Exactly what I see. Estranged from her family, career stagnant, relationship drama, legal problems etc... She has a long road to healing. Hope this isn't just damage control, hopefully she's really gonna grow and do better. When reality TV makes u, it can easily break u... Gotta have other avenues for success.
The way she backed that statement up with explanation: I'm better than before; (I can say) I'm good today, Is like when an addict has come into a new sunrise on an upturn, not looking back or forward, or her sister Toni, who has lupus sayind, "today is a good day." It's a manner of not over-pitching it--of staying thankful for that moment and staying humble. God's grace is giving her good insight. 🙏

Theres no such thing as completing your healing. Healing is a ongoing forever process. Theres always something to heal from. Some people have to stop running from themselves and show up as themselves and not this perfect got it together individual.
I've been saying the same thing! Just go heal yourself and stop going to the media. If you are healing you dont need to be talking to ppl abt it. It just needs to be her and her therapists. When will these celebrities learn that reality tv and the music business is the devil. You can be popular and successful in other ways without it
I almost feel guilty in a sense for giving these shows ratings over the years Basketball wives Real housewives Love and hip hop Braxtons People love drama but we all have to come together and stop watching this crap then the narrative will change .... hopefully
As a Black woman I never understood why Black women revered these horrendous shows. Sometimes Black people are our own worst enemy. We support and encourage the acting out on tv but get upset when society treats us in a way that we portray ourselves on tv.
I agree with u. Thats why I LOVE keeping up with the kardashians. High frequency happy feel good show. My number one reality show since it started. The only one I watch. Love & hip hop and the rest are low frequency garbage. This sistah loves the Kardashians. They're far from perfect, they have their family problems and get fair share of criticism......BUT What I LOVE is how they chose to portray themselves and the storylines shared/created. They don't market themselves as the drama super toxic family, with crazy scenarios to gain views. The black reality shows are parasitic and thrive off of toxicity. While the "most" successful reality shows are the total opposite. I cannot breath, feel drained n sad if I were to watch those drama filled reality shows. So unstable, sick and not entertaining. I'm glad I dont gravitate to that in the first place. I love Tamar and feel for her, but watching her on reality TV is very, VERY , oh so very draining. I think she needs a break from social media, a detox. I can never fully watch a reality show which includes her..its just too much. I thought the Braxton show was decent but couldn't watch after a while.

I agree I always felt the BRAXTON'S have some deep issues. The mother is mean and bitter... remember Toni said if they were not her family they wouldn't be her friends. The brother NEVER comes around or spoken of at all.

When women cry especially for a situation about suicide family and sexual abuse as a child not saying these things didn’t happen or she isn’t going through anything I’m just reading her vibe and energy she is faking for the cameras and probably got paid for this interview so how can anyone take it seriously on the level these subjects need to be taken serious on.!!
The sad part that people miss is this lady is a human being. At the end of the day we all have vulnerabilities. Have some compassion people. We all go through ish from time to time.
Yes, being molested/violated from the tender age of 6 to 16 is severe trauma! That has to completely take a toll on any girl/ woman. I believe that’s the core of her issues. A lot of her anger is derived from that. You can’t sweep something like that under the rug or pray it away. God gives us Therapist to get healed. God uses various vehicles/ways to heal us. Hopefully she gets the help she needs so she can be the real Tamar we’re suppose to know. Cause the Tamar we know is TOXIC and I’m tired of her antics and taking no accountability for them.

I met Tamar once in real life. She was the sweetest spirit - complete opposite of what we see on tv. I was nervous to approach her for photo, but I went up to her anyway. She was so welcoming of me in her space even though Vince kept nudging her away. Black women experience so much trauma - I am wishing her healing & the love only God can provide.
That's amazing! People can have an opinion on Tamar but at the end of the day she is still human and I'm so glad she's still here and she's feeling better and doing better she deserves happiness.
People are missing the fact that the news of the sexual assault that happened to her as a child is what triggered her. Who is helping Tamar to heal from that long suffering trauma?
Regular visits with a therapist is her best chance of being helped. Learning to heal from her trauma isn't something that is going to just happen. At some point, we have to place the responsibility of Tamar getting help on Tamar's own shoulders. She has to be ready and willing to do the work it's going to take to get her healed.

Tamara wanted her own success...forget about carrying her sisters or that her sister is toni braxton..she wants her own success and I def understand..no as far as abuse..that is a whole trip by itself .I know I wouldn't want to help family if the played with knowing I was being abuse and did nothing but it the sad truth that nobody does nothing and allow it to continue..broken world
People really underestimate the trauma “the angry black woman” stereotype causes. The sacrifice we make in terms of limiting our voice and in order to be accepted, considered valuable, or simply worthy to be in a certain position/environment is suffocating.
Tamar was never speaking loudly about anything that made sense. It was her speaking loudly over her not getting her way. She was fighting for women’s rights, inequality etc. she was screaming how Vince was rich and better and everything else.

Tamron is a television host not a psychiatrist. Her job is to interview Tamor, which calls for questions to be asked. Tamar needs to seek professional help and stop getting in front of the camera. She's not emotionally equipped right now to be an open book.
Love Tamar but I feel in this interview she is still holding back trying to force tears. She needs to step away for awhile, get 100% healthy. My prayers are with her.

Tamar must get to a place of accountability with how she treated her sisters over the years. She destroyed her relationship with them. Remember when Tawanda was at the attorney office about to file for divorce? She just dogged Tracey constantly. Insinuated Toni was jealous of her raising fame. Made numerous insensitive comments about Trina and Gabe’s marriage... Even made a song about it. Just horribly insensitive behavior.

Tamar reminds me of my narcissistic sister always creating drama, abusive to everyone in the family. Abusive to her husband who gave her the world. YeS! And I learned when I started therapy last year that childhood trauma doesn’t have to be sexually & when I realized that, I was like damn I definitely have childhood trauma which effected me mentally and didn’t even realize it.
That makes me so angry when an interviewee has the strength to be vulnerable and share their story and the interviewer doesn’t even have enough respect for that by allowing her to share without cutting her off

It set her apart and got her a job on ‘The Real’, and many other gigs..it brought in the ratings.. Hello! But it was a facade..a persona..a fad and a TRAP! Where was God when that 6 year old girl was getting raped? How about when she was 8? or 10? or 12? or 16? She needs real actual help. Not to be alone with her thoughts for a God that was never there for her.
Tamar has been extremely UGLY to her sisters. She talked horrible about her their marriages, about their parenting, financial situations, their careers or lack of and about their appearances. They seem to always give her a pass, because that was HER. Now she is saying the show painted her in a negative light, but every time something happens to her her sisters come to her defense.

When she said she used makeup and hair to cover her pain, I’ve been there. It’s easy to judge other people’s pain when it’s not you. I’m hoping she will heal and walk away from her past hurts.
@Anne Day it’s called borderline personality disorder. I don’t take sexual allegations lightly but no one has seen this footage of Iyanla telling this to her family. Granted it very well could have happened and they just didn’t air. But if we take this out of the equation all the things you have mentioned shows that Tamar has a history of making up outlandish stories when she gets in trouble for her bad behavior typical sign of borderline personality disorder and she may need some serious help
This beautiful soul has been traumatized since she was a child! It was her secret! Just the thought of holding in that trauma throughout her life is enough to make anybody lash out! The WE network continues to capitalize on the black community, tearing them apart for entertainment purposes. This is why I no longer watch their shows. Black people need to stop allowing these networks to pimp them. We need to tell our own narratives through our own lenses.

I love to hate Tamar. Because she is sweet, dramatic, and messy all in one. I have relatives like her. Overall, they are good people just overly dramatic and immature. Nah, Tamron wasn’t a good fit for this interview. Asking the same questions but not active listening to the answers is clear here. Tamar is still weak and broken, pauses are due to holding back tears, and thinking about her answers. She has not healed. The interview felt like an interrogation and I dislike when interviews like this don’t add clarity or liberation. As far as accountability, did she not say she wasn’t being herself, she gave the network what they wanted for ratings but her livelihood was suffering. This interview wasn’t needed. I think someone like Iyanla would’ve been a better choice despite previous situations between them.
This interview is too early after her crisis. She needs to step out of the lime light and heal..Maybe in 2 or 3 years..and being asked the hard questions and responses trembling, trying to complete a thought that she is not ready to conform...l pray for you Tamar.

To be honest, Tamar still won't acknowledge her faults and allow herself to FULLY heal. Its not the network, its herself. Even when you give your life to God things happen. God put professionals on earth to help with mental illness. There are mentally ill pastors, priests, deacons etc in the church.

I am taking all this and making something out of myself by putting myself through school but she hates it. She feels like her son is better than I am. This is what happens when you avoid doing the work. As a person who currently working on self and focusing on "The Shadow", you MUST go through those dark parts of yourself that it YOU! Trust its hard, its scary, but you gotta get to part to identify them so it cause chaos in your life. I saw one episode of that reality show and was like whhyyyy are you doing this? You need to be away from Television. I pray that she can go into a quiet place and be still so she can focus on her healing.
Yes, yes, yes. I started therapy last year, and I wasn’t really putting my all into doing the work but when I decided that I had to give my all, everything changed. So I totally agree. People have to do the work, they just have to, no matter how hard it is and it is hard but worth it in the end.
I think you’re right about #2, someone in industry who is familiar with her once shared that the Tamar he knew was a bit quiet, more reserved and actually nice and it seems once she got on camera she built up a persona. He said she never used to behave like that or at least when he and his wife would hang out with her and Vince.

Tamar had problems BEFORE this interview. She has been volatile and explosive and crying for help for years. Season after season on that reality show, I kept wondering when this woman was going to stop acting like a little kid who was always throwing tantrums and demanding attention was going to going to realize that she is a grown woman in her thirties. I am not sure if she was raised different being the youngest in the family since none of her siblings come close to acting like her, but she has needed intervention a long time ago. She needs some real down time to get in touch with herself with someone not on television.

And she says again allegation. 😣 I mean, I get that technically it’s an allegation but she should have just shut up and listen or used the word revelation. This interview is honestly amazing , my cousin unfortunately took his own life a few years back and no one saw it coming (our family will honestly never heal from this) but I really feel like Tamar is so strong and incredible for speaking out about this and hopefully can inspire other people to seek support. I really hope Tamar is doing ok (as best as she can be 💗) and that she knows there are people out there supporting her as well as her family and friends xx Tamar you’re a beautiful strong woman and I wish you nothing but the best ❤️❤️

Through all the dramatics, she was always one of the most gifted, honest, and beautiful people in this world. Even though she didn’t think we could see her, we could. I love her so much. I think the allegation was that Iyanla brought up the sex abuse. Not the actual sex abuse. Tamron isn’t saying Tamar is alleging that sex abuse took place. She is saying that it is alleged that someone said that to Iyanla and that Iyanla brought it up on the show. None of that is proven.
She's changed guys. You can see it. I think her energy has changed and she was very unhappy before. She seems so calm and so relaxed. I think it was about the sexual abuse.
Because they have to tread lightly on tv. They could be sued. They always say "alleged" or "allegations" unless there's already been some type of conviction. Trust me, that was intentional. They're not fools.
This breaks my heart. Regardless of what’s true and what’s not, she’s struggling with something powerful and very real. I just pray for a break through for her and her family to get through everything and come out stronger than they ever were.
Being a sexually abused man, now in my forties I understand where she comes from. I've let no one know i was sexually abused as a child. It would be like opening the stitches up again. Very humiliating.

Once u consider committing suicide then a person has hit rock bottom an thinks there is no way out! I had a friend that committed suicide bout 2 yrs ago right in front of the hospital in my hometown. She tried to get help by walking in the hospital an telling then she was about to do it an really wanted help but guess what they did..........THEY TURNED HER AWAY AN GAVE HER A NUMBER TO A SUICIDE HOTLINE. She is using her pain as an excuse to hurt others and I think that's the most abominable part of this saga. Why abuse innocent people because of what another family member did to you, yet she is protecting her abuser. He is living his life or resting in peace and she is terrorizing everyone else because of personal past trauma. Maybe it's time once and for all to deal with it privately, she needs to speak his name out loud and say everything she couldn't back then and forgive him. That's the only way to reclaim her power. Then she needs to forgive herself for not being strong enough to fight back. Take it one step, one hour, one day, one week and so on at a time. That's what I do. I have some good days and some bad ones but I'm here and he not. So I refuse to let him take anymore time away from my life. It's a work in progress.

Love & hip hop and the rest are low frequency garbage. This sistah loves the Kardashians. They're far from perfect, they have their family problems and get fair share of criticism......BUT What I LOVE is how they chose to portray themselves and the storylines shared/created. They don't market themselves as the drama super toxic family, with crazy scenarios to gain views. The black reality shows are parasitic and thrive off of toxicity. While the "most" successful reality shows are the total opposite. I cannot breath, feel drained n sad if I were to watch those drama filled reality shows. So unstable, sick and not entertaining. I'm glad I dont gravitate to that in the first place. I love Tamar and feel for her, but watching her on reality TV is very, VERY , oh so very draining. I think she needs a break from social media, a detox. I can never fully watch a reality show which includes her..its just too much. I thought the Braxton show was decent but couldn't watch after a while.

So very very very true! I didn't address childhood sexual assault/rape until I was in my 30's and it was probably the worst mistake of my life... Something's are _EXTREMELY_ difficult to talk about.

Yes, being molested/violated from the tender age of 6 to 16 is severe trauma! That has to completely take a toll on any girl/ woman. I believe that’s the core of her issues. A lot of her anger is derived from that. You can’t sweep something like that under the rug or pray it away. God gives us Therapist to get healed. God uses various vehicles/ways to heal us. Hopefully she gets the help she needs so she can be the real Tamar we’re suppose to know. Cause the Tamar we know is TOXIC and I’m tired of her antics and taking no accountability for them.

I met Tamar once in real life. She was the sweetest spirit - complete opposite of what we see on tv. I was nervous to approach her for photo, but I went up to her anyway. She was so welcoming of me in her space even though Vince kept nudging her away. Black women experience so much trauma - I am wishing her healing & the love only God can provide.

Correct unhealed trauma is often not is not talked about
Regular visits with a therapist is her best chance of being helped. Learning to heal from her trauma isn't something that is going to just happen. At some point, we have to place the responsibility of Tamar getting help on Tamar's own shoulders. She has to be ready and willing to do the work it's going to take to get her healed.

Tamar has been extremely UGLY to her sisters. She talked horrible about her their marriages, about their parenting, financial situations, their careers or lack of and about their appearances. Nah, Tamron wasn’t a good fit for this interview. Asking the same questions but not active listening to the answers is clear here. Tamar is still weak and broken, pauses are due to holding back tears, and thinking about her answers. She has not healed. The interview felt like an interrogation and I dislike when interviews like this don’t add clarity or liberation. As far as accountability, did she not say she wasn’t being herself, she gave the network what they wanted for ratings but her livelihood was suffering. This interview wasn’t needed. I think someone like Iyanla would’ve been a better choice despite previous situations between them.

I am not sure if she was raised different being the youngest in the family since none of her siblings come close to acting like her, but she has needed intervention a long time ago. I think the allegation was that Iyanla brought up the sex abuse. Not the actual sex abuse. Tamron isn’t saying Tamar is alleging that sex abuse took place. She is saying that it is alleged that someone said that to Iyanla and that Iyanla brought it up on the show. None of that is proven.

This breaks my heart. Regardless of what’s true and what’s not, she’s struggling with something powerful and very real. I just pray for a break through for her and her family to get through everything and come out stronger than they ever were.
Being a sexually abused man, now in my forties I understand where she comes from. I've let no one know i was sexually abused as a child. It would be like opening the stitches up again. Very humiliating.

You are 100% correct❗❗❗ people keep saying she not mentally sick but SHE IS! To me if u are trying to commit suicide then you are completely broken on all platforms. Once u consider committing suicide then a person has hit rock bottom an thinks there is no way out! I had a friend that committed suicide bout 2 yrs ago right in front of the hospital in my hometown. She tried to get help by walking in the hospital an telling then she was about to do it an really wanted help but guess what they did..........THEY TURNED HER AWAY AN GAVE HER A NUMBER TO A SUICIDE HOTLINE. WELL UNFORTUNATELY SHE WHEN BACK TO HER CAR AN SHOT HERSELF IN THE HEAD. THE RECEPTIONIST AT THE FRONT HEARD THE GUN SHOT. TO ME THE HOSPITAL SHOULD HAVE NEVER TURNED HER AWAY. I KNOW ITS NOT THEY FAULT SHE KILLED HERSELF BUT THEY COULD HAVE BEEN HER SAVING GRACE IF THEY HAD JUST TOOK HER IN AN ADMITTED HER TO THE PYSICIATRIC WARD THAT THEY HAVE THERE AT THE HOSPITAL
You don’t get to decide when past trauma comes back for you. She clearly has been acting out do to the ptsd. It’s not right BUT she does deserve chances to prove she can be a better person. Get Ya Life was a whole ass trainwreck they put the nail in the coffin.

She is using her pain as an excuse to hurt others and I think that's the most abominable part of this saga. Why abuse innocent people because of what another family member did to you, yet she is protecting her abuser. He is living his life or resting in peace and she is terrorizing everyone else because of personal past trauma. Maybe it's time once and for all to deal with it privately, she needs to speak his name out loud and say everything she couldn't back then and forgive him. That's the only way to reclaim her power. Then she needs to forgive herself for not being strong enough to fight back. Take it one step, one hour, one day, one week and so on at a time. That's what I do. I have some good days and some bad ones but I'm here and he not. So I refuse to let him take anymore time away from my life. It's a work in progress.
Iyanla is the only person that could break through Tamar and that’s why she have a problem with that episode.
