      Adrienne Sidoti MCT oil is great. You can sub it out with coconut oil which has MCT.
      I wanted to give different variations for different instances.
      I love my MCT but I’ve already done a basic video on Keto coffee that has close to a million views. That’s the basic MCT based version.
      Go ahead and sub ghee for MCT in any of these.
      Hard part with MCT is the rapid absorption isn’t great for meal replacement.

    • @ChristineSolazzo
      @ChristineSolazzo 6 ปีที่แล้ว +21

      I am confused also because MCT is perfect in the mornings to get my days going and Thomas has stated it is better than ghee..but also he is giving different recipes for different things so makes sense

    • @ThomasDeLauerOfficial
      @ThomasDeLauerOfficial  6 ปีที่แล้ว +74

      Beauty And The Vape Yup, understand the confusion.
      It can be hard because I create so many videos it can be odd to come in and not see MCT. Don’t worry y’all! I got your backs!
      Your MCT is still BOMB and good to go!

      Thomas DeLauer never had a bowel problem with MCT C8 oil...guess everyone is different....too much cooked rendered fat from meat....different story...guess I’ve never had “too much” MCT to hit my threshold....thank goodness lol

    Hey Thomas!!
    Greetings from Central Florida.
    Just a bit of information for you to share and maybe warn some folks. I am on a health journey and have lost 70 lbs since this time last year. I started Keto in Aug 2018 and am excited. All is working well, putting on muscle and losing fat. I do have a higher cholesterol result than this time(240) last year (205) and it can only be from the 1 tbsp of whipping cream I use in my coffee everyday with mct oil and/or the 3 eggs with yolk I eat twice a week(6) with shredded cheese. I have eliminated the 3 items from my menu(switched to egg whites only). Just wanted to give those that it may affect a heads up. Feeling great! Doc also found trace amount of ketones 🤗 in my urine.
    Thanks for all you do, really!!
    Mike.

    If you like FUN COFFEE. Nut butters are good in coffee, this can either replace or compliment regular butter. I use peanut butter and almond milk though for iced coffee. Marshmallow root powder makes coffee thick and frothy and it helps with mucus and digestion and basically cures common cold. Ghirardelli Dutch process chocolate powder is zero net carbs that tastes great with peanut or nut butters. Swerve and Stevia drops together to sweeten...actually the raspberry tastes really good with this concoction.

No sweetener of any sort (any sweetener in any coffee is a cardinal sin), just enjoy the natural sweetness of proper milk.

    WOW‼️ Thank you so much. You gave me good reasons to go ahead and buy the ghee. The variety here is important to my very life and happiness. I wasn’t really a coffee drinker, mainly I would drink it on a cold winter morning or cold rainy day. But in my Ketogenic Diet with Intermittent Fasting, coffee has proved important to go forward with some satisfaction. Lol, seriously. 06/01/21 i began better diet. 3 weeks later my Dr gave me the news my A1C was 8.5. I found you ,Thomas, Dr Berg, Dr Fung, Dr. Hyman, & Dr Hallberg. And I jumped into Keto w/IF with a passion & focus, (I like my toes & eyesight). Now, as of 10/13/21 my A1C is 6.4. everything shows improvement. I’m not out of danger yet, but I’m going forward to kick Diabetes Butt‼️ You have made a world of good difference in my Life, Thomas, thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you.‼️♥️💋👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🎃

    I’ve been drinking bombproof matcha this week instead of coffee for a cleaner energy boost to break my fast. I use warm almond milk, a Tbsp of matcha powder, and a Tbsp each of coconut oil and ghee. I hand mix it until it becomes frothy. The fats somehow don’t separate when in matcha unlike coffee if not electrically blended. It’s amazing, but it cuts my hunger to nearly non existent so I’ve been having issues hitting my calories for the day.

    I was very close to throw up with butter in coffee which I was once given. (...taste once and you never ever want to do it again)
    But the I tried coconut oil (1 table spoonfull) and it was great! Cocnut oil is absolutely neutral. Then I added cinnamon and it was again quite horrible.
    Next test is to try coconut oil cacao in 0 sugar soy drink.
    I have found that 0% sugar soy drink is very good for almost everything. One particular context is soy drink omelette where omelette starts to taste like crêpes.
    Amazing and real result!

Oftentimes tinned coconut cream is mixed with water and thus has a lot of stabilizers and other crap to make it shelf stable. Kara is often available in Asian groceries and is quite international.

      Just a note on cream, I found it shocking & appalling that almost all certified organic dairies in the US utilize ultra high heat pasteurization, or HUT method, which renders it not only a dead food, but also leaves most of the fats rancid. But it's shelf stable! 😀 It actually does not require refrigeration with high heat pasteurization. Europeans (& Aussies, I think) have been used to this for decades, but Americans could not get used to milk in a can on the shelf, so it's still stocked in refrigerated cases.
      It's worthless at best, and most likely potentially harmful. You are actually better off buying non-organic dairy than that paltry excuse. If you do not have access to raw dairy in your state/area, research the local small dairy farms. Reach out to them and find out what their livestock feed is (obviously, avoid grain fed or finished, all grass-fed/pastured is best), if they do whole herd innocculation & what the policy is on vaccinations AND antibiotics, and what type of past urination they employ. Low & slow will preserve the most nutritional value, but just avoid ANY dairy that is flash/high-heat/ultra-pasteurized. You can probably find a local farm that employs good practices, treats his/her animals kindly and does not feed them poison or inject it routinely into their bodies, and has a generally good product available in your local hippie store. It just requires a little effort on your part to locate them. When you do, reach out & establish a relationship with them! Let them know how happy you are to have a "clean" dairy nearby, & encourage them to continue the good practices, & share the information so others in your area & network can make better informed choices. ☺

    I have some questions if you could answer them:
    - How much of caffeine is to much for the Keto diet ? could it prevents the production of the ketones ?
    - Is using the Stevia sweetener safe ? doesn't mean we're adding sugar ?
    - You added the cacao powder only in the treat recipe, does this mean that I can't have it in my daily coffee ?
    - What's the difference between using the ghee and the butter and their effect on the Keto diet?
