    I bought these products from Amazon last month (in May 2022 - Cleaner, reviver and waterproofer) and used them on my Mini Convertible canvas roof, which was in a terrible state having not been washed or maintained for many years (pre-dating my ownership) They were brilliant. BRILLIANT.
    It's like a new hood. No stiffening, no issues, one bottle of each was fine for a mini hood. Bigger cars will want more of the water proofer, but I had plenty left of the other two.
    There were issues before with green algae, dirt, residue of bird shit, all sorts (I thought my dark blue roof was black)
    Great products, buy them and use them with confidence.

    I used Renovo for the first time having used a cheaper commonly know brand previously. Renovo stands head and shoulders above when looking at the finished results, I was very pleased.
    The instructions do say to remove any dye on the paint or windows with a damp cloth. Let me say don't let the stuff dry but wipe immediately!! Mine dried on and I resorted to using a compound (similar to T cut) to remove it. Wouldn't shift with a damp cloth but was quite easy with the compound. Hood looks stunning now!!

    Made a marvellous job on my 330 ci. 12 years of no love and then I cleaned and used the reviver. 1 litre in enough for three coats on my bmw. I did two and it's came up great. Word of advice though it's very runny so I used masking tape and a throwaway paint sheet cut and taped with masking tape. This is a must as it's cuts down on painting time as u don't worry about drips which WILL happen. Also do on a cool cloudy day. Otherwise it'll patch. Worked a treat though. 👍👍👍

    Hi Guitarlover
    Thanks for your post, and glad your Saab softtop has been restored successfully. I've passed your query to Renovo, and this is what they suggest: "In order to prolong the re-colour provided by Reviver, it is best to protect straight away using Ultra Proofer and then top up protection approximately every six months thereafter. Ultra Proofer contains mould, mildew and UV inhibitors in its formulation so helps to keep the soft top looking at its best. If future applications of Reviver are required subsequent to applications of Ultra Proofer, all of the Ultra Proofer must be diligently removed, as Reviver is a water based product." Best wishes. Jake

    Hi Stephen
    So glad your MR2 has been revived, and thanks for your post. I brought the parcel shelf on my 27-year-old MK4 Escort back from the dead using the black variety. We're hoping to make an updated video soon, as the Renovo packaging is changing, and we'll show just how many other porous fabrics it can treat. Greatly appreciate all feedback, so thanks again!

    Thanks Militarybound 617! Thanks LeighPing! Appreciate the feedback. Incidentally, the product also revives bicycle panniers and a car's rear parcel shelf. I turned mine from a horrible stained grey to a nice matt black! Doesn't work on vinyl, though, just woven type material.Glad it was useful to you, and thanks again for posting comments. Have a great 2012. JakeKav1

    Hi Guitarlover. I've asked the manufacturer, and they suggest it may be safer NOT to use the window restorer on aftermarket tints. I believe they are looking into this in more detail at the moment, as - anecdotally - I think it depends on how the tint has been applied. UV light, and abrasive forces, damage the top few mico mills of the clear plastic window surface, and the slightly abrasive polish literally 'sands' that damage back to expose fresh, clear material underneath. Renovo International is not sure yet if that process will compromise any aftermarket surface tints involved, so are playing it safe. The rest of the products - including some new formulations - will work a treat on the rest of the canopy! I'll keep you posted. Jake

    Hi Paul. I suppose it depends on how degraded the softtop is. Our demo car shown in the video wasn't too bad, so we cleaned it in the morning, let it dry over lunch, and then put on one coat during the afternoon. Had the softtop been much worse, then two coats would have been preferable. As you say, letting each coat dry properly, and keeping the softtop dry (by keeping it under cover) until reproofed again is good advice. The reproofer will make future cleaning much easier, too.

  • @JakeKav1
    @JakeKav1  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Hi Wong Chin. Thanks for your query. Renovo has a range of colours, including a few shades of blue, so they will have one that is a close match to your existing soft top. These colours are generic, rather that BMW specific, but will give you a good strong colour with a uniform shade. Do remember that it will also dye any white or grey stitching, so the colour restorer tends to be used on rather tired and blotchy soft tops. If it's just dirty, you might find the cleaner brings it back up to good conditon by itself. Lots of useful info on the Renovo website, and they are always happy to talk you through any technical questions, including close colour matching. Hope that helps. Cheers. Jake

  • @JakeKav1
    @JakeKav1  10 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Andrew
    Yes, you can use it on old tents! I bought back a cream coloured canvas cockpit tent that had got mildew. Cleaned it with the Canvas Cleaner, then dyed it with the restorer ( dyed it blue) and finally waterproofed it with the reproofer. Canvas is now very slightly stiffer, but fully waterproof. I think Renovo have several colours to choose from, but you can only go from a light colour to a darker one when dyeing. Also works on anything canvas, including back packs and shoes! Cheers Jake

  • @JakeKav1

    Hi Junior J
    Just spoken to Renovo. Here is the offical reply: "The soft top should be fully dry before applying the Ultra Proofer as residual water in the soft top will dilute the Ultra Proofer’s capabilities. Also if the soft top is still partially wet the Reviver is not yet colourfast!
    With regard to how long it takes to dry this is obviously different in each case according to the ambient temperature/humidity. It is up to each individual therefore to determine whether the fabric of their soft top is dry or not. We suggest 24 hours, but this amount of time is not always required." Hope that helps! Cheers Jake

    Finally got it to work properly ! Have a Saab Aero convertible that renovo dye never worked properly on ! Cracked it now
    In past rushed it ! This time thoroughly cleaned roof
    Next day dyed it in black - soaked in amazingly ! Not sure if formula has changed or super clean roof absorbed it ? Minimal amount of overrun or splashing this time 👌 looks brilliant ❤️ leaving it to dry until tomorrow - then seal with possibly autoglymn sealer ?

    Hi Guy
    I asked Renovo about the spotting from flicked dye. Simple answer is - hot water. Hotter the better ( but don't scald yourself!) Renovo is an advanced water-based dye, developed from paint technology, but it will only adhere to porous surfaces (which is why you can't use it on vinyl. It won't stick.) In the ssme way, it won't actually stick permanently to your paint surfaces, so simply wash it off with hot water, and use your fingernail to prise off any more stubborn bits. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching. Jake

    Hi Pat. I've spoken to the manufacturer, and they say a number of their customers have done just what you're proposing, and the feedback has always been positive. It's imperative to clean the canvas thoroughly with Renovo Soft Top Canvas Cleaner first, though, and you may need more than the two recommended coats of Reviver, which will make the material a little stiffer. Renovo has good advice if you contact them directly. I've changed a parcel shelf from grey to black very successfully!

    Hello I just used your product on my softtop 2007 Saab convertible , I used the cleaner & re-proofer it came up great, I have one question should I wash the soft top or refrain from cleaning the roof altogether? the reason I used it was due to a leak, my interior is bone dry now!

    • @JakeKav1
      @JakeKav1  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Alan. Thanks for your query, and glad you've had some good results. The reproofer will have filled up the holes made by the shrunken stitching, and so stopped the leaks. Nothing to prevent you cleaning the soft top again - they do need it in today's polluted environment - but once dry just give it another quick coat of reproofer. Ideally, you should do this every 6 months or so anyway, and it only takes a few minutes. You'll notice the chemistry has changed a little since that video was made! Cheers Jake.

  • @JakeKav1

    Hi Cheral. I've spoken to the manufacturers and they say that the Renovo Ultra Proofer will work fine on mohair. Their advice is "When the convertible top is completely dry apply Renovo Ultra Proofer according to the instructions on the label. Ultra Proofer should be applied out of direct sunlight, and allow each coat to dry thoroughly. As an approximate guide for an average size convertible top there are two coats in a litre bottle and one coat in a 500ml bottle." Thanks for watching! Jake.

    Hi Josephanimation
    The reproofer works by sealing up the thousands of microscopic pores that open up in ageing canvas, especially around the stitching. Sounds like your roof will benefit. Check for any tears, though, as the rubber membrane could steer the ingress away from where it is actually coming in, a common problem with the deck fittings in boats. Let the roof dry out thoroughly, apply, and renew the coating every 6 months or less. It only takes a few minutes. Cheers!

    How long does the colour reviver need to dry, prior to applying the ultra proofer? It can be tricky finding a day when it is dry but dull all day (to avoid the car being in direct sunlight whilst the product is drying). I have no garage in which to leave the car Thanks

    This asked previously below by a different member but ignored/missed.
    So, I have a BMW E46 convertible in silver with the blue roof.
    It is fading and showing the moss.. It so decided to absorb water instead of bounce it off. I do have some re proofing products at a friends garage.
    I'm only young and want to paint the car a different colour but I'm limited by this horrible navy blue roof.
    So, my question is, will the Black kit actually dye my roof to a new colour of I gave it say 2/3 coats of the paint??
    Thanks
    Alex

    Bought the complete Renovo range, 2 bottles of soft top cleaner, 2 bottles of 1 ltr black restorer, 1 litre of ultra proofer, having cleaned the roof twice on my 2008 BMW 135i as per instructions, then applied 4 coats of restoring dye again as per instructions in an enclosed garage, the result was not much improved colour wise, I applied to coats of ultra proofer, again as per instructions, roof looked great wet, but when dry not so good... I will look at alternative products when I next refurb the roof in 12 months...

    Hi Sayer
    I've spoken to one of the directors by email, and whilst he agrees that a recolour could work in theory on any exposed fabric, he doesn't recommend going that route. It seems that seepage may be the main problem, and could potentially be 'a bit of a mess. ' (They are nothing if not honest at Renovo!). As mentioned before, Renovo is formulated for canvas type products, not vinyl. However, another cure that might work on faded vinyl is a simple 'cut back' with a product such as T cut, or 3M's Imperial compound, or Starbrights plastic restorer. All these products contain a very mild abrasive, that should take out oxidisation (fading) and get back to unaffected pigment underneath. Worth a go on a small test area, I would suggest. Hope this helps. Cheers. Jake

    Well, in theory, yes. I've used it successfully on badly faded cycle panniers and a boat's sail covers, plus even the fabric-covered parcel shelf on a Ford Escort (changed from grey to black). It will colour any canvas, but not canvas-effect vinyl.Treat with reproofer afterwards, and the canvas will also be watertight. There will be a very slight stiffening of the material once recoloured, but this is hardly noticeable.Thanks for watching! JakeKav1

    Hi Daytoncarcare
    As a freelance journo who has followed Renovo's development for the marine industry, I have used their products successfully on everything from bicycle panniers to canvas shoes. So I passed your comments on to the Renovo team. They replied " Rit dye seems to be about the equivalent to Dylon dye in the UK, Dylon being used to colour fabric items in a washing machine. Since Rit dye is not specifically developed for use on soft tops, it would seem quite risky to try it out on ones prized convertible. Who knows how colourfast it would be, what would be the longevity of the colour and most importantly what damage it could do to the soft top! We don’t think many people would be prepared to risk it. Why penny pinch on such an untested product?"

    • @DaytonCarCare
      @DaytonCarCare 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jake Kavanagh On the bottle they claim that the 500ml will cover an average size top, but it doesn't. And they also recommend doing two coats. They charged me about $60 for the color and proofing bottles. So that means two quantities will have to be used to complete at least one coat ($120 without buying the cleaner). Since two coats are recommended then that would be $240 or maybe less if you can stretch it with three pairs of bottles ($180) instead of four. With some smaller tops you can purchase the whole canvass for $400-$600 depending on what type of car you have.Of course, some are easier than others to replacel so you may have to hire an installer. Rit dye will work but you have to go though the process of rinsing it several times before proofing it or it will bleed. Since that is the way they dye clothing. So it's a toss up if you want to pay ten times more for the Renovo color and not risk the bleeding with the first rain or use Rit and deal with the rinsing process.

      Hi Gordon. Many apologies for the delay in reply - I've been making another vid about the carpet reviver! Thanks for watching the recolouring vid - the cleaner formulation has changed slightly over the years, but the process is the same. Yes, get that soft top as clean as you can. The cleaner works best if left for a while, as it binds to the dirt and lifts it out of the fibres. You can hose it down if you want after cleaning, but if the soft top is a bit leaky (usually due to stitching shrinkage) a warm wash may be better until you've recoloured and then resealed. Wear old clothers (we did) because the dye is designed to suck itself deep into absorbant fibres (which is why it doesn't work on vinyl.) You don't need to mask, although you can if you want. The reviver washes off non-porous surfaces ( metal, glass, rubber) very easily with warm soap and water, even when dry. You can of course use a roller - a foam one would be best, but be aware that the recolourer is quite watery ( so it soaks in well) so you will get a lot of splatter, which is why we recommend a brush. Hope that helps, and thanks again for watching. Cheers. Jake

    • @kaylacey7802
      @kaylacey7802 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Tim,
      Renovo do not manufacture a Reviver beige colour variant as there are simply too many shades of beige for us to be able to keep all our customers happy.
      You have two options:-
      1. Preserve your soft top's original colour by cleaning with Renovo Fabric Soft Top Cleaner and protecting with Renovo Ultra Proofer. Optimum protection will be achieved by applying Ultra Proofer approximately every six months.
      2. Change the colour of your soft top to brown/black.
      It is possible to change the colour of your soft top from beige to brown/black using Renovo Soft Top Reviver. However Soft Top Reviver was developed to bring back the original colour, not change the colour and consequently there are risks involved with this process. It is not reversible and can take more than the two recommended coats but not more than three.
      It is imperative that the top is cleaned thoroughly, ensuring that any previously applied proofing product is removed, before applying the Soft Top Reviver. Renovo Fabric Soft Top Cleaner will remove most proofers if the severely soiled cleaning instructions are followed. If you are aware that another proprietary branded proofer has been applied it is best to contact their customer service department to ascertain how you should remove their proofer.

      Hi Paul
      In theory, the roller technique should work fine, and give quick, even coverage, but be aware that rollers do splatter a lot, even used gently, so you may get the dye on the bonnet etc which will need wiping off. Always best to apply on a dull day, keeping that all important wet edge. The second coat will cover well, but slightly stiffen the material. I asked Renovo for their thoughts. Thanks for watching! Cheers Jake

      The problem may be that there was previous form of water proofer remaining on the fabric that the subscriber has not completely removed when they cleaned the soft top. This would prevent the Reviver from soaking in, thus causing a patchy appearance. Another possibility is that the product was applied in direct sunlight/when the soft top was too warm, again this would not allow the Reviver to soak into the fabric properly. Without knowing the history of the soft top and how the top was cleaned prior to an application of the Reviver we can only speculate on this.
      The simple solution is to clean off the Reviver using the Renovo Soft Top Canvas Cleaner following these instructions:- Mist spray the top and then paint on the Canvas Cleaner leave the solution to dry for approximately one hour, the optimum time for the active ingredients to work. Using hot water the surface should then be scrubbed with a bristle brush. It is essential to use hand hot water. Finish by rinsing off with water. Repeat the whole process as necessary.
      The subscriber should not apply further Reviver until they have removed the Reviver that has gone patchy and they must not apply Ultra Proofer as this will only compound the issue by sealing in the Reviver.
      The best way to apply Reviver is with a new paintbrush as per the instructions, not a foam roller.

    Not so good for me got the whole kit 1lt each. After following the instructions it dryed up looking like it had been painted a silver colour and very patchy. Got in touch with renovo through amazon had no reply. Took it to a soft top specialist and was told nothing could be done and should never use dye, clean protect only. New hood needed. I have spent over a 100 hours (yes 100 hours). Been cleaning with difference products little improvement. I have now tuned to treating with petrol nothing to loose, it seems to be working don't see any sign of damage.

    Thinking of using it again - can I apply with a small roller ? Also last time I did my Saab 9.3 I got a whitish tide mark in the middle of the roof ? Any ideas please

      Hi Guitarlover. I've passed your query to Renovo. They said "we would recommend that Guitarlover should follow the instructions for 'heavy soiling' on the bottle, particularly the part where it says, “Apply Reviver with a new 5cm/2inch paintbrush, using even strokes across the soft top. It is best to commence application in the centre of the soft top and as quickly as possible progress towards each side, the front and back of the soft top…” Do not apply in direct sunlight (this was stressed) as this will cause the Reviver to dry out too quickly and produce a patchy, uneven result”. This may be what has given the white 'tide mark.' Being a watery product for better absorbtion, you might find a small roller will splatter, even a foam one, so brushing is the preferred method. (Splatter wipes off paintwork easily with warm water.) Renovo recommends applying at least 2 coats to achieve greater depth of colour.

    I had a leak on my 2001 boxster - coming from above the driver side window.. porsche quoted me way too much for replacement rubbers. I took it to Marshall motors - they said the door had dropped a fraction so it was'nt sealing - realigned the door - no more problem. Worth investigating.

    • @jakekavanagh7385
      @jakekavanagh7385 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Andrew - yes, it should work fine. What you can't do is go the other way, a dark colour to a lighter one (ie black to red). The dye will always darken (or enrich if similar) an existing colour. Clean it well first and then apply the first coat as you can see in the video. It will probably need a second coat for a perfectly uniform colour, but not necessarily. Remember, the stitching will get coloured too, and the material will be a little stiffer afterwards. The re-proofer is a good follow up once everything is dry. It's a colourless liquid that soaks in and seals up any small holes. (These usually occur around the stitching as it shrinks in old age,, like the rest of us!) Thanks for watching the video. Cheers. Jake

    What if the top has a couple of tears in it? Can you patch it without it being too noticeable?
    I was just going to replace it as a soft top for an 01 mustang is only around $500 or so. But is there an easier way? 🤔

      @renovointernationalltd8329 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Heavy Metal Joe, If you take your Mustang to a coach-trimmer they should be able to make a pretty good job of patching the tears as long as they are not too bad. You can then use Renovo products to clean, re-colour and weather proof the top.........presuming it is fabric and not vinyl.

    Forgot to ask a question can any of this dye and waterproofed application be done by a spray gun to get Evan coverage

    • @JakeKav1
      @JakeKav1  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Gordon
      Yes, by all means. I've just used a cheap (£5) pump-up garden sprayer for a carpet reviving job. You will get a lot of overspray, though, which may waste some material and require masking if you don't want an extensive clean up, but it will work. Brush is still the most controlled way to get the reviver onto the soft-top, and remember to avoid doing it on a sunny day to avoid it drying too quickly. Cheers Jake

    • @JakeKav1
      @JakeKav1  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Roger. That might be tricky, as it sounds like they have taken the top layer of the fabric off. The reviver will disguise them to some degree, but unlike the plastic windows, the scratches can't be physically polished out. Bit of a pain, I know, but they may almost vanish once recoloured. Cheers Jake

    Hi 13jm31. Apologies for the delay in reply - been overseas! Alas, it's not (yet) available in white. However, you might find that the cleaner by itself will do much to restore the existing colour, especially if applied with hot water. The Renovo range is now widely distributed by Unipart, so can be found in automotive retailers and boat chandlers, or you can order it direct (and get advice from the star of the video, Pat) at the Renovo website (address in vid) . Hi David. This is very odd. The product has been around for decades and successfully used on literally millions of vehicles, as well as boat dodgers, cycle panniers - in fact anything made from a canvas weave. It is a highly absorbent dye based on paint technology, and yes - will make the material a little stiffer (although not by much) but it certainly shouldn't crack or wrinkle. It won't work on canvas-effect vinyl, for example. The clue may be in the substrate which you say is mohair. I'm not familiar with this in terms of Renovo, but what I do know is the dye should be applied to natural fabrics that are woven. The dye seeps into the fibres to create a solid base colour. Ideally, the fabric should be washed first, and Renovo's cleaner is tested to be fully compatible with the restorer. After the colour restorer you finish off with the reproofer, which fills any gaps left by stitching holes that open up over time. If you put multiple layers on, rather than a single coat, this could stiffen the material more than usual, but that is all I can think of. Follow the directions, use it on pre-cleaned, woven material and you should have been one of millions of happy customers.

  • @JakeKav1
    @JakeKav1  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi Sayer
    Alas, these products can only be used on canvas-type fabrics, as the dye technology needs a porous surface. The problem with vinyl is it has a shiny, impervious surface, which the dye can't penetrate and bond with. That said, if the vinyl has actually worn away so some of the supporting fabric underneath is exposed, then - in theory - the dye will recolour the supporting fabric in those areas, which may be enough to disguise any fading. I will ask the CEO for some further info, and post here shortly. Thanks for watching!

      Renovo is quite widely distributed now, but if you go in the Renovo International website, you should find a local supplier near to you. Failing that, you could possibly order directly from the manufacturer here in the UK. If you have any problems with supply, just give the team a call. They will be delighted to help you. Cheers. Jake

    Ok so I thought to try this expensive product. My wife's '03 Eclipse GTS lives in the shade a lot of the time so the top wasn't bad but I wanted to bring back the new black look. I carefully cleaned the top, let dry. Masked off some areas and went to work per instructions. My bottom line? Waste of money period. The top didn't get to the black I was hoping for and again, for the price one pays you would think it should. Very unhappy and I do not recommend.

    • @jakekavanagh7385
      @jakekavanagh7385 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi David. Very sorry to read your comments, especially as this product is so widely used in both automotive and marine applications, so have asked Renovo International what might be the problem. They have suggested:
      "If this issue arises it is usually because the customer has not bought enough Reviver to do a thorough job. Mr Rishnor has not commented on how much Reviver he purchased or how many coats he’s applied. For a soft top of this size we would recommend that the customer buys a litre of Reviver for one, possibly two coats; and don’t start the second coat without buying another 500mls of Reviver if more than half of the litre was used for the first coat!
      If Reviver is not applied liberally then there aren’t enough colour molecules available to soak into the fabric and give a good colour result. If Mr Rishnor applied another liberal coat to his wife’s soft top he’d get a much better colour result I’m sure.
      Conversely, if the soft top is badly scuffed and worn in general, then there isn’t enough fabric for the colour molecules to adhere to, although this is less often the case in my experience. This is apart from where scuff marks are apparent on some soft tops where the support bars cause excessive rubbing of the fabric when the folding mechanism is in operation."
      Hope that helps. You mention masking off - I'm assuming this is to protect the car, not parts of unfaded roof?
      It's not a cheap product, but the results are deep and long lasting - providing you don't skimp on the application.
      Cheers. Jake

      @@jakekavanagh7385 in fact I did buy a litre. (Think I got it on Amazon but not sure. Do I need to prove? Care to see a picture of the remaining in the container on my shelf?) As mentioned in my comment..." Eclipse GTS lives in the shade a lot of the time so the top wasn't bad". Yes, older vehicle however, with only 60K miles and the fact that it sits at home in a carport most of it's life why... the top was quite good. (Just wanted it to be a deeper black like it was when OEM and I thought from reading and youtube videos I saw that this product would do the job.) I used about 600ML of product in the application and it was applied liberally.
      Yes of course, "masking off" was to protect the car. It's just standard practice for me when working with paints, products like this. The application was not "skimped" on. Sorry, I just thought with a top like ours in rather good condition that we could get a deeper black in the one coat.
      Hind-site 20/20 now? Ok maybe another coat would have helped?? Well, read the side of the container, our top was not "badly faded". I have about 400ML left, if they want to send me another bottle at no cost I'll give it a go again with two coats and update my review it it produces positive deep black results. (Is your/their definition/perception of black different from mine? Works "brilliantly"? Now there can be the catch I suppose.)

    Hi Graham
    Yes, this should do it - be aware, though, that you will probably need two coats (let the first one dry) and it will make the material slightly stiffer than it was before. This is paint-based tech so will sink nicely into the pores of the fabric ( doesn't work on vinyl). Also, clean the fabric well before use. This vid is quite old now and Renovo has reformulated the cleaners to be easier to apply, so they will appear different than they do here. The team at Renovo are always happy to help and advise, as it is a family run company and the customer is king. You can colour successfully from light to dark, but not the other way, so this should be fine for your project. I've used black and navy blue on everything from cycle panniers to canvas shoes. The dye is very long lasting, and if you reproof afterwards, you'll have a roof that looks almost new! One point - any stitching that is white or beige will also be dyed. The proofer is also great at sealing up the stitch holes, which 'work' with age and let water in. If you have a leak, it is usually at the stitch holes, and easily cured! Cheers. Jake

  • @jakekavanagh7385
    @jakekavanagh7385 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi AwesomeFuture777. Apologies for the tardy reply. I have run your question past the manufacturers, and this is their reply. "It is possible to change the colour of your soft top from white to black using Renovo Soft Top Reviver. However, Soft Top Reviver was developed to bring back the original colour, not change the colour and consequently there are risks involved with this process. A number of Renovo customers have changed the colour of their fabric soft tops using this method and the feedback has always been positive. Please contact their customer services to get the specified documents that will help you with the process."
    Hope that helps! Cheers
