At first, i was devastated because I was trauma bonded and drinking the kool-aid. I went to therapy, discovered my role in the situation, and have spent the past 6yrs healing. Myself and my grown children. We are still divorcing.. i did lose my dad suddenly in 2021 to cancer 😢 but mostly the ex figured out the grass was only greener where he ran off to cause he wasn't over there shitting on it. Tried to pull the, I only filed to get you back in line BS.. lmao, that doesn't fly anymore. Key points, he stole 80k from our family, had someone on the side, and I inherited everything from my dad, which pissed him off because he no longer controlled me financially. I moved myself and our son, who just turned 21 into my dad's home 2hrs away. Side note: I've always been spiritual, and my grandmother was Native American. I've been blessed by The Ancestors to be a healer like her. I shut that part of me away because he mocked me. It blew wide open when he filed for divorce. I remembered who I was and embraced my gifts. He is alone now, living in a big house, his kids want nothing to do with him. Same as he wanted nothing to do with them for their entire lives. He made his bed. Im going to find the person meant for me. I feel it in my soul. I asked God my angels, guides, guardians, and ancestors for guidance. They are with me. Sorry for the book. @tarotdoc definitely! My (now 2 year old) daughter and I fled from FL to CA. We lived in my car, hotels (when I could afford it), and then a DV shelter for almost a year. I cried all day when I signed my lease. I'm so excited for our new chapter. I've started the divorce process and got a DVRO. It's been insane but having peace is worth it. No more violence, no more living in fear, etc. We might have to start completely over, but it's been peaceful even with the stalking.
