It's a shame that history doesn't seem to remember prime Shaq as much as they Shaq near the end. There are very, VERY few players as good as Shaq was in his prime. He could (and did) drop a 42 point, 20 reb, 6 block game whenever he felt like it.
+MiamiHeat682 yeah Shaq was only great against scrubs and old legends. He didn't have to beat any REAL big men when he won his rings, all the real centers and all the real big men were old and retiring! Shaq wasn't dominating against Rodman or Olajuwon or Ewing! There are several videos of Shaq being held in check during clutch time by Rodman in the playoffs, Olajuwon in the Finals, and Duncan in the playoffs! Scored 1 point in overtime in the Finals against the Rockets, and he needed the refs to win against Sacramento in the 02' WCF. Smh! If he was so dominant, why couldn't he stop Olajuwon from scoring at least 30 in every game of the Finals where he was swept?! Don't say it was because he was young, because 00' Shaq was not much better or bigger than he was in 95' he just had better players and coaches and didn't have to play any real competition! Facts!
Why do people ONLY remember that one week that they played against one another? They played each other 20 times in the regular season, and Shaq won 14 of them! And in those 20 games, he averaged more points, rebounds, and assists. Also, they did face each other again in the playoffs, with Shaq winning easily, but everyone will say that "Hakeem was old"...but God forbid we use the "Shaq was young" excuse for 1995. Fact is that Shaq beat Hakeem way more than Hakeem beat Shaq, and in those games Shaq had better stats across the board. And Shaq ended his career with DOUBLE the amount of Finals appearances and championships. He had more All-NBA selections, more 1st Team All-NBA selections, more All-Star game selections, and more Finals MVP's. But he didn't he didn't beat up on prime Patrick Ewing he isn't as good??? +Clarke Hamilton Lmao, Wilt Chamberlain? Have you seen the things he could do? He battled prime Kareem when he was 36 and still blocked some of his hook shots. He was a freak of nature. He had a very high vertical, he could run very fast, and is probably the strongest guy to play in the NBA till now. In his prime he could reach 13 feet, which is the top of the backboard. In contrast, Shaq could reach 12'5 in his prime, 7 inches lower. Wilt also had a Nowitski like fadeaway turn around jumper. He had a good hook shot, and he dominated the inside of the paint. Sure, the 80s-00s was the best era of centers, but I am very confident that Wilt would have been up there with the best of them. Honestly though, I wouldn't have been surprised if he still dominated. And don't think that the 60s-70s didn't have big men. Bill Russel, Nate Thurmond, Willis Reed, Bill Walton, etc. were all great big men who played in that era, and Wilt played them even more frequently because there were fewer teams.
+Joe Ziadan Wilt played against a bunch of 5'10 little white hobbits with 18 teams in the league then. Wilt sucked. The average bigs today like Bosh, Deandre, Stoudemire would destroy Wilt. Get outta here. Shaq was agile as heck and over 300. Cousins has no vertical ability and would get dunked on by Shaq all day. Even heavy Shaq had a higher vert than Cousins.
Ernie Johnson talking about him in college... And now he & Shaq are stars of the most entertaining basketball show in sports history. That gave me chills.
Crazy how he shot 58% his whole career, remember he stayed in the league more than he should have which hurt, also the biggest thing was he was a post player who had post moves and got his own shot. He shot such a high % because he would make a great move and instead of a hook shot he would dunk it because he was so powerful and strong and athletic. But he also had a great hook and touch around the hoop.
Shaq and Kobe side by side how amazing is that. What a journey that was. Kobe and her beautiful daughter may they both rest in love and the rest of the families who lost their lives on that tragic day.

Ved Patel I've watched Shaq his whole career. Guess what? He could never shoot, he was a weak defender, and his weight would be heavy for him late in games! If you watched Shaq in 96' you would see Rodman pushing Shaq way off the block! Rodman had 37 defensive rebounds to Shaq's 14 offensive rebounds! He owned the paint on Shaq standing only 6'7!
Lebron wouldn't be Lebron in Shaq's era.. Shaq's era = the tallest league in history of the NBA. Everyone was 6'7". Lebron would still be great, but he wouldn't get away with half the shit he gets away with now.
You’re right he would get away with more. If lebron was able to use his size and strength and hand check people no one woulda got by him ever. Not to mention he would just bulldoze the paint.
@@drickjones519 first of all, you're the goofy ass after that statement.. I said he'd still be great! But that era of players AND refs got away with a lot more contact back then man.. they would have hurt Lebron just as everybody else got hurt out there. I'm not saying Lebron couldn't handle himself and still do his thing.. I'm saying it was the mentality of that era to hurt you if you were ballin out and they couldn't stop you. So you shut your goofy ass up ... goofy as hell
Discipline and his ego destroyed him. That being said, definitely one of the greatest players ( not just centers) of all time. He was the total package and more. When he really wanted it, you couldn't stop him
@@CROATIAMAGIC Yea myths, you got it right x) There's a video of Gus Johnson being carried to the hospital because of a dislocated shoulder trying to dunk on Wilt. Reports of toes broken when Wilt slammed the ball to the floor when blocking. Bob Lanier telling that Wilt was moving him like a coffee cup. Every legend back then shocked of his athleticism and skill. Clips showing him catch balls at the top of the board, even one clip showing an old Wilt blocking the skyhook twice in a row. That's no myth, that's legend. And that's why when we discuss bball we often take Wilt out of the discussion, his abilities were unfair. Yes the guards of his era were weaker mostly (there were some big names tho but we get the idea), but the centers and forwards were legendary and he was crushing them like no tomorrow, Kareem, Russel, Bellamy, Lanier, Baylor, Thurmond, Pettit, and so on are some of the greatest players we've ever seen and Wilt was way above them. Taking 55 rebouds against Bill Russel Blocking 26 shots in a game A company tracking stats counted the blocks from the >100 games we have video of, Wilt average 8.8 blocks per game Only double-triple-double in history, and the blocks weren't counted back then, god knows the amount of quadruple double he made, and probably other double-triple-double with blocks as he was taking more then 20 blocks in a game sometimes. YES, in today's era Wilt's stats wouldn't be as great as they were, but lets be honest, from the data we have, in today's NBA Wilt prime would be at 35 points, 17rebounds, and 6 blocks per game approximatively - don't forget he could reach 13 feet just with a gather step.

Shaq is the Greatest Of All Time in my opinion.
If you didn't get chills watching this you cold already! Just WOW
2000 WCF Game 7. That’s when I fell in love with the Shaq & Kobe pairing.
Oh man when they started talking about kobe - rough. Helicopter. What a way to go.
Shaq is the second best center of all time behind Kareem in my opinion
Harry Cole maybe but shaq was to strong
hakeem and wilt before shaq imo
Hakeem embarrassed Shaq head to head in the Finals. Sorry But Hakeen then Shaq.
Harry Cole the only reason Kareem was good was because of the hook shot
wilt nah kareem bullied him with his sky hook
Kenpachi Zaraki of the NBA
Every time shaq dunks and the baskey dont break its a relief
Sweet video. Hey, what's the music in the beginning during the buildup?
Lebron wouldn't be Lebron in Shaq's era.. Shaq's era = the tallest league in history of the NBA. Everyone was 6'7". Lebron would still be great, but he wouldn't get away with half the shit he gets away with now.
Refs
You’re right he would get away with more. If lebron was able to use his size and strength and hand check people no one woulda got by him ever. Not to mention he would just bulldoze the paint.
jakeman025 Naw lebron has never been a great defender only time he looks good when he's guarding a pg or sg that he can bully
Dane Shut ya goofy-ass up. Lebron would have been doing want he wants in any era. If he had to adapt to the ”fake” hard nose 90’s defense he would not
@@drickjones519 first of all, you're the goofy ass after that statement..
Very scary to see a guy that size on a fast break with the ball!! Lol get the hell out of the way!
1:41 Shaq just told Kobe he should have passed more.
Great video editing and design, felt like like a woven story about shaq’s career
That embrace at 6:10 hit me super hard.
Rip kobe
We love u shaq
Shaq + kobe forever ❤️
Michael Jordan + Pippen= 🏆
People forget Shaq was a great passer big man like Wilt.
Imagine if he put in as much work as kobe. Absolute domination without contest
Amazing channel! Great videos, the edition very pro and the music high level. Congrats and thabks for sharing!
Puzzled how anyone can dislike this man, not to mention this video. Shame.
2:51 that’s too funny 😅😅
He hit harder than a bitch lmao.
RIP Kobe💛💜
song at 4:45?
Most amazing edit ive seen hands down and this is the 1st vid ive seen from this channel. Fucking amazing shaq + editor
Discipline and his ego destroyed him. That being said, definitely one of the greatest players ( not just centers) of all time. He was the total package and more. When he really wanted it, you couldn't stop him
Curious. Has there ever been a stronger athelete than Shaq?
dcool Wilt Chamberlain. But shaq has more physical force due to his mass and strength. Wilt however is slim and muscular but has superhuman strength.
Willsheirre Bobman i love how all of you little kids believe all this myths😂😂😂😂😂😂
dcool prolly Ben Wallace or Wilt Chamberlin, but nah not really tbh
Not sure about basketball players, but James Harrison is a straight freak
Taking 55 rebouds against Bill Russel
Blocking 26 shots in a game
A company tracking stats counted the blocks from the >100 games we have video of, Wilt average 8.8 blocks per game
Only double-triple-double in history, and the blocks weren't counted back then, god knows the amount of quadruple double he made, and probably other double-triple-double with blocks as he was taking more then 20 blocks in a game sometimes.
YES, in today's era Wilt's stats wouldn't be as great as they were, but lets be honest, from the data we have, in today's NBA Wilt prime would be at 35 points, 17rebounds, and 6 blocks per game approximatively - don't forget he could reach 13 feet just with a gather step.
song name 0:15 - 0:33?
miami nights trevor something
the play at 5:12 always gives me chills
Shaq and Kobe BROTHER'S in ARMS. Man they loved each other..
This man Shaq slams all his anger and stress into those rims goddd damnnnn
i wish shaq can play with kobe again... :'(
Shaq represents Talent but Lazy
Kobe represents Hard-working but also Talented
they are both GOAT and i love the lakers since i saw Shaq-Kobe
"litturarly every team when Shaq is on the other team" call the insurance cus we gonna need a new ring
Back when they actually played defense..
What most people don't realize is those sound affects are not added, that was what it sounded like when Shaq dunked. I think the music was playing as well.
At the end when they showed Kobe and Shaq I cried rip Kobe you will be missed❤️
