I have very reactive acne prone skin. I masked my face with the Avene's thermal water whenever my skin is irritated or sensitised! Really helps to soothe the skin. Just soak your toner pads (make sure its well soaked) with the water and leave it for 5-8mins. I use it on my lips too whenever my lip eczema flares up.

I saw the power of Avene's thermal water one day that I picked my acne and it turned into that red mess. Then, right away I sprayed the mist and topped off with Cicaplast. By the end of the day, it wasn't red anymore, it really does calm irritated skin.
However, since it is only water, if you just apply and not seal with a moisturizer before it dries (preferably one with hyaluronic acid to lock in the moisture), the water will evaporate alongside some water that was already on your skin. That's why you feel so dry, it is literally dehydrating you.

The d’alba mist has been on my wishlist ever since you mentioned it! Hoping to one day try it because it looks soooo pretty and the oil layer draws me in.

I agree with you on the Avène thermal water, it is only worth it if you can get it in France for 4 euros, and don't expect much except a little bit of soothing and a fine mist

I love all the mists you mentioned 😂😍 the Avene one is still a long time fave as it soothes my irritated skin be it on hot days or when i have random itch (face or body) so i still buy it even though it is just fancy water haha. but the ones with a layer of oil is my fave to mist on after hot showers.. 🧖🏻‍♀️

The renewed Missha artemisia mist! I loved the old one but the new one I find is even more calming so it's been my favorite one to mist throughout the day! I was also wondering if you've tried anything from the new artemisia line and what you think?

The avene mist is also pretty popular in Germany. It didn‘t do anything for me unfortunately even in summer. I prefer the one from La Roche Posay which is kinda similar imo but better. I‘m also suprised by the high markup in Korea - the Avene Mist is about 8-9 USD in Germany I think

Hi Soo ! You're French bigger fan here 💞 but... Lime water?? Where does this come from ?! 😅 We sure have hard water in Paris but this aspect def depends on where you live and we 100% can drink that water anywhere in the country ✨ it's so funny how we see brands too, bc Caudalie for me is soo overpriced and kinda gimmicky 😳 and like you said, I don't like that they use that much alcohol in their formulations, or frangrances

I don't usually use mists but, the Avene mist is very popular in Europe. When I was a child my mother use in me when I had red skin (for exemple after being on the beach). About two years ago I bought and it was a disappointment. I felt like spay water on me, nothing more, nothing moisturizing. For spray when you're hot in summer or after a beach day okey but nothing more...Thank you for the video Soo!

the Avene mist shouldn't be used alone, I love it in wintertime for in the morning. Instead of washing my face I just spray this on and go ahead with my morning skincare. At the moment my life safer as in Europe/Germany the weather is just horrible for the skin. Also I love it as step for in between my other skincare products especially before hyaluronic serum. In summer it's also nice tho.

Because the water from Europe is very alkaline and consequently quite irritating to those with sensitive skin, people use the spring termal water as the last good quality water in contact with your skin.
Personal experience: I used to have very inflamed acne skin, and my mom sprayed this Avene's thermal water over my face and basically the major redness was gone👌👌

My sister has been using the Aestura ceramide mist and it’s been working super well for her! It’s instantly skin softening and kind of feels like you’re spraying a light lotion on. It’s also extremely soothing for her when her skin gets really irritated. I tried it once and really enjoy the feeling of it on my face too.
I’ve been using and loving both the D’alba First Spray Serum and Peach and Lily’s Glass Skin Mist. Sooo so nice.

    • @LittleAmyHe
      @LittleAmyHe 2 ปีที่แล้ว

I don’t know how to explain it but the Aestura mist lasts super duper long. Probably because how moisturizing it feels so she only needs 4 quick spritz. It’s been 2 months and she’s only used a quarter of the bottle.

  • @sunshine9993

Plain water and thermal water can cause more water loss on the skin, if you just spray without adding a moisturizer on top. You cant just spray and go, it will pull water out of your face. Adding a lotion or moisturizer is a most.

Hola Soo, OH my God I can not believe you are reviewing two of my favorite mist and you don't find it valuable as me. I love mist and I find there're great for me because I usually have to wear makeup almost every day. Caudalie is my pick me up, and when I don't want to get oily I use any spring water actually I have Bioderma Hydrabio mist before makeup even after sunscreen without issues but that's my version of how I use it. Love Dr. Jart + Cicapair mist, Time Revolution the first treatment mist, ma:nyo Bífida ampoule mist, Ramosu prickly pear face mist, etc. Love your channel also Hola Soo. God bless!

If I bought the avene mist, I’d probably just use it to emulsify my skin when i oil cleanse. And if I’m taking too long to pat dry my skin after a shower, I’ll use it to damp my face and put my other skincare products on.

Hi Soo 😊💕 I got d'Alba's mist in your BAZZAAL box, but I haven't opened the mist yet. I'm very looking forward to it! I thought I would see Dr.Jart's Cicapair and Ceramidin mists here, I've seen you raving about them before! I definitely want to try CNP's and Dr.Jart's mists out too!

Avene Mist is the best straight after a shower before you apply toner. It's an extra step but if you suffer from eczema and you take a while to leave the bathroom ( I have my skincare in my bedroom instead of the bathroom because there is a toilet in there and I just can't have poo particles on my skin care products/toothbrush 😂) I use oil on my skin straight after I finish my shower while I'm still in the shower (with the water off) and I'll spray the avene spray all over my face and irritated skin (over the oil because my skins so dry but the oil helps) and clean up the water that has fallen out of the shower, put my clothes in the laundry and then wash my hands. After this I spray again then I do my toner etc, and in between steps I'll do body care. Idk why I went into so much detail hahaha

You should wipe this thermal water off after using it, if it dries out by itself it will obviously dry you out since it is just water.

The Avene mist I use a lot in the summer. It's good to spritz your arms and legs. Even your chest, if you're sweaty. Also it's great if you're having an irritation or allergic reaction.
The Caudalie mist (i use it when i have a cold aka fancy vicks vapour tub)

Hi Soo, I have been using Hanyul Pure Artemisia Fresh Calming Mist for almost 3 years now, I find it really helps to calm down the redness on my skin. The water molecules that sprays out of the bottle is very fine and soft on the skin, that is another reason on why I continuously using it bottle after bottle.
This year during Black Friday sales, I bought D'Alba mist to try due to ur recommendations. Waiting for my Hanyul mist to be emptied out before opening it. Hope D'Alba mist suits me as well.

Soo the water in Europe is not bad in general xD Pls don't say this. I live in Germany and the water quality is very good haha
But I love the Avene mist and would recommend it to everyone who has an extremely broken skin barrier and needs a first step for soothing and cooling the skin (In the morning or after washing the face). Ofc you have to follow with skincare at least a moisturizer. Also, I really love it to wet my skin in the morning instead of washing it ( I have VERY dry skin and also had POD for two years) I then follow up with toner, ampule and moisturizer ^^
Btw. it is soothing because of the mineral content in the water ;)

Hello, I m french and I live in Paris, and you re right : I use Avene water to remove limestone on my face after shower, I dont let it dry, I remove it with a cotton pad, then I start my routine ( I also used to do it with rose water)
Definitly not for an hydratating purpose
There is areas with softer waters in France, but in Paris, its a nightmare!
I dont like the Caudalie one, too much alcohol for my skin
By the way I love your pads Soo Good, you coud not find a better name
    Best regards
