If you are reading this please go to these places in Tokyo, you will NOT be disappointed:
Rokurinsha Ramen at Tokyo Station (love the tsukemen)
Zauo (catch your own fish for dinner)
Daiwa Sushi at Tsukiji Fish Market
Kyubei Sushi (for omakase, have to reserve in advance)
Tempura Tsunahachi (good tempura, but pricey, small portions)
Marugo Tonkatsu
He doesn't eat at those type of places. Wendy's, Taco Bell and KFC are his type of places.
Thanks for the list. We have already hit up many places similar to the ones you suggest. I tried to make sure he had a wide variety of iconic Japanese dishes ---you will see in the coming videos ;)
i get up about 20 times during the night so the capsule would not work for me. plus it is so small its scary. i can't believe people actually use them. they don't seem practical. i'm not a fancy person or anything just a bed and a simple bathroom is all i need. dont care if i have tv, coffee pot or a mini bar or even a dryer. a run of the house room is cool with me but put me in something the size of a coffin and i won't be able to do it. you are good sport for trying it so good job ken :)

Ken, love your Vlogs but I've stayed in Tokyo before and the one thing that always scared me about even just trying out a capsule for a night was the fire hazzards. You have all those capsules so close together with so many electrical connections on all those floors and it would be a nightmare if god forbid a fire ever started. I just could not deal with knowing that sleeping in a cramped space like that so I give you kudos for doing it.

For some reason Japan and China are alluring to me... i'm Dutch and i don't know a lot about the country, the people and the culture but of course i've seen their crazy toys and game shows and foods. It's weird to me but i still want to visit.

I can't believe Paul didn't tell you to get a suica or pasmo card - figuring out the price is a pain, the card just lets you tap in without worrying about the exact fare and you can use it in a bunch of shops, taxis and vending machines.
Thanks for the great details for buying metro tickets,vending machine and the capsule controls. these are very helpful for future visit to Japan.
Excellent vlog again. That capsule bed / hotel room / coffin / engineering tube that Scotty gets into in the original series of Star Trek is a no-no for me. Looks neat and saves space but I'd be gasping for air in a minute or two. I need the space. But once again, so much fun watching you and Paul explore this great city. Lots of people but very neat and beautiful. Thanks Paul for being the gracious tour guide.

I'd want some sort of lockable door on that capsule. Rather than just a curtain. Even it was a door with some sort of mesh to keep the air flowing.

I found a pocari sweat at my local asian market and tried it! It was super good, tastes like those powdered soda candies, the lemon lime or sprite flavor
sucks if you wake up to pee 2-3 times a night.
