Sold ebay items are the worst place to get prices, the seller can make 5 accounts and petends to buy his own product for alot more then they are worth. Then they petend sold items sold for more then repost them so people think other ones sold for more. Its so simple to fool the new generation because they believe everything they see online
@@sendit1158 same on Amazon but you can’t even see or know they sold or any purchase history. You can just list a hot wheel for whatever price you want. eBay you can see a full history. You’re a bit confused?
I don't believe in collecting something because of it's value. I collect things that are significant to me. My favorite movie or brand or a particular model like the Camaro. Collecting is more fun if you collect what you like instead of worrying about how much it's worth.
I guess the most 'speculation' I do is I'll dig through the bin to see if I can find one or two more if I find one I like. Got to keep one in that precious package or it won't be worth anything! I've got a couple of the Yellow Submarines and Landspeeders. I've seen quite a few of the Hover Mode Deloreans around here but haven't bought any yet, would rather find more of the Hirohata Mercs instead.
That’s some good advice. Luckily i bought 10 of the pink barbie cars when i saw them. Not to mention the full 18g tote i have of the “Screen Time” cars 😉
I could be wrong but I feel like that IF is a no cause my Dad is having the same idea with the super treasure hunts and the normal ones we legit have 3 of the Toyota Land Cruiser treasure hunts and my Dad was excited to find the purple Shelby super treasure hunt and the original but I keep seeing the treasure hunts specifically just drop in price for like 10 bucks I could've bought the black 80s Dodge Ram one which tells me these will just be something you get and never wind up selling which is good if you like them or bad if your trying to sell them. Idk what a scalper is I think its people digging through stock to find a certain car (correct me if I'm wrong but sometimes that becomes a mess I was looking for the red and the white Mitsubishi Pajero from 2023 and I found them both finally I still remember that I spent 3 months looking for the red one and one morning at 7am my mother went to the bathroom so I was alone in the aisle and I found the red one lying face up in a pile I was so excited I finally found it but the only issue is the box wasn't mint it was like someone threw it so I guess that car wasn't on someone's list and I was lucky enough to find it in a dump bin
Scalpers is scum im %100 with you i just got into the hobby and i allready qant to quit and there is nothing worse then taking your kid ti the store to see empty shelves
Will find them all for a buck today and in 20 years they will be worth … a buck. There is no value to cars made in high volume and never opened. The only reason older pre 90s hot wheels are worth anything both loose and in the blister is because we opened them. As for the scalpers, they are the only ones making money, it’s done in the first month then after that almost no one cares . I know guys with tons of popular sets from the 2000s not worth anything cause no one cares. It’s a shame. But good luck you never know you may get a lucky one
The one and only Super Treasure Hunt I ever found in a store was the "flying DeLorean". No rubber tires, basically just a better detailed version of the mainline one. I never saw the Star Wars Land Speeder in a store either. Scalpers here are really bad.
Not all movie cars go up in value. You can not compare a delorean from back to the future to a barbie car... anything back to the future hot wheels or not goes up in value. Good luck trying to get your money back on half of those other screentime models.
thats how much they go for but, doesn't mean your gonna sell it for that price
True, but it starts with market price
I don't think amazon is the best place for accurate prices. The sold on eBay tells a different story then your telling.

I open 99% of mine as soon as I get home
Only a few special ones I leave in the package
“;-)”🚗👍

Agree with you on the screen time going up but no scalping
Amazon is the worst place to compare price. Completely unrealistic. Show the eBay numbers

Great to hear you found it! That red Pajero is awesome!

I feel your pain 😭
Screen time has always been my favorite series.

They are very selective sometimes
I’ve never been happier to be a an out of box collector.
Just open them and enjoy them. Resellers are ruining the fun in this hobby

You can't look at just one price or you will fool yourself
Yes I'm still learning myself...😅
