I have had to move my plants twice after they had been in their spots for years. I cut them back hard and they always come back. They seem to be very tough plants. I guess one thing to take away from this is once a branch fruits it’s safe to remove it.

I wish there were less questions being asked during the video. I just wanted to hear from the expert.

I am wanting to train my hardy kiwi to be more of a bush than a vine, apparently it is doable, but I need a video like this to help me!

Wow, I think that would be extremely difficult to manage. These vines can become absolute monsters when they aren't grown on a strong trellis and pruned three times a year.

I am still confused. Do you always keep the original lateral? Then do you cut off the spurs after they've fruited in the second year of production? This video is clear for the first prune, but after that, how do you proceed?

4:40 From what I understood - you take off the lateral that has fruited, because you should have new years laterals for next years fruit off its spurs. The cordon can be removed every several years or so if needed.(may be tired or damaged).
