split the stump? Does the bucket/thumb combo have enough force? I know it's not an efficient use of time nor good stress on the machine. It was a random thought I had watching you toss stumps around.
Chris you are good at getting brush piles to burn. However Kleenman is pretty good as well. The scary part is that Kleenman works for the fire Department. Kinda concerning that someone who is paid to put fires out is good at starting them. Job security I guess. Lol God bless
Volvo has been good to you on these machines. Poor mans cat is what I called them. Same color and parts for most part but a bit cheaper to replace. Just in parts alone that wear out or "burn" out, you should be on your way to making the decorative things that go round and round. Curious if you worked on the 911 job in new york as you sort through stuff like you're looking for a silk hanky. Such good hand to eye that if they told you to use a spade or shovel to dig something up, you would hope on a big excavator and pick that shovel up ever so gentle and take a spade full and throw it on the fire along with the spade/LOL. I don't take to man u all la boooring either. Your better than most and still got a ways to go to get your golden excavator award god hands out so take your time getting that one. Good work with good equipment.... following the ol' boy on the 955 must a made you a bit humble. We all start somewhere or just wind up on it and then suicide is a option, mind you not a good one. Man can always get off that mad dog 20 20 and find a good job counting faces at walmart
Most places you cant burn a standing structure (for whatever reason you can/will be charged with arson even if its your own damn property) however, their is no law preventing you from demolishing a structure, then throwing the remaining bits into a fire. (providing their are no other laws/ordinances against open fires or burning of those materials.)
I am enjoying your video programs and I am amazed at how you seem to become one with your equipment to get the most effort into each job. Love the time lapse Chris!
@23:56 money's worth, I like your drone shots it makes sense of the organized chaos!👍🌴
Hey Chris, thank you for the extended video! It's good to get comfortable and watch. I really enjoy the drone footage as well, keep them coming please:)
Chris
Great job
Burn baby burn, you make burnning look so easy and it is not that comes from years of work experience. Thank You Take Care
Way to stack that truck! You get my nominations for operator of the year.
Man you do get some good value out of that root rake. Excellent.
Boy, that had stuff spread all over the place.
Enjoyed it very much!
Thanks.
A good fire always makes a video better. True fact.
12 foot high pile in the truck bed...”slow and easy”....my gut still hurts from laughing
Thumbs up on the drone angle for the fire! Cool!
I did enjoy that Chris, I just now noticed you are getting content all threw out your work day, alot of content , good stuff
Instablaster.
I liked it when you made the big pit and burned everything. First time i had ever seen that done.
@23:30 I've seen trucks in India with smaller loads than that. To be fair, they were on the public roads though.
Nothing like watching Chris and eating a steak after a day's worth of work!
Great video, love the drone shots.
I agree, drone shots were awesome .
Excellent video! Enjoyed the combination of music and some kind of slow motion towards the end, right on!
That old boy really left you a mess with that trailer. Good to see you brought your leaf blower today to get that fire going 😁
A awesome job,I love it and thanks for sharing
Chris ,
Nice shots with the drone
another good video of our favorite PYRO!!!
Chris ❤💜 watch n yur burn fires🔥 ill probably watch this video over n over again.... 👍🤓🔥
Nothing better than a good fire!!!

the road looks good keep up the good work
Thanks love the video and the drone one to .
Why do I have a mental image of the Volvo overlords cringing every time you use the 250 as a fire starter? LOL
Hello Chris I liked yesterday's video with the footage from under the truck. I liked the music in tonight's video
Yep did enjoy that bro so cheers for posting
I like the fast forward section.
Don't let that mobile home frame get near your tracks. It will detrrack that Volvo fast than you can blink. I've seen those frames detrack a D9 dozer. God bless
Theres a difference between a runner and operator
allways enjoy watching what you do friend....john..england.. u.k..
Man that 250 w those tinted windows is sexy!!!!!. Wish i could run that everyday. Great vidja man
I wish I could run an excavator half as good as letsdig18, I would be twice as good as most!!!!
Dig18 when are you gonna start spreading your knowledge..... 3 machines no apprentice / Journeymen.....
Circle of life bro.....
I thought at the end of the drone footage you was setting up to wave goodbye to us with the excavator! Lol😂
26:43 here we see a Volvopyrosaurus playing with its favorite toy, fire.
Somebody destroyed the “Mobile Mansion”. Lol 😂
Does North Carolina require burn permits or letting the fire department know before you burn?
its best to get one, if its out in the country they normally dont care
Do you have a video explaining the use of the display on the right side of the unit (3 partial circles and a meter)?
Nice progress 💪🏼
Nice video as always Chris. Nice to have you back to working. Missed your dirt vids while you were gone on vacay. However I did enjoy the auction vids too.
So if Tim is gonna be there burning tomorrow, does that mean you’ll be elsewhere or is the rain going to shut you down more than likely?
Great video chris
Christ, sometimes you sound very well educated. I like your descriptions of how you work.
Wow it started a big mess ended a organized fire good video
Saw a haul truck being towed North up 77 Tuesday and my first thought was "I wonder if that's the same one." Then I realized there has to be a ton of them in NC Haha
About time we got back to a big ass fire lol
Nice job!
At 26:40, I just had a flssh : Jurassic Park ! Your 250 looked liked a T-Rex building its nest. One fiery huge nest that is !
Chris 1 in a million comments. How are you so plugged in with these farmers ect. How do you get/develope leads? Do you not have to hunt work at all because you are such a youtube sensation?
In N.C. you do good work you keep all you can do. Especially the last 10 or so years
We have a good reputation, I hardly tell anyone about my youtube stuff so not really from that
this may sound like a dumb question but what are the metal bars on the top of the bulldozer blade called you get a good look at it about the 17 min mark is it like a grizzly bar setup or headache rack type deal
That's the root rake. It has teeth on bottom to rip out roots and the bars on top is the brush guard.
Thats a guard we added to keep stumps from rolling over the blade and smashing into the radiator
thanks i was just curious so its just an extension to make it taller and to ad protection seems to work thanks for replying and keep up the great work and the videos coming also i like the drone shots sometimes especially after you have explained whats going on that way we get a over view of the scale and magnitude of the job
Dozens can be powered l piece of equipment but all it takes to wreck one is a small tiny stick through the radiator.
My bad spelling. I meant dozens and powerfull
Can't believe you threw that tire so easy like that
i always enjoy your videos
Would it be more efficient cost and time wise to grind all the stumps and debris into mulch vs burning everything?
no cost about 4x more
Well, burning is free after paying for how you ignite it and then using the machine for 10-15 mins every 2-3 hours to put more onto the pile. Since he doesnt own a grinder, he would have to hire someone or rent a machine of some sort, then take hours or even days of time doing stumps on top of hours or days clearing the land.

Wow yea I guess burning is more efficient then lol.
Yeah don’t forget the truck needed to haul away the mulch as well
I like the time lapse

Lol. There were a few “flings” in there loading the fire, but that one big stump was a “WHOMP”!
good video chris
my almost 7 year old girl goes is he going to make that lake bigger he is the lake guy lol.. she watches some of your videos with me
My 7 year old son and 5 year old daughter love watching the videos too.
Construction Trucks " Ny
Hello Chris. Do you have fire permits for your burning, and how environmentally friendly are your fires? Andrew
Is all this work for one home or a development?
one house
Saw y’all truck near Foymart in Zebulon
Hey chris those dang mobile homes are nothing but a pain to clean up.(lol)are you operating with more than 1 key today.
Is the trailer frame so soft, or is it the power of the excavator that makes it look so?
IS That a TV set at 1:23 center of screen? Wonder if it still works?
Just had my first large fire using an excavator! What a pain in the ass! Have to baby it all day, amazing how fast it eats through piles though
Great vid Chris! Why do some vids have closed caption and others do not? TY
Hey have you demoed a 235? Same specs damn near as your 220 i ran a 2016 235 for a year and a half and its a true warrior of the jobsite
Letsburn18!
Letsburn18 tons of junk.
More like let's pollute the air and water.
It was a random thought I had watching you toss stumps around.
yeah itll bust logs right in half like firewood
@@letsdig18 well.. I mean... it *is* firewood... heh. Appreciate your videos man. Y'all take care.
Did they say why they made the burn pile 1/2 mile away from the wood pile.
Enjoyed the video as usual
What drone do you use Chris?
Now that root rake makes since instead of grapiling it together
Just seems, a burn pit, burns hotter when you have a lot of stumps. Then filling pit his a better out come. But I've not seen final out come.
Looks like fun.
Chris you are good at getting brush piles to burn. However Kleenman is pretty good as well. The scary part is that Kleenman works for the fire Department. Kinda concerning that someone who is paid to put fires out is good at starting them. Job security I guess. Lol God bless
What's a "Medastrip"? Just another word for swale/ditch?
Chris I do believe you played way too much Tetris as a kid. Lol God bless
...great, another big ass fire..lol...good vid..
What are the names of the songs used in the drone scene❓
Good video today! Last time videos where a little loveless.
Lookin good. I think Tim will work out. LOL
How about let us see some off machine/drone footage of the root rake doing it's thing??
Badass drone coverage. Was it in hover while you were working the pile then flew it under the excavator arm?
Stand by for pyro.......
Making it look good
GOOD WORK !!!!
I think you had two loads on there at 24 minutes nice work
No hot dogs or marshmallows? 🤔🤔🤔
great work
Now that's a fire !!!
If you take & flick a lighter right up next to all that smoke it will ignite. Smoke is very flammable

NO read the regs.
The guy that came up with the idea for the thumb on a excavator new what he was doing didn't he
