Honestly malcolm is a great villain for a human
Yes. He is so creepy, though, that it seems unlikely that he could be accepted as a police detective. Perhaps his affect is different since his coma and his experience in Hell.

You see, Malcolm got the Coin as part of a deal. He doesn't shoot Lucifer, he gets the Coin. Well, he shot Lucifer, broke the deal, so the Coin went back to Luci.
No, Lucifer said "I know a guy" as the explanation for how he got it back - He prayed to God in his dying moment, and God gave him the coin back in return for putting Lucifer's mum back in hell
both seem valid.
Mixture of both...he could use the coin to come back from hell, but god sent him back up...and the coin came back to lucifer as a result of the broken deal...

Oh wow, your face when you realized that Malcom had Trixie! That was almost too much to take! I got shivers! I've seen people react to horror movies with less genuine terror!
Now get ready, because season two is a _seriously_ wild ride. A real emotional rollercoaster!
And just so you know, the ship name, Deckerstar, appears in the title of a later episode, and even later, gets used in-universe! The writers know _exactly_ what they're doing to all the shippers out there! ☺
First and foremost... thank you so very much for your reaction for season one's finale of Lucifer, and for all of your reactions for the rest of this incredible season as well, Dakara!!! As you know... I love this show very much, and I love, love, love Tom Ellis as Lucifer! Tom Ellis is phenomenal, and I absolutely love this version of Lucifer within this show. He plays this complex character so differently from any other version we've ever seen of Lucifer from any show such as in Supernatural, or from the movies as well and I am absolutely thrilled. I couldn't be happier with Lucifer as a character in this phenomenal show. It's absolutely fantastic to be able to watch and enjoy a version of the Devil that is just so different, and as someone whom you actually want to root for. Sensational! :) And I definitely cannot wait for you to get into season two!!! I'm so excited for you to continue on with all of Lucifer!
Take Me Back to Hell- Thank you very much for watching and posting this reaction for season one's finale!!!! I really had fun watching this amazing episode with you, and I'm so happy you enjoyed it so much too. :)
First... I really love the opening scene when Lucifer goads Chloe and the other cops now surrounding him to shoot him, as Lucifer has given up and wants to return to Hell believing that the one person he cares about most no longer trust in him. It's very sad, but from the look on his face in this moment and come the end of the last episode, we know just how hurt and broken Lucifer really is upon being blamed for all the evil throughout the world. He just wants the pain and the blame to end once and for all.
Chloe of course pleads with him to stop, but just as the rookie cop shoots, Lucifer suddenly vanishes from before them, only for it to be revealed moments later that Amenadiel returns to save his brother, having slowed down time long enough to sweep him away. And while it might seem annoying for you and for others who watch this show for everyone to continue to dismiss or simply shrug off just how it is Lucifer is able to vanish like this, it does help add to the mysteriousness surrounding him, especially in Chloe's eyes too, beyond just in the audience's eyes. At least there's a look of confusion in both Chloe's eyes and in Dan's too when he disappears from before them both at different points in this episode. And I just love it!
Now... I absolutely love that Lucifer and Amenadiel finally come together so they can send Malcolm back to Hell. And I love seeing them fight the thugs together after they speak with Dan at the precinct to find out where Malcolm might have gone to. It's another amazing fight scene, this time with the two brothers fighting side by side and not against one another.
I'm also really grateful that Amenadiel finally accepts he's to blame for all the evils Malcolm has committed since he brought him back from Hell to try to kill Lucifer. It was wrong of Amenadiel to blame Lucifer for Malcolm's actions.
Next... I really love Lucifer's and Amenadiel's therapy session with Linda too. So funny. I just really love how Lucifer still comes to Linda for help and how she always helps him, even though Lucifer doesn't usually understand what she's trying to say until much later on, and that he always comes to his own bizarre and crazy conclusions that will always lead him to understand her advice later on. And I love the brotherly squabbles between Lucifer and Amenadiel during their talk with the doctor, while she's trying to get them to listen. I love their brotherly dynamic and the actors' chemistry with one another. Also... it's great that Linda now knows Amenadiel isn't really a doctor like he claimed. I'm glad she knows the truth about him and Lucifer "somehow" being brothers, and that Amenadiel is no longer manipulating her. :)
As for Dan... as sad as it is, I am really glad that Dan turns himself in for Chloe and for Lucifer too, in order to prove Lucifer's innocence like Chloe asked him to do. While I've liked Dan throughout most of this season, he's really stepped up a notch in this episode and because he does the right thing, I like him so much more. And I love how his actions allow for Lucifer to see him differently and with respect, as he's no longer Detective Douche. At least not for now. :)
As for my favorite scenes throughout this episode... they are all throughout the ending, when Lucifer arrives at the airplane hanger to confront Malcolm so he can protect Chloe and Trixie. I love how Lucifer uses his mojo on Malcolm to draw out his desire, thinking that the thug's greatest desire was to live at all costs, only for Malcolm to suddenly shoot Lucifer when it turns out Malcolm's greatest desire is actually for Lucifer to feel the same kind of pain he felt when he was shot and then sent to Hell by Dan at Palmetto.
Also... I absolutely love the moment Lucifer prays to his father as he begs God to save Chloe, in exchange for him doing whatever it is his father wants from him, even if it means he must return to Hell like God has wanted from him all along. And then we actually get to see Lucifer in Hell when he dies, which is sad that he gave his life for Chloe, yet beautiful at the same time because it shows just how much he truly cares about her. His final thoughts are of her as he pleads to his father to protect her, without any disregard for his own life. Fabulous! :)
Now... I absolutely love the design of Hell as Lucifer is seen walking through the pathways made of dark stone. Everything is made of stone aside from the chains seen on one of the doors that has been opened, and we see ash falling down from the skies all around him. This world is dark and eerie, and it is a new way of seeing Hell, as it differs from the typical fire and brimstone we're used to seeing in other TV shows and movies. I love it!!
Thankfully... God answers Lucifer's prayer upon Lucifer seeing what God has tasked him to do, and Lucifer is suddenly resurrected through the one time use of his Pentecostal coin that God pulled off of Malcolm and restored back to his son so Lucifer can return to Earth alive and save Chloe's life, which is God's side of the deal Lucifer made with him. Absolutely brilliant! I love the moment Lucifer swiftly punches Malcolm in the face when he goes to save Chloe, then seeing Chloe shoot him three times in the chest in order to protect Lucifer too, since she had seen Malcolm shoot him earlier. I love the moment Malcolm looks for the coin, only for Lucifer to pull it out himself as he flips it while it dissolves upon him stating the one time use was for him. Lucifer, Chloe, and Trixie are safe again, and Malcolm is back to rotting in Hell where he belongs. I absolutely love these scenes so much!
Wow...love your comments. This Show makes one think and analyse everything. I didn't notice the heartbeat at first as Luci lay dying and asking God to protect Chloe or that the heartbeat stopped as he died and returned to hell. Sometimes the little nuances in this show are so subtle and special. Someone told me...'welcome to being a Lucifan if you are analysing and looking for clues, hints, subtleties for whys, hows and what next, and have recognised how wickedly addictive this Show is'- I have to agree!

Well, now I've binge watched you reacting to season 1 of a show I binge watched to begin with and your reactions were great. It was fun to see someone else react to the little revelations, twists and turns. I love how you got it right off when Lucifer would stand over Chloe's shoulder like a literal devil on her shoulder, etc. A lot of Easter eggs like that in this show. Also, you have a really beautiful smile. Anyway, looking forward to seeing your reaction to S2.

When you said the thing about getting triggered when Malcolm took Trixie - I can relate so much. From the moment I had my 1st kid - I could no longer stomach shows or movies where a kid is threatened much less if something happens. That mom instinct just goes into overdrive and hits you in the gut.

*@Dakara* you remind me of Chloe, since you actually have a knack for guessing motives and schemes about this show. obviously, there will be factors you cannot guess, until the writers reveal them; and they also make mistakes, which make it harder to guess the reason some things happen. that said, it is enjoyable to watch you try to deduce possible events and motives of each episode, as well as your overall enjoyment of the series

I know I'm coming late to your reaction channel but I am really enjoying it. It's been awhile since I watched the early episodes and this is a good way to remember what it was like before I had watched all the episodes. A few of my thoughts about this episode and this season:
Chloe is clueless. Yes, it is frustrating that she just keeps blowing off every thing that doesn't add up but I think it is her way of preserving her sanity. If she really believed he was the Devil, it would really up-end her world view and maybe she would be afraid of him since the Devil is supposed to be evil where as if he is just a delusional billionaire, it's easier for her to keep working with him.
Deckerstar ship... honey, welcome to the club and please don't give up on them. There are a lot of us out there that ship them so hard, so you are not alone.
Tom Ellis is so, so good and frankly, he gets better and better. The chemistry between him and Lauren German is truly special. It helps that they are friends in real life so there interactions ring true. He ain't bad to look at either. In fact, the whole cast can be considered eye candy. I love them all.
Maze, Linda, Trixie, Amenadiel and even Dan are such rich, complex characters you can't help but be intrigued by them.
The ending...that speech, nay prayer, Lucifer says at the end is so underrated. You do realize that this is the first time he has every talked to his Father, not to yell, scream or criticize, but to ask for something for someone else. Perhaps the first selfless thing he has done in thousands of years, if not ever. He actually told his Dad that he would be the son he wanted, go where he wanted him to, do as he asks. He rebelled against this same Father because he disliked servitude. Think about that for a moment. God did bring him back to life, no coin necessary, because Earth was where God wanted him to be. Why did God do this, you ask? I have my theory that I can't really go into as it would spoil Season 2 but I don't think it is the same reason that Lucifer thinks it is. (Yes, I have thought about this a lot, hahaha)
I will continue to watch your reactions for the following seasons. I will just tell you it will be one hell of a ride.

Season 2 is my favorite. Not that the other seasons are bad by any stretch, but season 2 was really good. So you'll enjoy what's coming. And everyone loves Trixie. No Spoliers, but the actress has grown a lot by the new season. Not the little kid anymore. Alright, have fun with season 2.

I think Lucifer recovered the coin because Malcom broke the deal he had with Lucifer when he shot him, that's why I think Lucifer recovered the coin, I don't know if God had something to do with Lucifer's return to earth, I think That was an interpretation of Lucifer.

No, Chloe couldn't/wouldn't run away with Trixie.
First of all, she didn't understand Lucifer's vulnerability.
Second, she would be safer seeking cover and/or concealment rather than fleeing.
Third, she wouldn't leave Lucifer, an innocent civilian, in danger.
doors in hell aren't locked, the guilt of the people maintain them closed for them! So if her's mum God did have a wife once!

Lucifer's Lucifer or Supernatural's Lucifer? :P
He became vulnerable around her in episode 4 and that's where he started to care more about her and a connection started. Remember, in the scene when she tried to touch his scars. Something changed there. In the pilot he didn't care for her in that way. Can't wait to see you start season 2. It's such a good season.
Tom Ellis could be a great future James Bond/007 now that Daniel Craig quitted that character!

11:39 did he not just ask his dad (god) for a favor, having just died, there are protocols, but as he attempted to enter the gates of hell, he was given the divine intervention he asked for and was returned to deal with it himself.
he has less influence over chloe (l think) because she has firm unwavering control over her desires, like the goblin king, he has no power over her, that confuses and nearly upsets him. . .
at some point in the series they'll do a back story of how chloe gave into desire and a seriously unfavorable outcome was the result, resulting in a personal vow never give in to desire.

Can you tell Chloe was *p1$$ed* at Malcolm? She shot at him in the brewery while he was *RUNNING AWAY!* Then after Lucifer had already disarmed and punched him, effectively neutralizing him as a threat, she *SHOT HIM FOUR TIMES IN THE CHEST!*

I'm sure she does all she can. Currently, Dakara is uploading only one Lucifer video on her Patreon per week, and her latest upload there is s2e8. She has a job to keep and is a mother. So at present, she can't do more to record, edit and upload even if she wanted to.

My theory is that Amenadiel's power (or Angel's in general) also includes a type of perception filter. Making people think there is nothing wrong here. Like Ben is Glory type of power.
