Gurjan is a tree and all layers extracted from this will be marketed as Gurjan ply. No one is sure about if a ply really made of it. So check waterproof, borer & termite free boards. Ply is made of from different trees....Gurjan/eucalyptus . If you are looking at brands then Green ply, century, duri, Austin are few.

By name it is water resistant, which can be used even for Kitchen shutters and designery doors. Compare to MDF these are superior in density and water resistant. Big brand interior service providers use HDHMR boards at high rise apartments too.
