I’m 47 and just did my first “solo” trip in June. My husband tagged along for half of it and he said that this was a totally different Disney vacation. Much more enjoyable.
46 years old and loving coasters again! I took a break for a few years but since I’ve started visiting WDW with my kids, I’m loving the thrill again!
I just love your videos SO much, Bekah! THANK YOU for every video you create. I'm a Disney-loving 30-something mom of my 3.5 year old son and your videos are just such a treat to watch whenever I'm able (which is fewer and farther between than I would like), and they just bring me such joy. You absolutely shine in your videos and just like another viewer commented below, "your energy just radiates through the screen!!" -- I 100% agree! Thank you, again, Bekah! - Kati
This is so kind! Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️
I’m 52 and planning my first ever solo trip for my 53rd birthday in January!! I’m booked at POFQ and your video has helped to build my excitement even more!! Oh, and I’m still rocking the roller coasters…😁😂 Thanks for another great video!!
Yay! That’s so exciting! 🥳
Hi. I do solo trip every year and French quarter is perfect. It’s quiet and taking boat to Disney springs is amazing. Love it. You will have a great time. Beignet with Carmel sauce is my favorite. Another great thing about French quarter is that it only has one bus stop so u don’t have to wait long
I’ve had the experience at Flame Tree in the evening too, it’s so nice! It tends to be much busier at lunchtime though, just FYI. Loving your solo trip so far! 🍩
I always eat at Flame Tree when I’m at Animal Kingdom and that seating area is my favorite! It’s so peaceful to sit and eat and watch the flotillas go by.
The beignets are the best part about staying at French Quarter! I'm so glad you finally got to try them!!!🍩
Glad you were feeling better to get the beignets! I’m sure it was the roller coaster that made you feel that way. I’m in my 30s and cannot do those rides anymore
We love Flame Tree! It is packed during lunch. Glad to see you eating at new to you restaurants👍 That salad looked soooo good😊
Love your solo vlog! Also i definitely going to remember that sitting area by Flame Tree! Looks perfect for my toddler
My 82 year old father just rode Tron with me. So I’m not so sure it is age, as much as the ride. Everest always messes with my inner ear. But other coasters don’t.
It was the person waving in the back before you got lunch for me 😂
I’m 32 and obsessed with roller coasters! 😂
🍩❤
🍩🍩! In my 30’s and about 50/50 with coasters! Used to love them but the big ones will get me now 🤪
🍩☕ The beignets are so good with a coffee! There are spooky ones too! :)
🍩🍩🍩 loved watching this video. You crack me up!
We had our first times at Flame Tree and Satuli, too, on our recent trip last week, and both were great! Pulled pork mac and cheese was SO GOOD!
The ending is so me🍩 🤣 The beignets!!! 🤤 literally dream of those things!! SO good!!!
They’re SO GOOD! 😜😅
Im over 50 and love rollercoasters. Just take dramamine. Have fun solo🎉
My husband and I are 65 and 66 and we do all the coasters still! Can't wait for Tron for the first time in March.
🍩 love your excitement and finally getting to experience the beignets! Your energy just radiates through the screen!!
Aw thank you!!!
I LOVE roller coasters and I am 61 years young! I’m not sure how close to eating lunch that you rode, but that could be the reason. Keep riding when you get the chance!
🍩🍩🍩 So happy you started feeling better! So excited about the end of this video! That was so fun for you!!! I may be changing my plans and staying here instead in March. I love the room.
I can’t believe you have never had a Mickey Beignet! I guess that is why you are fit and I’m pleasantly plump 😂 😂
lol! Same
My wife and I both found out that high speed coasters weren't our thing either on our most recent trip, when they weren't a problem five years ago. Is it because we're in our 40s now? Who's to say, but something about riding Space Mountain with the lights off made us reconsider coasters for the rest of the trip.
i still ride roller coasters with my kids. I'm 41, but i have to take motrin in the morning which is new because i never used to get nauseous and once i hit 39 i had to start taking it every trip!
🍩 They look so tasty! Now I really need to go to French Quarter and try them.
Maybe riding Everest before u ate wouldve helped? Im 53 and love the roller coasters but it kind of is a mind game too, sometimes I feel nauseous but kind of take deep breaths and talk myself out of it, keep my eyes focused on one thing...😅 So glad u had your 1st beignet!! The caramel sauce is amazing! I Never do a trip without stopping for them once I tried them! Looks like youre having so much fun! Luv all ur content!❤❤
Port Orleans French Quarter was our first resort we stayed at as a family- we loved it and our kids did too! It is a great resort for first timers and those who love to be close to Disney Springs! You are right, the feel of the resort is amazing. Love the remodeled rooms! 🍩🎉
43 here and absolutely love roller coasters!!
🍩 Loved this one! It is nice to see you bebopping around solo and loving it. I'm in my 30's and love riding the coasters. The only one I might have some issues with is Avatar due to the glasses. I make sure to do Avatar first thing on an empty stomach to avoid problems. On a mission to try some beignets now though!
We love Flame Tree BBQ! That seating area is MUCH busier at lunch!
Yay for the 8:00pm beignet treat!!!! 🍩🍩🍩
🍩 I just finished my first solo trip and also tried Frontera Cocina and loved it. Do you think you prefer Riverside or Port Orleans?
48 and love coasters my trick is only minimum of an hour after eating. Also love the beignets. Usually get chocolate sauce and strawberry sauce yum
🍩 I am obsessed with the Mickey beignets! We typically stay at riverside when we stay at port orleans but french quarter is our list. Those rooms look amazing! We still walk over every night for the beignets and take them back to our room when we are there. The walk is so peaceful. That resort is just a whole vibe ha we love it so much!
🍩 Such a fun vlog! A solo trip anywhere, but especially Disney, is my dream!
Thank you. I have never gone solo and have only stayed at delux resorts. This looks fine.
Love Flame Tree and their seating area. AK, in general, is the most relaxing and has slowly climbed into my favorite park as an adult.
Guardians was harder on me than I expected? I think it’s the sideways motion bc that’s what usually makes me nauseous, I’ll take a fast coaster with a big drop anyway. Also find Space Mountain too rickety but I’m also older than you (which apparently matters lol 🥴)
I LOVE Mickey beignets with the strawberry sauce and French Quarter is my favorite moderate! 🍩
I'm 33 and I was fine for all the rollercoasters at Disney!
I stayed there on Friday night last week and was shook by the room renovations. I didn’t know the rooms were being renovated so I literally gasped when I walked in lol
Pushing 50 and love coasters 🎢 The more they flip, the better!
Guess I should try the beignets on my next trip! 🍩
Love the freedom you have in your day and yep stopped riding most roller coasters years ago! 🍩
We LOVE French Quarter! Those Mickey Beignets are amazing and my son loved the pool
The beignets were to die for 😍
The beignets are unbelievable 🍩
🍩 ok you sold me on it as you made it look so delish! My first time going to WDW next year and I need to try one.
I’m not sure I’m ever going to stop thinking about those Mickey beignets after trying them last month. 🍩
I’m 33 and LOVE roller coasters still. Me and my 6 year old both love them, it’s the best!
I loveee Frontera. We make sure to eat there every time we visit Disney.
I'm almost 31x2 in years and I don't get nauseous on coasters but spinning rides have been hit & miss since my mid-30s. I really need to be careful about what I eat before I ride the teacups! 🍩
Hahahahahah the ending killed me 😂😂😂😂😂
This is awesome I will be taking my first solo trip in 2026
🍩 those are the best beignets! The ones they sold at MK were in no comparison in my opinion! So glad you got to try them! ☺️
The beignets are soooo good. I’ve only had them once before but they’re still a weekly thought that crosses my mind haha! Glad you got to try them. As for the ride motion sickness thing, I’m 38 and sometimes get it. More so on simulator rides though.
🍩 looks delicious!
Omg those Zara sneakers! 😍😍
Too cute!
🍩 I gotta try them some time!
I’m fully prepared to take Dramamine on our trip 😂🍩
🍩 I love a late night beignet (or 3) 🤣🤣
🍩🍩🍩 I’m so happy for you lol I was gonna be real sad for you if you didn’t get them 😂 I need to try, never have!
The nausea thing is so real!! Rockin rollercoaster and jungle cruise are a big no for me
Ah Glad you're getting to experience French Quarter! Agreed- I barely heard anything about the refurb, and I thought they had just finished it before because it already had the raised beds. But I adore the new bathroom tile and the banquet seating! It's such a cozy, gorgeous resort. And Wooooo you got the beignets! 🍩
🍩 you are the absolute cutest!
I’m 56 and love the roller coasters 🍩
🍩🍩🍩 we went to FQ on a rest day just for the beignets and it was our first time. They were so good!!
🍩🍩🍩; ill be doing the same kind of trip and at the same resort in around 100 days!!!!!! You’re giving me so many ideas🎉🎉🎉🎉
🍩 love this series! & love the beignets
Girl great video. First after I had my first child motion sickness was reeeaaallll. To be in the parks I need a scopalamine patch and even with that I have to take a Zofran after guardians. So I completely feel you on that. And the beignets we discovered 2 trips ago and one of our top 3 fav Disney foods must get they are incredible.
🍩 40 years old. It is a tradition to ride Everest at least 3 times in a row. Our 2024 trip we did 5 and that 5th took me down. 😂
🍩 I'm dying for a solo Disney trip!
I want a beignet now - those looked amazing.
Love them the Disney bubble solo.. But that was only while in Orlando for business. Go after work and monorail crawl- fireworks at California Grill rooftop with a drink. Back in the day Explorers Club at Pleasure Island. Miss those times.
Donut = deliciousness. This is our favorite resort!
How fun!
Late 30s here! No issues thus far with riding roller coasters thankfully 🤞🏽but I do enjoy ginger candies and take them with me pretty much everywhere I go.
Another great place for cookies in Disney Springs is at the Summer House Cookie Bar - highly recommend! Also for roller coasters as we age, it totally depends on the coaster I would say. No way can I do Everest anymore, but many others I can (52 yo) so don’t give up hope 😁🎢🍩
🍩 I still have yet to try them 😂 soon!!
Loved your vlog! 🍩
🍩 next time shake the bag up and get the sugar all over them... so good!! I'm glad you are having some me time on a solo trip! All us mamas need it sometimes!
If the Gidians line is too long, go to the cookie bar at Summer House on the Lake. They are half the price and have about 15 to pick from. They also have gluten free which Gidians does not👍
🍩52 and still love rollercoasters! Love Everest and Rockin Roller coaster
47 and I love the Disney coasters. Anything bigger and I’m a chicken lol.
As a New Orleans native I’m curious if they taste the same there as they do here. 🤔Guess I’m staying at port Orleans next time.
Helpful tip.. don’t inhale when you take a bite. The powdered sugar can get you choked up 😬🍩
Love your videos
Should have got a cookie at summer house . Personally my favorite 😊 🍩
Summer house totally slipped my mind while I was there! Next time for sure 🙌🏼
I can do rollercoasters and I am 41....love Disney, Universal and your channel🍩
🍩 loved this clog!
🍩 looks so good 🎉
❤ glad you were feeling better. It might have given you trouble because you rode a roller coaster right after you ate. I'm 44 and Disney coasters are so tame, maybe try again not after eating. Hope you had a magical trip 🎉
Summer house on the lake has really good cookies also if Gideons line is too long. 😀
I’ll have to try that next time! 😍
How do you stay healthy while traveling on planes so often?
🍩 I love beignets! You are so cute, lol!
I’m 43 and still love rollercoasters. My 12 year old had me ride rock n rollercoaster 5 times in a row at after hours in July… that gave me a headache 😂
Also 🍩
🍩🍩 staying there in June and I can’t wait!!!
🍩🍩That looked amazing. 🍩🍩
I’m okay with rollercoasters but now swings at the park make me want to throw up. 🤣
🍩 I’m jealous I wish I was at French quarter those beignets ughh I want some !!
For me, I’m noticing the sudden issue with heights as I get older. Soarin’ for example gets me now. It never did when I was younger..
Rode Everest last week. Went through single rider then jumped back into single rider and I'm 43.
I can do rollercoasters. But Tower of Terror and that backwards drop on Cosmic Rewind gets me. It’s the drop that makes me nauseous. I’m better knowing if it happens and when. ALSO 3D rides like Avatar mess with me!
Could not find a beignet but lot them. I hope you enjoyed them. They are, in my opinion, better than the Tiana beignets.
Thanks for the heads up on the rooms. I booked the first night of my split stay in April there (requested the renovated rooms) so we can check it out and easily visit Disney Springs on Day 1!
So fun! All of the buildings will be renovated by the end of the year, so you will absolutely get a renovated room in April 😍
