They rushed the phone to the market to compete with the S23ultra and dropped their guard on their quality control.
No, it's a cash grab. Apple said the rears are easily serviceable now. Now peoples phones will break and they'll buy replacement rear glass from Apple. 💰
Apple know exactly what they doing. Everything is working as they want. All they care about is more money,
@@UsachatnowSad but true. They only compete against the falling smartphone market sales overall. Until an iPhone bursts into flames like the Note 7... Samsung has to do a miracle to truly compete against Apple sadly. The s23 Ultra is the best smartphone to date.
Apple: we cannot profit from our lightning cable anymore, what are we gonna do?
Underpaid engineer: Now that the back of the phone is easier to replace, make it easier to break, then we'll get hundreds of repairs in!

This is good for Samsung. They're moving towards titanium too, and have the time to circumvent a lot of these issues before they happen. Learn from the mistakes of others!
If you're saying the back is titanium, then you would be wrong.
At this point I'd think the designs are already final and headed towards supply chain fulfillment to initiate initial manufacturing
The back isn't titanium the frame is and it is softer than stainless steel...the problem is the phone can bend but the glass coating can't handle that lol So it's the glass coasting that's at fault here.
Not saying the back is titanium, friends. I'm aware the back is glass lol.
Apple finally came up with a foldable phone
if you actually watch the video, the frame of the phone doesn't appear to bend, the screen stays active and in place, even as he continues to attempt to bend the phone. I think his thumbs hit an unsupported area of the back glass which made it break so easily. Not great, but definitely not a "foldable phone".
apple be like: thats what you get when you want repairable back glass
Moral of the story. Don't pre order, wait for real reviews.
Reviews can be misleading sometimes.
It's not always good to be a sheep.

Imma say this, apple is better accessibility wise and security wise.
Android is more practical and has more uses especially 3rd party.
I've went from iPhone 4s/6/6s/10, to the galaxy s10+, note 20 ultra, and still using the z fold 3, swapping to iphone again for the feel of the phone. Each has their own benefits and cons but to each their own.
All I can say is it's great there's such a difference and great that there's this much coming out for this phone like this because people need to hold apple accountable as they should every company. But really it'll just be better for the fact of competition breeds success
Overheating while fast charging is totally expected, but overheating while browsing social media is very unusual and should be a concern.
Can we expect similar flaws in S24 Ultra too ?.....i hope samsung takes these early warnings seriously
To all of you it's not the frame it's the glass back. iPhone reduce the quality of glass and also reduce the replacements price of the back glass from 500 dollars to 200 dollars this is cheap way to make profit without giving quality product.
The whole reason Zack does this test is to simulate the phone in your back pocket and you accidentally sit down on it, DO NOT SIT ON THE iPhone 15!!
Makes me happy I snagged up a 14 pro max instead. Lighter body with the 15 equals less protection. Switching materials was a stupid idea.
well Sony Xperia 1ll is very light, and like any Xperia, and it's lighter than this iPhone and still is more durable lol
Especially since very few ppl actually Cary their phones naked without a case that adds weight. Personally I like my phones heavy
The S24 Ultra is rumored to have titanium as well, I hope it doesn't have the same breaking and heating issues that the 15 Pro Max does
Samsung has enough time to learn from the mistakes of Apple. The S24 Ultra is gonna be a beast!

Memo to everybody…. ALL phones need protective cases.
I ordered the iPhone 15 pro max on Friday. It arrives today. I’ll be taking it out of the box, taking a pic of the return label next to the phone box, repacking it and heading directly to the fedex store to return it. I don’t upgrade phones often and was looking forward to the camera features. The problems left me unsettled and have me returning it. I’ll be getting a 14 pro max or waiting to see what apples response is to the current issues with the 15 pro max. My suggestion, wait at least 6 months to get the new phones as I’ve done in the past. Lesson learned!
Returned my iPhone 15 Pro Max. While I was in the store, someone came in with their iPhone 15 overheating. They were instructed to go to the apple store. Glad I returned it! I ended up walking out with the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
@@user-lw2zu9no3i I'm thinking about the same... My brother-in-law has an iPhone 14 Pro Max and his phone is still flawless a year later.
I ordered an iPhone 15 Pro Max a little late (last Friday) and received a notice the phone should ship by October 6th. I might consider asking for a cancellation (and refund) and instead opt for the 14 Pro Max.
Only reason why I already wanna ditch my iPhone 13 Pro is because I want a bigger phone. I was considering the 15 Pro Max a little more than the 14 Pro Max just for the USB-C.
The overheating issue is really bothering me to a point where I don't think USB-C is enough to overcome that issue. Not really bothered by the fragile back glass nor discoloration since I always use a case, but overheating is something I can't stand...
Lmao what an idiot move sorry bro but that wasnt smart....
And you wasted money on the same phone with just different back collor and usbc like its better to wait instead of pre ordering it real reviews might help you alot by that fam.

i have a question if its a piece of glass placed on hallow surface without glue like previous generation and has to be made very thin so the wireless coil has to be glued will it not break on any brand.
Unfortunately this seems like a serious issue... they probably loosened the connection of the back glass to the underground in order to increase repairability which exposes the backglass locally to greater bending... the smaller, thinner, rounder edges lead also to less drop disability (see drop tests against the 14)
@@dadillonful oh no... look at the video again a bit more carefully and compare it also with the last three iPhone maxes as well as the last three Samsung iterations.... the stress on the backglass was quite low... and quite common in everyday use... also this is still a euro 1600 phone and backglass repairing for Euro 200 is still far from cheap....
For smartphones usage, I always concerned about heating issue, for iPhone 15 Pro max is very disappointed. In my country it cos 1900$ for 512g model
To reduce weight the glass sheet is much thinner...quite thin
Actually the 14 pro max had an aluminum sheet that was fused to the glass making it stronger and with the iphone 15 they fused the aluminum to the main body instead of the glass making the unit much weaker.
In short, they designed the phone like an idiot
is it same with base i phone 15 too pls answer i wanted to buy one but now i am uncertain

Fact check:
The iPhone Pro and Pro Max are still getting assembled in china and the majority of heating issue is in these models.
The news that Europe is rejecting Indian models is a big rumour originating from a social media platform from China.

I've never been fond of glass back on any phone, no matter how tough or weak it could be. My preferred back material is that awesome vegan leather I've seen in recent phones.
Everything that Apple fans said about Samsung to bring it down, became real. 😅
Zack told the problem is the strength of the titanium. It doesn't give the glass any clearance to compensate pressure. Samsung will do better with S24 Ultra 😉
One more reason could be the glass is now no longer glued to the frame and that made it structrurally weaker.
@@TechTalkTVRight, and there is space between wireless coil and other components so if you press to much in the middle it'll probably crack
Best way to protect your iPhone 15. if you don't want to break your iPhone 15, don't buy one.
I think since the side frame is more rigid with titanium, it’s causing more strain on the glass since the titanium has less give… my iPhone 11 is impossible to break, the aluminum is softer and I spend most of the impact
It’s a good thing I’m still rocking my iPhone 12 Pro that I got last year around this time. I still want a 256 GB iPhone 14 Pro Max bc my phone got water damage so that affects my ft audio quality and the mic when doing anything but a phone call without my Gen 3 AirPods or other headphones.
@phonerepairguru did a video about this and found that on the 15 series, there isn't a metal plate attached to the glass unlike the previous iPhones too.
Apple must reduce its price by few figures to address this durability problem
Been sitting on my 15 pro max since I got it Friday, no issue at all. And it’s not been nearly as hot my 14 pro used to get
This year iphone 15 series back glass is removable for easy repairs so the hard back plate beneath the glass is removed so it made more prone to shatter. But it’s not a dealbreaker because the now we no longer need to change the entire housing it self , it just the back glass needed to be changed

Do you know what? After being fooled by Samsung and their stupid Exynos on my s22u, a good case is all this iPhone needs. I was actually charging my 15PM whilst playing Mario Kart and it was only slightly warm. After being with Android for 8 years, the 15PM so far surpassed my expectations so, you're welcome 😊
@Rinnara21 How the hell did Samsung get mixed into this? You need to touch some grass and tuck your sorry ass excuse in bed.
you're welcome, mine has been amazing because i'm not actively trying to damage my 1K dollar device like nimrod content creators
I bought the 15 through pre-order because of the deal I received, however, I am disappointed about durability but not too concerned. I am more worried about the thermal dissipation. I've never understood the reason for not buying a case I understand we all love the pretty colors but at the end of the day, you can get a clear case. I just hope that a case can still protect the back of the phone from shattering. If mine does I'll come back and reply to this comment. I will say however the new phone is extremely fast and responsive when I go to use it or even using Siri. I also do really enjoy the new action button however I'm a bit disappointed it can only be used for one action. Overall upgrading from the standard 13 to the 15 pro I've been satisfied with my purchase.
I have the iPhone13 pro still look new midnight green one with a otter box case I’m keeping my 13 pro👏👏👍🦺💳
Me sitting here texting on an iPhone 10 that has 76% battery capacity left - I guess not getting the new one isnt so bad after all, even tho I was looking in the market for another iphone…. if they’re gona nerf performance on the 15 to dull the heating issue, whats the point, get a 14 or 13 then…. this is so stupid….
So if it heats fast, then obviously it will heat up much faster with a case? Was planning to get the 15 Pro but with these issues, I am now hesitant given how expensive they are.
Could be because of the titanium since it conducts heat better
Also I’d say if you have anything above an iPhone 11 you should just wait till the 16 or consider a different phone
I’ve heard that the battery on the pro is quite poor. That being said, I’m super impressed with the Pro Max (after 8 years on Android) and I’d highly recommend it. Zero issues with heating and, like most normal people, I use a case with my phone 😁
Yes what we know about Apple is that they are good when it comes to security, but other issues especially the battery, they aren't pro in that.but we hope the best in other departments.
Security not so much
Samsung also comes with knox security which is used by many defence organizations if I'm not wrong nd in 2023 security and privacy is just a joke if youre using a smartphone
I guess you never heard of Pegasus. Time and time again they manage to hack the iPhone with zero-click exploits.
Samsung also has a history of great batteries 😅
This is the first year ever I am willing to try an iphone and then we get this..ppfff rolling a 200$ xiaomi for 4y now and no.problems 😂 which doesnt make it simple to go for anything other then go back to a cheap smartphone 😂

I've also seen on TH-cam a bunch of drop test for the entire camera module pops off..!
Wow it’s like Apple totally skipped their testing phase.
It's bad when the A17 pro matches and is even worse than exynos in heat dissipation
I just got this phone and I have several scratches all over it. Have had it for 2 days, I’ve never been so disappointed in an apple product.
15 pro user: my phone bent and the glass is now shattered.
Tim Cook: You're sitting on it wrong.

the phone has no structural titanium its is paint mixed with fine titanium dust and sprayed on the outer frame don't be fooled
13 pro max is still the king of all iPhones specially the battery life 😂 don’t let apple fool you salute to all the 13 pro max owners hold on to the investment!
If your iPhone gets too hot, "your holding it wrong"
I dont care about the situation or circumstances regarding a broken screen (within reason) no phone should break that easily. It's clear the only thing giving the iphone 14 support was the fact it was adhered with an adhesive that signalled a clear anticonsumer/ anti repair mentality. Even now the back glass is clearly more repairable, it is more fragile. Not hard to connect the dots on that one. No phone should break that easily, period. The titanium means nothing (themal transmissive inefficiency aside) if the glass is the bottleneck. Simply, the design is poor at best and the void behind it causing instability is inexcusible.
I have worse issue on gaming.. getting stck up on joystick left. Its annoying. Sometime it triggers some random touch on the sides does cause the problem
Cant wait until Samsung 24. Bye Apple.
I had almost all 2023 flagships (iphone 14 pro, s23 ultra, Xiaomi 13 ultra, oppo find X6 pro, Honor magic 5 pro, Pixel 7 pro and now 15 pro max) and must say that top 3 were Iphone 15 pro max, oppo finf X6 pro and finally, s23u.
I am so happy I did not skip 15 pro max as the camera is an absolute beast!
I HATE stainless steel because it does not go well with my OCD. It is impossible to keep stainless steel scratch free. High gloss shows any micro surface scratch if you put it against the light. And it was driving me insane!
Titanium is brushed and all my phone "problems" are now gone.
I had zero throttling and overheating issues and as far as the bend test goes, it is stupid, it is a PHONE not a hammer.
Especially if you use it with a case you have nothing to worry about.
Sweet if you have two iPhone 15 you can make a grilled cheese sandwich.
I love your content sir, I don't necessarily agree with you about titanium not being the problem. Titanium is very soft. It's not super adorable, especially if you only have any sheet of titanium aluminum mixture. It's just not strong. I've dealt with titanium and titanium products is a great conductor. If you have real dense titanium it can be real strong but then sheets of titanium are going to act like this 100% all the time.
Unfortunately I see this sentiment too much, it's insanely problematic considering they have the "most durable glass on iPhone ever"
Did this have anything to do with them making the back easier to remove? 🤔
Yes, it's also an important factor. Since it isnt glued to the frame anymore, the glass has become a little weaker.
@@TechTalkTV I mean it's not unusual they fix a problem by creating another 🤦
Zack (jerryrigeverything) just did the same bend test with the other variants of the iPhone 15.

Ive dropped my S23 Ultra almost weekly because of my work environment and that's with a very thin case. I can say it's very durable since the because no cracka since the release date!
They should have stuck with stainless steel. Nobody asked them for titanium and high quality titanium is pricey so they probably settled for lower grade material. BTW it's not just the heating issues....some models have scratches right out of the box.
What sort of titanium is glass anyways lol?
The back glass is not strong enough!!
I don’t get why people rushed to get the iPhone when the new one comes out it always be a problem with the phone when it first release just wait until they fixed the problems and issues with the phone then buy it

People quickly tend to spread fake news over iPhones, when it comes to Samsung or Android phones in general, and there is something with Androids phones, nothing is told.
Apple iPhones are the best if you are planning to keep the phone upto 4-5 years. But its quite sad to see apple didn’t do enough research on the build and overheating. Another thing. Titanium has lower thermal mass than steel so I am baffled how apple did not see the overheating problem coming at them...
I who am a self taught cloud engineer and do NOT work with materials or building devices seem to have a better understanding of thermal mass than them.
Now, should I consider the iPhone 15 pro max, I want to buy it but those problems make me go with the older gen, what do you think?
Many have tried what Jerry did and could not break the back screen.
Also have burn-in issues with the Pro and Pro Max models.
Quite ironic that you didn't mention the fact that zack also tried to bend other iPhone 15 models but it didn't break especially the same size 15 plus
LOL...I always try to snap my new phone in half when I buy it; I mean, what else do you do with it, right? 🤪
Why do phones have glass backs anyway? Always seemed like a stupid idea to me.
Great content. Apple should have realized that titanium, regardless of what grad it is, is not as forgiving as steel or aluminum. When the drop test showed the phone landing on the back of the phone and the glass cracking that wasn't due to the titanium. Know when the phone drops and lands on its side, the glass should break just like on the back, due to the titanium. As for the heating up, that's on apple for cutting corners. As apple always does, sell it now and fix it later. 🤨. Exspect apple to throttle down the phone. 🤔
That's exactly what I was thinking, I bet customers are going to get ripped off and get throttled phones and apple will have to pay like 15 million to settle the lawsuit. Bunch of bs.
titanium?? how you can call something titanium as more then half of this frame is aluminium, Zac showed that titanium in that frame has 1mm thickness, how the F it could be more durable than the previous iPhone, Apple, masters of marketing, they should be sued as it's not a full titanium frame.
