I'd really like to spend some time on the Africa Mercy or Global Mercy after having lived on the Anastasis for 8 years. And thank you for your VLOGs . The steel has changed a lot but the people and the love of God are the same it seems.
Great question, letters normally come in people's suitcases and are delivered to our "post office" but larger boxes and items are placed on the container (because otherwise you have to personally pay per pound).
The ship has a lot better wifi than we use to so as long as you don't mind working full time and also being a student than you can you can totally do that! You just cannot work part time in order to also be a student

Great question! Most crew have cabin-mates-- there are a few single cabins reserved for specific jobs that require people getting up in the middle of the night, being on call (stuff like that) but those are few and far between
Feels like a silly question, I would love to apply and commit for a long period. How does it work with days off? I have an important family event for which I want to be home for 2 days - how would that work?
This is not a free kindness but a hidden agenda to prey on the vulnerable. I'm not saying the folks are bad on the ship, but the ultimate goal is to convert you to their religion. A genuine kindness should be agenda free!

When do you head to Jerusulem? When you are done in Jerusulem, will you spend time in the ship again, or go straight back to seattle?
I am in Jerusalem now and after this I will head back to Seattle yes :)

The Africa Mercy is the largest non-governmental hospital ship in the world and fully staffed by volunteers.

Rica Saluria no the ship is crewed by volunteers. We actually pay crew fees each month for our housing, food, facilities etc.
