I love those ARS vs8. The auto lock is great. u just need to squeeze hard to lock / unlock. No problem once u get the hang of solid squeeze. Excellent Japanese steel. Got 1 for Dad, and for friendly neighbor too.

For any branch up to an inch these are lovely but for larger branches i would get loppers.....these are perfect for roses and citus....they are great for grapes also...until you get to the much larger canes

I like ARS better than Felco. Felco is way better than Corona. For the price Corona is awake pruner tho.

ARS has some nice lightweight models as well. I have the model with a traditional Japanese-style lock and spring (the spring looks like a giant paperclip).

@@FreedomFox1 yes I been loving my ars. Next I will be getting the small shears for herbaceous cuts

@@overgrowthplanet7531 The small ones are excellent as well. The one I describe (model 120DX) is very light, but the only downside is the handle has ridges that easily collect dirt. The 130 model comes in many colors and is even more compact (they are both small enough to put in your pockets). ARS also has straight pruning shears (also used for trimming goat hoofs, of all things), but I have yet to try those (they all start with model number 140).

Lmao you sound like those men who barly work.
After 8 hours a day of pruning grapes and roses for 2 months I think I’ll take the Japanese set that’s easier on my joints and cartilage.
