    I actually had good results with my trinket bowls! I got the white right! I still get worried every time I mix the white. But we all have to practice!

    I totally agree with Julie, a nice trinket bowl is an awesome gift. I have trinket bowls in almost every room. Every time I do laundry I gather items from every bowl, otherwise I would end up needing a trinket bucket. Any time I visit the Salvation Army, Thrift Store, etc I look for small plastic bowls, I keep them in a box. Sadly, to date, none of my trinket bowls are as gorgeous as Julie's.

    Hi Julie. to add the black background, how many hours should I wait for the white petals to set, before pouring the black on top?

    • @PouringYourHeartOut
      @PouringYourHeartOut  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thats depends on each resin

    • @fairyspunfibers9098
      @fairyspunfibers9098 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Heather, I would wait until the pour was close to "touch" hard. Not completely cured, but hard enough the background won't sink down.

    I have used the clear plastic, "cut glass" 4 pack of bowls from Dollar Tree. They are larger, but easy to center because of the mold marks on the bowls. Great for coasters into trinket bowls.

    Aw, Julie, these are so CUTE!!! 🌼❤ I really love these bowls. 😊 Perfect size and shape, and they are so simple and elegant. Definitely like the gold edge - perfect finishing touch! 👍

    I've stopped using alcohol ink in my resin because it fades horribly. I made some coasters and had them on my coffee table and within a month the color faded! Does this happen to you?

    I love 💕 these bowls, they are so pretty. I do have a question if you don't mind me asking, but What brand or where did you get your gold metallic glass from, I can only ever find lil bottles with miniscule amounts for a ton of money? Thank you💜

  • @Nrscathy60
    @Nrscathy60 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Julie, try pigments rather than alcohol inks. See Steve MscDonald's Arts and Crafts channel and his video on why he doesn't like alcohol inks in resin. He made two coasters the same. He then put one away and one in his living room. In a few weeks he compares them. The one in his living room has faded almost to no color. The one away was as perfect as the day he made it. I'd hate to see your gorgeous works of art fade to ugly. You work so hard and struggle with having them perfect. Love you!
