William Osborne and his son William, aged 7, are buried in a family plot, but the headstones are too hard to read so no-one knows exactly where it is in the cemetery. Only the ladies used the mausoleum! As you guys know, I love a mystery, lol. Thank you so much for this wonderful walkabout GV. Deb of Oz.
So peaceful and I can almost picture their lives and how they lived, loved, and worshipp at their church, beautiful cemetery and church, thanx GV, lovely video.❤😊
Brilliant intro again GV..The old gothic church and cemetery truly stunning..Definitely looked like bones in the crypt..This is up there with my favourites 💯 ❤
Superb video very well presented, beautiful place, first time I've seen a hedge partition between faiths very interestin g, don't think I'm could have been brave enough to look inside the crypt, though I've seen many dear departed in my time, without actually looking!
Such beauty and so peaceful. It's nice that they put what they did in life. The church they are always so quiet now but if walls could talk. The church like all of them served people their whole lives. Thanx for a really awesome video. ❤😊❤😊
@ 17:24 The plaque you were reading and each one that was around the outer wall on that Crypt also the now bricked openings on the other side was also used as a pass threw when they place the Coffin into the cubbyhole on the inside of the Crypt. Then the plaque was installed over the hole on the outer wall outside. I think someone asked that in the chat was how do they squeeze a coffin around the tight corners in there. They didn't, they pushed them in threw the windows openings because they lined up perfectly. That was good Craftsmanship, well thought of Crypt, A little before it's time so they say!
It's so sad about the forgotten people so glad though that you are there GV to show us thanks for that hope they are all resting in peace bless them 🙏💐 thanks again GV take care both of you ❤️ lovely video thanks may be there is no one around to look after them so sad 👍 X X
Great video thank you for taking the time to share it the crypt with burning is sad that people haft to desecrate a grave but just remember when you do ill to the dead it comes back to hunt you
I look for live feed or recently posted thru the day…and every time, I fall asleep, it’s happened! 😅 This was Beautiful, as they all are. Such a gem of a place, this one. Every shade of green represented, as it is if you fly over Ireland! Just a lovely area….River and hill. I can’t see how they could help but rest in peace there. Thanks again. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This had it all , death , flood , great stories , theft and beauty . I did keep thinking about the rabbit , that would have been mad if one had popped out 🤣 divided by a curtain now divided by a hedge , what on earth next ?? Thank you so much GV this graveyard is stunning and the video a belter x
Thank you so much for sharing that beautiful footage of that Cemetery and church. Every time I think my neighbor mrs. Flaherty who was directly from Ireland, her maiden name was Kennedy so I always think of her every time you showed those Kennedy name. Thank you so much for sharing and really enjoyed your video.
Beautiful cemetery, great location. Loved the ruins from the church but it's a shame to see the place so overgrown. You guys are the best, thank you sharing this lovely place with us.
I am really sorry. I forgot to compliment you on your drone work. It adds so much to your already beautiful videos. The music just beautiful! It made me tear up it was so beautiful. Again thank you so much GV! ❤️
What a wonderful video. I wonder why they didn't take the remains of the one person. I can't imagine just leaving them behind. Thanks for an adventure. Love 💕💕 you guys
The church and the cemetary are so beautiful it looks like you are not on this earth anymore. The river and mountains. What a beautiful place. Very sad what happened to the Osborne mausoleum. In burials they remove all jewelry so that there is no reason to rob the graves. Why burn the coffins? They family takes the jewelry. It must be a rumor going around. A crypt like that seems easy to rob. If there was jewelry, with stones, the fire would destroy it. I wonder where the bodies have been moved to? Maybe they creamated what was left and they're in urns somewhere? Beautiful job today. Would love to visit that cemetary and old church myself. Thank you!
They did Bury people with valuables back then. Just look at the Egyptians 👍 the woman who was talking to me is a local. She remembers going in years ago to that crypt when she was younger.
The chapel at Eyrecourt Castle may be well worth a visit. Be careful as there is a hole in the floor. It looks so green there. We have a lot of snow here and I can hear the wind moaning in the fireplace chimney.
@@GraveVisitations The Eyrecourt Chapel is near the Eyrecourt Castle and the Eyrecourt vault is apparently under the chapel which was abandoned after another larger chapel was built. Oddly one of the locals said that there was also an opening in the ground near the mansion and more human remains were in there as well. The old chapel is surrounded by trees and shrubs. I’m not sure about access as it is on private land.
@@GraveVisitations This is what they said: heya im from eyrecourt and i really enjoyed the information you gave about the history of the town and the eires, when i was younger me and my friends used to go down to the mall for fun thinkn it was haunted and stuff! a couple of times a few of the lads would go down into the hole in the alter, theres skeletons down there one of the lads brought out a skull once i know it was very disrespectful but we were kids, its was about 7 or 8 years ago!! it was the same in eires mansion under the entrance there is broken grounds and theres more skeletons in there! i always thought it was abit odd do you have any info as to y they were buried there? :) There was no response to the comment that was posted in 2011.
So sorry I missed the live 😢. I wasn’t feeling well and fell asleep. Beautiful drone photos! This was an amazing tour GV! Church must have been beautiful. The separation between faiths …! Love when you give the history and get information from the locals. You and Sue always make us feel like we are walking with you on tour.
What a beautiful setting, who would not want to be laid to rest in a place like this. I have to say you have more courage than me going into an old crypt coffins or not. May I also say that I love your accent. Thank you for this video.
this churchyard was so picturesque GV , loved the drone footage at the beginning , that Anner castle looks beautiful , was that the crypt where Sue got spooked by the rabbit 🐇, great video as always xx
Great tour GV, I like your choice of music 🎶. The church ⛪️ ruins look to be in fairly good condition, considering its age. The graveyard looks good for its age. What really caught my eye, was the mausoleum. Considering how cramped the walk way, or corridor inside is, I could not help but to wonder 🤔, how the Hell did they manage to get the coffins into the mausoleum in the first place 🤔? I may be mistaken, but those crypts look deep enough to hold two coffins ⚰️ each. Do you know where the remains were reburied at? Vandalism always did piss-me off! I hope your flooding eases up. Thank you very much GV and Sue, for a great video 📹. I really enjoyed it 😀. Take care.
@Grave Visitations Thank you very much for getting back to me. I guess that will be one of life's little mysteries. I would be concerned 😟 for that last grave you visited, by the edge of the river. I am no soils expert, but I would be afraid that any future flooding might errode the bank, and perhaps one day expose what is left of the coffin ⚰️ and remains, and wash them down the river completely. Thank you again. 😊
wow, this church is amazing! I really want to go here. I must come to Ireland now. been to Dublin many times, but need to explore more. Some of these tombs as well are incredible.
Che peccato se il mausoleo degli Osborne andrà demolito 😞 spero che qualcuno, che discende dalla famiglia, si mette a ristrutturarlo ! Grazie GV ❤ per questo video interessantissimo !
