- Teamwork video about the Colliery and workers made about 1990 in typical NCB British Coal style.
Every worker got a one at the time, how many are left.
A lot of familiar faces keep popping up.
Keep watching after the British Coal end there is a bit more.
Worked there 1989 - 2001 then had another spell 2011 - 2012
Hope you enjoy it.
I did my training with a lad from hatley in January 1980, sadly I can’t remember his name but I remember his face and his mannerisms, a good lad, we were just young then, hard to believe.
Great insight. But, coal is pretty much history nowadays
Yep they've all gone and its a real shame.
That's my dad at 4:10
My family was affected when that shut. Damn Thatcher!
My family was affected when merry Lees shut, Damn Wilson.
I thought this one would have gone on until early next decade as it gained more than one reprieve
Hatfield collierys still stands of September 2020 i pass it regularly lets hope they get the funding they need to turn it into an heritage centre

Hi there, sorry about the random post, but this is a fantastic video and I'd be really interested in talking to you about a doc that I'm making - do you have an email I could contact you on please?
Sally Lynn Hi Sally, email stuart140v@aol.com

Sally Lynn did you make a documentary or in the process ? I’m looking a year later.
This was all the government’s fault for all the mines closers . Should have stopped importing coal and subsidies the coal industry
Why? Coal is a old technology best left in the past
Bloody shame all gone now
British coal propaganda video, the lads gave their everything but it didn't save jobs.
