I used to be like the woman getting comb, i found a shampoo for me and that minimized my flakes 😭 Because for some reason, head and shoulder just does not work
Tree tea tree oil based shampoos and the trick is to make sure it sits on your scalp for about 5 mins at the minimum so the treatment tskes into effect. H&S does not solve the issue permanently, but what worked for me personally is shampooing LESS. I can go 4-5 days before shampooing now. Start incrementally, and avoid hot-hot showers, or at the very least end your showers with a cold blast to seal in your hair cuticles. Avoid going to bed with wet hair (this causes fungal growth and irritation). Good luck 🤞🏼

She has psoriasis. It's an autoimmune desease. Scratch it or take it off it never recommended because it will inflamme the scalp. So everytime you take off some flake, you are make it worst for the next time.she should use dandruff shampoo, apple cide vinegar and see a dermatologist to fix it.😊
Yeah i don't know if it's psoriasis specifically but scraping it off will definitely not help anything. I used to get this but on my face, especially when I grew a beard, and no matter how much I'd shed it would all be back within 2 days, and I'd get red patches of skin everywhere until it was. This is dry skin and regenerating fast only to dry up again.

I love doing this to my partner whenever i can. Its very calming to me and they have eczema patches in their scalp that i mainly just itch and move on from. I try to focus on the dandruff so as to not worsen any of the eczema patches ❤

The thing getting removed is a condition called “psoriasis” I would know bc my mom and my grandma suffer with it which sadly gives me a huge chance of getting it eventually, hope this helps! :)

Maybe it is caused by the shampoo you use. It happened to me when I was young too. I had oily dandruff: it was like yellow batches coming from my hair. I switched to a vegan shampoo and it was over.
I had it for almost 30 years of my life. During lockdown I stopped gluten and dairy as an experiment for my PCOS and IBS, and it completely stopped my flakes. It was completely mind blowing how changing my diet solved 3 health issues. And even now if I cheat and eat a pizza or something that has dairy and gluten, I’ll get the flakes on my scalp and skin in less than a week. Try this and let me know if that works for you. As you comb, it gets caught in the comb and collects the dandruff off your scalp or hair. When you push the button at the top, it pushes all of the dandruff out. Just look up Dandruff Comb on google and you'll find it.

This isn't necessarily psoriasis - there are other conditions that cause plaques like this as well.
My dad has flakes like this and he has no psoriasis so not every case is a case of psoriasis

Yeah could be dermatitis too. The Dercos shampoo works well for that- he shouldn't take those off
