Those fire trucks sirens are super loud including the horn as well you can't miss them when coming to the rescue. When I was kid back in the days In the late 80s I was afraid of fire trucks sirens when I got older as kid I grew out the sirens noise.. those sirens hasn't changes at all.

How is the Q operated? Does the driver do it?

The officer has a pedal on the ground, along with air horns. You hold it down, the q winds up.

The officer and the driver often have them. It’s usually a small pedal you step on, and the longer you hold it the more the siren is wound up and the pitch gets higher.
