Yeah these are great, seems there are two Police models available, a literal PASGT clone and this type which is like a more streamlined PASGT, both would be good and are rated 3A, the liners seem to vary a lot in them, this liner is very good apart from a slightly weird chin strap, but some of these Commando helmets have very basic shoelace style liners.
Cool I ended up just taking some of the liner out and refitting it and it's a lot more comfortable now, I did see from some videos that some of these have MK6 liners in as well, I'd assume the older ones.
In my opinion, ballistic ratings (for bullet calibers, not shrapnel) matter more for police helmets than military helmets. A SWAT officer in Chicago is more at risk to being shot in the head by a pistol than a soldier in Afghanistan. A soldier would be more worried about his helmet stopping shrapnel, not worrying about getting shot in the head by a Taliban with a .44 magnum.
Yes but the better the ballistic rating the more likelihood of stopping shrapnel as well, for example the new US Enhanced Combat helmet has a better score than 3A for shrapnel and bullets but I don't think it's technically good enough to get a level 3 rating, but still the better the protection the better.
Super cool, I want one. Yeah, supposedly things that break down Kevlar aramid: Heat (sitting it in the back window of your card in the summer) direct sunlight, perspiration (salt ammonia, etc. ) and other things. TBH I think most surplus is fine. Good find, cool vid. /Mike
Bruh this is the best helmet I ever had and I was in the military. I have 3 of these helmets with no velcro on it in size Large one made in 2017 the other 2 made in 2018. Very light, comfortable, lower profile, and looks great! So hard to get now! Do they still sell them were you live? Or anywhere?

mine was made in 1995 by a company called RBR. it appears to be an F6 MK-II or an MKI but i cant be sure because i cant find any information on when they came into production
i spoke to a youtuber who owns multiple RBR helmets. he stated that originally they could be specially ordered with different harnesses. so its most likely an F6 with an S4 lining. its a very comfortable helmet and fits well (even being a large) also has a simple "popper" button/snap closure. also it came with a black helmet cover which makes very little sense to me, if it was camo i would understand but why cover a black helmet with a black cover
@@stevewilliams2895 it’s not an rbr helmet. I own one of these and its made by united shield and is their own design although somewhat similar to the rbr
Do you think you might get a FAST or a similiar derivative helmet (e.g.Crye Airframe) at any point? They've been the fashion for the spec ops community for a number of years and seem to be making their way into police use now too.
I've heard that one of the biggest problems British troops run into with the Mk 7 helmet was that it would cut into the neck once going prone and tip forward
Not sure if you'll respond to this but I am wondering how to buy the product or where to. I looked at the website link but I don't really see an option to buy the product. Also you're the only channel i find very helpful and unique on it's own and i thank you for the info that you share and varying protective equipment.
have you had any experience with balistic face shields? like the black face masks. i have seen them on ebay for £150-£250 but thats a lil over budget for me
the lowest price one is £150 rn and its clearance. it looks to be good quality and that shit would be terrifying to run into if shtf. if i get some disposable income ill try to pick one up
Hi I don't know if you have already answered thus question previously but just wondering what you think of the evolution 5000 military gas mask. It's a lot of money and don't know if it's worth it. Look forward to your reply, stay safe buddy
Not sure where to PM you so dropping a message on one of your police videos, I have a load of police CBRN kit, some of which is duplicates I'm looking to sell on, would you be interested at all and if so is there somewhere I can PM you with more details?
Weaponsandstuff93 i found for 10 dollars some metal helmets, they are so cheap beacouse they were "recently" used in the serb-croat war so i guess thats why they are so cheap
Aineislis McClintock well there is this website that is pretty much a specially croatian ebay. All helmets there are acctually real and on some you could see bullet holes from combat.
What a coincidence, just bought myself one of these on ebay the other day. Helmets aren't my strong point and even though It was listed as ex police firearms I'm still a bit sceptical considering I only paid £30
Does it have the kevlar label in it? The Police have to sell these for cheap after they "expire" due to health and safety, they lose about £300 value once they are a few years old.
That's so awesome! It's even cooler than the MK7.
Older design
I've missed a few videos and didn't realise, i'll get one of these asap.

I love the look of it plus great video as always very informative.
Cheers
Thanks for the shout out liam, nice lid... I hated the strap on mine to so swapped it out for a usmc 4 point. Very comfy now mate

Didn’t know Kevlar “expired”. Neat info, neat video.
Yeah but it sort of doesn't. The good news is it means very expensive hardware has to be flogged for cheap when it officially offers no protection.
@@Weaponsandstuff93 and that's why we were able to get it for cheap in Poland :D We were, at least... before the war in Ukraine

I have a Danish “version” of the PASGT with an m84 helmet cover. The liner is different and the straps too i believe its buckel straps. Nice vid mate
Cheers

Cheers, yeah my old used and abused level 2a vest I've shot loads of times and it still seems to work somewhat.

Which military?
It looks like the pasgt, but the British one looks more plain looking where the helmet visor and ear space is
They originally had one that was an exact clone of the PASGT but this is the second model.
mine was made in 1995 by a company called RBR. it appears to be an F6 MK-II or an MKI but i cant be sure because i cant find any information on when they came into production
however the inner padding/mesh looks different. im guessing its an early RBR f6
Sounds interesting, they've had a few different models.

If they turn up as surplus cheaply then yes, otherwise no, won't be paying £1000 for one.
Doesn't offer anymore protection than this helmet.
I've heard that one of the biggest problems British troops run into with the Mk 7 helmet was that it would cut into the neck once going prone and tip forward
That's the Mk6.
Weaponsandstuff93 I’ve heard it’s still some what of a problem due to there not being a nape cut
I found some ballistic helmets in my local surplus store that’s either the American helmet or other
Cool
If you're able to find one could you review a Russian K6-3 or Altyn ballistic helmet?
As I've said many times most on the market are replicas/fakes and they cost insane amounts so nope.

I just got mine from eBay, Police surplus is often sold on there.
@@Weaponsandstuff93 Hm, well I can't exactly find it on ebay or maybe I am just not searching well enough. But thanks for the help.
don't firearm police in the UK get issued super modern helmets like opscore and airframes?
They get whatever they are given.
If I where to sell one of these how much do you think I could get it’s in good condition.
£30-50 is what they normally sell for
Damn you look like the skiper from madagascar penguins but army type one. Good video btw! :)
What you mean
Cool lid. Are you going to test its compatibility with various respirators?
Filmed that today
Hey, do you know what's the diameter of the bolts securing the suspension?
have you had any experience with balistic face shields? like the black face masks. i have seen them on ebay for £150-£250 but thats a lil over budget for me
Sadly not, only thing I have are the military helmets and the riot helmet.

Isn't that the South Korean mask, I was asked about that the other day, looks okay but I don't own one so can't say much about it.
Not sure where to PM you so dropping a message on one of your police videos, I have a load of police CBRN kit, some of which is duplicates I'm looking to sell on, would you be interested at all and if so is there somewhere I can PM you with more details?
Sadly atm I'm not really buying any new stuff in, really struggling to have the space for anything.
Always a problem!
The new one is either either viper or Cobra helmet
What new one?
The US uses the Enhanced Combat helmet and the Lightweight Combat helmet now.
Weaponsandstuff93 my friend lied to me wtf
Weaponsandstuff93 the one with the wierd face thing?
My GP5 arrived!!
Cool
How well would this helmet fit a s10 mask ?
Hey! How should i go about drying my masks after washing them? Currently got my s10 wrapped in towel
Put it on a draining board and use paper towels.
Think you can get your hands on an Interceptor outer vest?
I doubt it
One day ill buy an old 80s police bowl helmet, it aint bulletproof but even modern german helmets are not entirely bulletproof.
It will be far less bulletproof thats the problem.
Weaponsandstuff93 Well here not many own a gun and it was issued to Riot Police so i would rather be attacked with stones and molotov cocktails.
does anyone know where i can get my mk6 repaired?
Not really worth it to be honest unless you stuffed it with kevlar rather than ballistic nylon.
where did you buy this and how much do they typically cost
With postage about £40 and eBay as usual.
Whats the cheapest ballistic helmet? I couldnt find any cheap ones..
Probably this.
for me living in the US it would be a PASGT witch i can find on Ebay for like 50$
Yeah it's basically what is your nations most mass produced ballistic helmet? Then buy that.
Is it much lighter than a gen6? Think I'd wear a tin pot than that old thing if shtf.
Just over 1KG, so heavier than a MK6 but generic helmet weight. The MK6 is probably the worst modern helmet available.
Thanks, true that
can a gost filter work on a nato mask
Yes but not the other way around.
Do you think it will fit a s10?
It won't due to the NBC ridge.
awesome
Cheers
Will the American cover for the m88 fit you think.
Yes as it now has a PASGT cover on it.
Weaponsandstuff93 alright, nice find
