One strong habit she’s had since the late 1990’ties is the placement of the voice. She places it lower on the larynx, thereby changing the “sound”. Her belts and higher pitch also changes - look closely to the “drag” of her mouth, she lowers the larynx which also preserves voice and strains it less without taking too much of the resonance and pitch Sure the voice changes which it naturally. Her mix is still a point where she halts slightly but no one can belt like her and controlled air is sick! Out of this world. Been a fan of hers for 30 years

That is vocal health at its finest! That 15 minutes did come and go quickly but I always get so lost in her voice that I couldn't tell you what day of the week it is much less the time! When she's at full power in her chest she can relocate your house, she's "The Commander" of all things vocal in my opinion.
For the poor quality sounding one of Power of Love, it was a rehearsal... because usually the “cause I’m your lady” part is lipped. For My Heart Will Go On, it would probably sound a bit better if it wasn’t the last song of an almost 20+ song set 😂... It’s great that she can even sing it at all after singing all those songs!! Also you’ll notice any of the videos from 2016 aren’t that great because that’s when her voice became exhausted after she lost her husband :( But 2015 and 2017 were very strong years for her! Thank you so much for the triple Celine reactions!! We’ve been waiting for some Celine aha
The current Misled was a very rare 1-performance only in her first concert of the tour. That footage is basically the only video can be found tho. And so as The Power of Love since it's the precious moment when she finally sang the lipped chorus live (someone recorded a snippet of her soundcheck)
Personally I believe that a lot of what you hear in her most recent performances is just fatigue! She needs to take at least a year off and give her voice a rest. But to all the haters don't be fooled! SHE'S STILL GOT IT!!!
The fatigue showed in her early morning tv show performances. Makes sense that one is not in their best singing shape at the beginning of the day. She is still the best.
I love 90s Celine but I have to be honest, I love her vocals even more as she ages. I will take 1999 through now vocals over 91 through 98 any day vocals any day
thanks again for another fun to watch reaction. You really appreciate music and I am impressed at how quickly you can assess and realize what you just heard... I often cannot appreciate fully until I have heard a song a few times LoL I just wanted to touch on a few things... 1st how tricky it is to compare a singer as they mature... but Céline has proven that has stood up to father time well in regards to her voice! LoL 2nd of course the voice has aged but, don't forget that in the 90"s Céline was not yet a mom, was 110% focused on her career ( had to prove to the world she had talent), trained religiously that instrument and did not speak for HOURS after every performances. Her reality changed when she became a mom, and the not speaking was harder to do when you have wee ones... her life is different, I amcertain she warm up pre show but I am not certain she has or allows the same kind of time to train her vocal cords ( the vocal trinity's singing is like running a marathon... that is HARD on the cords!!!). 3rd I just love watching you enjoy the immense talent that she is... Although I know Céline and her crew, although I have been praising the pure musicality of Céline, very people I know seem to be as impressed as I have always been.... and then I see you and it makes me smile! :-) SO thanks for posting... OH and wasn't the "first time ever I saw your face" DELICIOUS??? LoL Now I am going to listen to another great talent LARA!!! ( who I also know hehehe )

It’s incredible that she basically sang those exact same songs, just like Whitney’s all did, that almost all required her (and Whitney) to give each of them absolutely everything they had in their possession!! The kind of songs that there’s just no way of ‘fudging’ if you’re not feeling so good one night!! When they recorded their whole catalogues they never ever held back, so when they had to replicate live it would have been almost akin to a miracle to replicate the recordings…the fact that both of those women regularly performed those recordings better LIVE than they had done in the studio?? For years and years??? It’s just not even possible to adequately describe the sheer brilliance of them both (obviously Celinè in this instance)!! What on earth could possibly come along that would ever come within a country mile of either of them, or Mariah…the vocal trinity!! God, I am just so grateful I was alive and switched on enough to know what was going on when it was happening to appreciate them, as I still do now, if not even more so, as the time elapses it becomes more clear that they will never be equalled, let alone be beaten!! regarding the quality...i think in the earlier days they made cds and music music videos and thats why they are more clear than the recent times. most of these recent videos are all live performances where the acoustics are different especially in a Colosseum which is round in form ( circle ). they did mention on her A new Day dvd extra that the most difficult part of building the colosseum was to set the speakers at the right angles.

Didnt her husband & child die? Perhaps since she does seem more emotionally attached to SOME more current performances...I think she writes her songs & produces...if so that explains
they picked her worst clips from the past against her best clips from now. in my opinion she would've sounded better in most of the past clips if they were picked based on her best performances in the past. her voice was more powerful and agile in the past.
the clips used for her prime weren't necessarily bad, but they had to pick clips that were available in good quality and were live, and that was simply not as readily available back then. There was hardly any high quality bootleg from her 80s and 90s tours.
Celine is one of the few artist that can hit the same notes she hit 25 yrs ago

Didnt her husband & child die? Perhaps since she does seem more emotionally attached to SOME more current performances...I think she writes her songs & produces...if so that explains
they picked her worst clips from the past against her best clips from now. in my opinion she would've sounded better in most of the past clips if they were picked based on her best performances in the past. her voice was more powerful and agile in the past.
the clips used for her prime weren't necessarily bad, but they had to pick clips that were available in good quality and were live, and that was simply not as readily available back then. There was hardly any high quality bootleg from her 80s and 90s tours.
