True I feel like him playing in chino hills with Lonzo setting him up made him that way or just playing with Lonzo for so long

He likes to dip the ball on the catch, bend his knees and load up, and then spring up right before the release... which is why he can really catch and shoot. It's much harder to do all that off the dribble though.

How man 6'8" guys were 5'11" as a 9th grader? Being that height as a starter on the #1 team in the country forced Melo to be the best point guard he could be and to play big. Melo might be the only one to challenge the greatest of 6'9" point guard Magic Johnson if that's even possible.

LaMelo needs to get his elbow in when he shoots. I used to shoot with my elbow out like that because it was natural for me. All my coach made me do was get my elbow in and I kept my same final release point. I immediately stopped missing from side to side so much.
