भगवान शिव के पुत्र कार्तिकेय का पुत्र है खरवार
अपने को सूर्यवंशी मानते नहीं बल्कि सूर्यवंशी है । प्रजापति दक्ष की पुत्री माता पार्वती अर्थात अदिति का विवाह महाप्रभु शिव अर्थात कश्यप से हूई।
कश्यप -अदिति के पुत्र का आदित्य अर्थात सूर्य जो कार्तिकेय है ।
कार्तिकेय का पुत्र है खरवार इसीलिए खरवार को सूर्यवंशी क्षत्रिय कहा जाता है।
आदिवासी आदिमजाति खरवार मुल निवासी शिव , पार्वती , गणेश , कार्तिकेय , काली दुर्गा शेर के वेष - भूषा में नाटक, नित्य आदि के माध्यम से कुछ संदेश देते - रहते हैं।
