Ma'am I'm sorry to inform you but I was born in 2000 and I was taught to day yes sir, no sir, yes ma'am, no ma'am and to work hard not everyone after your time is ill mannered like you think
Every generation still has those people, just it’s less common these days. I was born in 2008 and had to teach myself manners because my elders don’t use any. It really depends on who you are and your situation, sir or ma’am.
They were the best days. Been listening to this song non stop, hit's me hard, lost my brother a yeat ago, and he's not here to see the little one that god has brought into my life.
Walked out to this song at graduation tonight and this fits us to a T i will always remember this night thank you to everyone I've met throughout my highschool years ❤😭😭😭😁😁😁😁😁 can't wait to see what's in store for me and my fellow graduates
I will be playing this song on the new 93Q Saturday night live radio show from Big Texas in Spring to promote the Friday 02.05.16 show. You can hear it on FM 92.9 in Houston or i♥ radio between 10:00 and 10:30pm DJ Mike
this song hits so hard on me, in mid 2015 my dad Got laid off of a job that he was with for 15 year's, well in those 2 week span of time a job fell right into his laps, that job made him move away during the week day's, well I'm the last man in the house an I'm 21 year's of age, i have a mother with server health problems, an a 24 year old sister with server health problems too, well my best friend, my bud, my father said "since I was the last man in the house I had to do a Huge jump in the house, become the rooster of the house, an take on my dad's rolls of the house like a father at 21 year's of age" an if my mom needed help running Bill's, or running errands, or etc... I had to do them, well in those times of span from 2015, 2016 my sister landed up in the hospital for 16 day's then my mom landed up in the er for 6 day's, i had to do a Huge jump in rolls I've never was expected to do, it was from paying my car note, my insurance, my car gas, to helping pay some major bills, to buying their meds they needed, to watering the garden's to doing the lawn jobs, to running them to the er, to running to cvs to pick up their meds, to feeding the chickens, to buying chicken feed, to feeding 6 dog's to buying the dog food, plus me working 115hrs for 2 week's on 1 pay check. but... something this year told me no matter what god throws me in the paths of this, i need to fight through the hell, continue to fight through an not give up, so i never did.but... my fight is almost over, i just got a job transfer to Huntsville, TX through my work, an got a house that I'm renting out in the country. my dad finally moved back home got a job over In our home town. I'm renting this house out with my amazing girlfriend, my sister, my sister's boyfriend, can't wait to see what this great adventure has for me, my fight is almost over an i don't have worry about taking on so much rolls now. I'm back to being a responsible son, adult! but... this song hits so hard on me because it explaines almost everything i went through i was born an rasied to be a fighter, an no matter what stepped in my paths I had to continue the fight till the end. after I listened to this song once, i was speechless. they've gained my high respects, y'all keep it coming! amazing song! defently can relate to this song hard!!
I found mine 12 years ago. Saw him sitting at corner of the bar. Then he walked outside, my friend told me to come outside. When he turned around and I looked at his baby blue eyes, I felt something I have never felt. I knew he was going to me my forever. 12 years later he still holds my heart. When you know you found them, you never wanna lose that someone.
You’re so amazing! Thank you for playing a song for my murdered brother at the backyard ! You put on one hell of a show . Guess bubba had great taste in music
We were the drifters, jokers Somebody you just saw in the hallway Got our kicks between class Spittin' dip talkin' trash Breaking rules and making bad grades Taking the long way home With the three six up And the windows down We didn't know back then But I sure know now We were the the lucky ones Raised up to be fighters Swinging at everything That we could see Through hungry eyes We were the lucky ones Hell bent and full of fire Giving it everything we had To keep our dreams alive We were poor and we were wild and we were young We were the lucky ones Between the blood and the sweat Calloused hands, you can bet Working hard is all we had ever known And all of the girls and the cars Busted lips, broken hearts Came alive out on those back roads Just a bunch of small town kids Looking for trouble when the sun went down The best nights of our lives was all we found We were the lucky ones Raised up to be fighters Swinging at everything That we could see Through hungry eyes We were the lucky ones Hell bent and full of fire Giving it everything we had To keep our dreams alive We were the lucky ones We were poor and we were wild and we were young And it made me into the man I have become 'Cause I was a lucky one Raised up to be fighter Swinging at everything That I could see Through hungry eyes 'Cause we were the lucky ones Hell bent and full of fire Giving it everything we had To keep our dreams alive We were poor and we were wild and we were young We were the lucky ones We were the lucky ones
Lord... we never seen how lucky we really was... from my buddy playing guitar in the middle of the hall wall...(me throwing a dollar in his guitar case)... from my buddy putting duck tape on his shoe... list goes on and on.... now I look back and think DAMN... a lot have passed on but not a day goes by I don’t think of them ALL!!! #legendsneverdie. #myfriendsiloveyouall #justknowithinkofuall
This song hits me so hard cause my boyfriend lives far from me ☹️I just wish I see him in person. I wanna hug him so tight and never let him go.i love him so much and it will kill me if I ever lose him.also it kills me that he lives far .. but I have a good feeling that I might see him in person .🙂
Yes I think so. They are playing their favorite hip hop group on the radio...which refers to the "Three Six" and the "up" part for turning the music up. I don't know what Megan Burns is laughing until she is crying about here, but I guess it is because she didn't know the answer to your serious question.
Yes we were the lucky ones as I watch you walking down them halls in them black pants I had such hunger eyes for you as my dreams are now coming alive and now we’re the lucky ones now living that dreams I had of Tammie Marie wow now we’re the lucky ones
Ive been the lucky one I've been the hero and I've lost and I was found by just a heartbeat and two feet on the ground life is on and gone before you can blink if I could give two life's just to get my old life back I'd trade it and start over n make everyone feel like they were lucky again and make it last forever
Did you not have a marching band at your high school? Sounds exactly like a high school drum line at football game or something. I find it very fitting! I was thrilled to hear marching quads once in country song.
I remind my brothers every time this song plays! We lived it!
*God bless who ever is reading this* ❤️

God bless you too ❤️
I was lucky to be raised in the 70's and 80's. I was taught to work hard, to say yes sir and thank you ma'am, and to bow my head to Jesus
Ma'am I'm sorry to inform you but I was born in 2000 and I was taught to day yes sir, no sir, yes ma'am, no ma'am and to work hard not everyone after your time is ill mannered like you think
I agree with you on the 80',s

my God , those days were and still are , even at 67 im still the lucky one as my brother is, we did it all still do , just less than in frequency
You nailed that . Thats great. Simple and honest back then. not afraid to fight a fair fight and always showing off our country hospitality.

We were the drifters, jokers
Somebody you just saw in the hallway
Got our kicks between class
Spittin' dip talkin' trash
Breaking rules and making bad grades
Taking the long way home
With the three six up
And the windows down
We didn't know back then
But I sure know now
We were the the lucky ones
Raised up to be fighters
Swinging at everything
That we could see
Through hungry eyes
We were the lucky ones
Hell bent and full of fire
Giving it everything we had
To keep our dreams alive
We were poor and we were wild and we were young
We were the lucky ones
Between the blood and the sweat
Calloused hands, you can bet
Working hard is all we had ever known
And all of the girls and the cars
Busted lips, broken hearts
Came alive out on those back roads
Just a bunch of small town kids
Looking for trouble when the sun went down
The best nights of our lives was all we found
We were the lucky ones
Raised up to be fighters
Swinging at everything
That we could see
Through hungry eyes
We were the lucky ones
Hell bent and full of fire
Giving it everything we had
To keep our dreams alive
We were the lucky ones
We were poor and we were wild and we were young
And it made me into the man I have become
'Cause I was a lucky one
Raised up to be fighter
Swinging at everything
That I could see
Through hungry eyes
'Cause we were the lucky ones
Hell bent and full of fire
Giving it everything we had
To keep our dreams alive
We were poor and we were wild and we were young
We were the lucky ones
We were the lucky ones

When he says "Three six up", is he referring to Three 6 Mafia??? 🤔🤔🤔
🤣🤣🤣
Yes I think so. They are playing their favorite hip hop group on the radio...which refers to the "Three Six" and the "up" part for turning the music up.
I don't know what Megan Burns is laughing until she is crying about here, but I guess it is because she didn't know the answer to your serious question.

Three Six Mafia?
lol I believe he means 36 in subwoofer
good song up until 3:29, I don't like the last portion of the song there. just don't feel like it belongs...
Did you not have a marching band at your high school? Sounds exactly like a high school drum line at football game or something. I find it very fitting! I was thrilled to hear marching quads once in country song.
Why celebrate bad grades?
Steven Harbuck it's about being a fighter, and working for everything you've got because it doesn't come naturally, so you had to scrap for it
Jason Schout I got that from the song, I like that song and I felt like it reminded me of me in school, except the bad grades
Steven Harbuck, because it's about his life, celebrate what you get.
Little confused about why you think he’s celebrating it? He’s just talking about his life back then what does it matter if you had good or bad grades?
Bad grades weren't being celebrated that was just a memory of his about starting in a not so good position and getting everything from nothing
