Wow..never realised before how handsome he is.
@@mitchl6896 why do you say such mean things on the internet mitch?
WHY IS HE SO CUTE
I dont knwo but he is
RIGHT?
he got the ‘tism charm
Because he’s Scottish
Probably had cute parents
Oh i literally love the way he talks
How would he have sounded if he hadn't left Scotland?
Treasure Hunter UK he would be aye here aye there ayeeee all over the plece
"Literally"?
In that case you absolutely have to watch the movie True Stories starring David byrne
@@jawknee4088 ironically, you seem to be taking the word “literally” in the most literal sense. I think they meant that they “really” love it.
He has absolutely mesmerizing eyes.
They're beautiful
god he's so beautiful
Really charming...!
Agreed
I seriously wanna give Byrne a hug in this interview...as a person on the spectrum myself, I know how he feels in some situations. He’s cute though.
Same!
I love how Swamp is playing in the background.
He looks so good in here
He's so chill offstage.
David Byrne has devoted his life to music like very few on this planet have.
I think his book "How Music Works" is a must read for every musician
I'd like to have a chat with the man even for 10 minutes
Thank you so much, I had no idea he wrote a book. I'll look it up right now! I've been listening to all of his albums lately (as well as the band's) and it does seem like he has a passion for music in every form there is. Remarkable!
Yes, an excellent read 👍🏼👍🏼
Just got it from the library - I have just finished David Bowman´s "The adventures of Talking Heads in the 20th Century"
After that you feel like you have been a fly on the wall, since David met Tina and Chris 🙂😊
HE’S SO CUTE!! I almost can’t handle it. 😭🥰
David Byrne was truly pivotal in gifting me with the understanding of what I now know all too well as my “type” (in men)
Same
@@ga6860on the spectrum or tall dark and handsome?
I just fell in love
Did he ever write a song about hair do's, not the people under them ?
One must never underestimate the power of a good hairdo.
I'll tell you later...
@@onedollarcomicbin5608 In the meantime, do you have something to eat?
So genuine back then. You know for sure he is the brain behind his own music and not some PR company or posse of advisors
true! i think it's odd how the rest of the talking heads doesn't get much credit for their work but he is obviously very smart and good at this
This guy went to my High School :D and I'm proud of it
Buzz Laxyear What was he like?
oh neat :) you should be
What high school?
OMG jealous....
Aw he's so adorable
I like how you can tell he's a savant. Completely socially weird, but a master at their craft.
I had thought of possible high-end autistic spectrum too. He seems like a smart, sensitive, perceptive cool guy to me as well.
In my case, I think faster the more stressed I get. Maybe that is typical?
Yeah I'm reading his book and he said he was mild Aspergers. He's so intelligent I love it
no he is not, but u are an idiot lol
coreycox2345 Oh you thought of that did you? Dumbo.
Damn he’s handsome
He's so hot
I love watching his head talk 😄
He seems so polite
I like his hair here
That wavy hairstyle is the best!!
Handsome and musical genius. Wow.
He feels uncomfortable in interacting and especially eye contact. Asperger I would say. Not that it matters. He is a wunderful person and I like his music.
He's talked about it before, said he doesn't feel as socially awkward anymore
@@troy8420 once you move past youth its hard to give a fuck what other people think, ive had a similar experience with my social anxiety. Its like one day you realize youre not the strange weirdo who doesn't "get it", everyone else is.
He's adorable!
All because these beautiful mad eyes :)
GOSH i actually love him so much
he's so daddy
sooooo cute
He is how I pictured he'd be, but then again perhaps he still has a persona for interviews.
My secret crush ❤️☺️
but you just told everyone in this comment section 😡 mine too tho
I'm so late to this video but same :)
Kind of cute ;)
weird to see him in a normal suit
He didn’t want his head to look smaller this time
@@Fireok73 lol
I like his demeanor. He seems like an introvert
He’s on the spectrum, which explains some of his social awkwardness.
@@jamesonjaksch4883 What spectrum are you talking about? Light spectrum lol?
@@johnbravo7542autism spectrum
In 2019 he's still fabulous and sounds great. Go see him in his Utopia on Broadway. I saw it a month ago in Boston and it was fantastic!💟
I love so much David!!
I wish I had an ounce or two of what this man has offered musically
Sounds and the ABC show Beat Box were the best music shows. Yet it was Countdown that seemed to be controlling commercial success of music back then.
Hes thinking is on another dimension and it seems like hes trying to have to understand this 1 dimensional interview
Ah, David Byrne..
I'm almost reminded of the Willy Wonka, the way he acts.
Very intriguing.
Best album is Remain In Light, from 1980. Eno is just the guy to give your band a different kind of energy ( Like U2. Come on, he was the 5th member for nearly a decade, he just didn't tour with them!), and check out My Life In the Bush of Ghosts, a collaboration between Eno and David Byrne from 1981. Really interesting samples, and Oliver Stone used one of the tracks (America Is Waiting) in Wall Street. Talking Heads' best track was The Great Curve from Remain In Light. Adrian Belew laid down some crazy guitar magic, and even Robert Palmer (for it was he)did some percussion. Genius track, and played live really well.
+blackpeter70 For me, it's between Remain in Light and 77. 77 has a crystal clear nervous energy that's more underwater on RiL.
+Tom's Box There's such a fantastic progressive sound in the albums made with Eno, mainly with RIM, but I think Fear Of Music never gets much appreciation. Pity. Cool cover on the album, too!
I agree. 35 years later, I find that "77" is definitely one of my favourites.
being a drummer and having rhythm in my soul and a constant beat with me 24 hours a day/ 365 a yr, i just cant get over how unbelievable Reain in Light is. the syncopation, the polyrhythms, the scorching Belew guitar, Eno's synths, all brought together as only Eno can. its just totally amazing, mesmerising. one of the most brilliant albums ever. and it still it didnt get close to a top 10 album apparently.
@@jimbosaul3996 I agree. My top album of all time.
He's not bad looking...! There's something about the British blokes 🧡
David Byrne is American though
He was born in Scotland, my dear man
"good time? bad time?" "yeah."
thanks for upload, respect! 8-)
This is like 60 seconds on acid
If they ever make a biopic of him pls cast cillian murphy
Or Casey Affleck 😍
What a hunk ❤
David is so beautiful and talented, I see Sci Fi too, but the mouthpiece is rediculous, perhaps needed, no worries we'll see who is there Carolx
HE IS THOU:'D
ahh so coy "No I think we should do something different" and Stop Making Sense is released within a year
Byrne lies about the band's name to the talking head interviewer.. maybe in a box (TV)
Rumour has it that Tina had a crush on him.
If you see the way she checks him out in Stop Making Sense, I'd believe it.
That's what I thought after seeing how she looks at him during gigs. That is so lovely.
Swamp - talking heads
What track was playing in the background during the interview?
I think Brian 🤔 Eno might have been in Ireland making The Unforgettable Fire at the time.
Smart people...
'This must be the place'
I think jim parsons could play him well in a movie.
hope they reform one day and write some real weird stuff with Eno just for the love of music and not for money...do a Zappa cover, write a song with Stewart Copeland about tractors and mud, do an instrumental with Aphex Twin and Primus, make a new version of Big Business, get school children to make the videos for their backdrop for their world tour just for the love of music and the arts. I dunno, it would be nice.
He somehow reminds me of Rust Cohlr
why is everyone in the comments thirsting
Because he's f---ing hot
He looks like he could be related to George Clooney here.
Yeah, they did something completely different: Little Creatures.
What the fuck is this? The npc conversations in Oblivion?
lol
Woopty doo
Looks like Cillian Murphy...he'd be perfect for a biopic
DGog224 Not sure a biopic for a d list actor is high I n his wish list lol
Boon Doggle cillian Murphy isn't a d lister.
@@biggestkidzbopfan1744 definitely a b list actor after dunkirk and Peaky blinders
@@oofym353 would say he's an A-lister by now, especially with Oppenheimer coming up. Although I completely agree that he's the actor that looks most like him, I can't imagine Cilian actually being able to pull off the Savant-style character that David is, he's just not an awkward actor in that way
idk why but i feel like Casey Affleck would -visually- be a great actor to play David in a bipic
is Donnie still with us?
yep
I could see Casey Affleck playing him in a biopic....🤷
Good Time That Time?
Yeah
NOPE
what is the song on the background?
n n swamp
ice cube
Donnie is a terrible interviewer
yea i was thinking that too
lol....the awkward, cringeable eighties
sheldon cooper
yup 8-)
yep, it always niggled me that Sheldon Cooper reminded me of someone else I admired, and just now watched the live performance of "Life During Wartime" and instantly 'saw' "Sheldon Cooper". Then this interview just fixed it in my mind forever. Wonder if "Sheldon" is a David Byrne fan in real life.
Same
more like cillian murphy
He reincarnated as jordan peterson.. !!
i love him!
where's Tina, Chris and Jerry
He went to art school?! No shit?!
