Embryo Folding: Amniotic Cavity & Yolk Sac - Animated Embryology

Embryology animation in 3D, this time the folding of the embryo, in the early days.
The spaces around the embryo change dramatically over the course of development.
These spaces are quite hard to visualise with only 2D images.
In this video, we’ll look at the amniotic cavity and the yolk sac in three dimensions, specifically, how they both change shape over time.

Perfect video! The yolk stalk also called vitelline duct which in a case of a congenital persistence, is referred as Meckel’s diverticulum.
