Don't you see that your selectivity attempts to void the fullness of the the Gospel? How is it that you reach these conclusions? Read your Bible friend! Does it not clearly say there are those who will in fact be consigned to the Gehenna of Fire? "...broad is the path that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter by it..." In numerous places we are told unequivocally that there most certainly will be plenty of people in the hell of fire, there is absolutely no need for me to name them, read your Bible! The only question is how many, and in what ratio of heaven to hell. But we're not left in the lurch there either, at least not the one that reads and believes their Bible. Not only is it the remnant that is consistently saved by God in the Old Testament, but in the New Testament, to finish the verse partly quoted above, Jesus Himself says: "...the way is broad that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter by it...the way is narrow that leads to life, and few are those who find it." It is hard to understand the reasoning of those who say everybody will be saved. My questions to such a one are: Do you have a Bible? If so, do you read the Bible? You see, I was very skeptical as an unbeliever, and as I began to believe I wanted to know for certain that what I was reading was as close to the original author's words as was possibly attainable. These tools afford the average fellow, such as myself, the ability to very accurately assess the accuracy of any translation down to the letter, from Old Testament times up until this day. Not only are these tools at my disposal, but I have been making use of them for several decades. In this way we can run the claims of anyone through a fine siev, a very fine siev indeed. Absolutely anyone, including you and I. Are you willing to engage and support your assertions above? At the outset I would have no reservations saying that translations such as the KJV, NKJV, RSV, ASB, NASB, ESV and many others are adequate translations, and do not suffer this lack of reliable accuracy such as you assert.
