    my poor king rat needs a seal kit, unfortunately gmac customs are out of stock atm.....but after seeing this video, the seals you used look different, and completely different from what's in my gun. great video, I've been searching for a breakdown of an as2250 for a long time.

    That hammer pin slot appears to have been extended to allow the bolt, hammer and spring to be removed without the usual breech strip......what a good idea!

    Just managed to put a modified valve and breach seal in my 2250 thanks to your videos so thank you for taking the time to do this. My breach screws have worked loose a few times giving me a leak that requires re tightening so I'm wondering do you use lock tight on these?

    • @peasngravyproductions3728
      @peasngravyproductions3728  ปีที่แล้ว

      I dont use thread lock at all am surprised that the screws work loose.

      @peasngravyproductions3728  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If the threads are worn I sometimes upgrade to M4 screws also if it's a plastic breech you can add an extra anchor screw to the front barrel band so it locks it to the gas tube as well as the barrel

    Hope you get to see this; My King Rat p/sses air as soon as I put in an 88gr CO2….😢
    I want to (1) stop the leak (obviously) and (2) Covert it to 12g CO2……..any advice please?

      Find and fix the leak and add a 12g adaptor on the back I use one when testing

    Good to see a king rat strip down. That screw you took out in front of the pellet probe to or three of mine have the screw there but the others don’t. I have five king rats two I have finished and I have three to do so maybe there’s different models all mine are AS2250 king rats. I’m shore it’s two ware there ant a screw it’s not ware the pellet goes in it mite be three guns I have it may be two and I’ve thought why is this. After a valve turn what’s the most psi would you put in the valve the two I’ve done there 850 psi but the next one I do with a 24-inch barrel I’ve been told the turned valve can accept up to 1100 psi but I think 1000 psi is safe. Any way good video.we’ll done.

      Hi I've waited a long time to get a king rat in too work on usually its just parts of a king, as for psi I've seen 1800 run on them and it's normal to run 1100 on one when you change to .177 to get sub 12lbs. I was a bit shocked to see it was a front mounting probs screw and not a hidden one. Maybe next time I get one in or an XL

      @@peasngravyproductions3728 Hi my friend. I never new the valve of a king can accept 1800-psi that’s a lot. Hi, I've just been given a king rat, but when I fit a new 88g tank, it leaks gas and doesn't hold it for longer than a day. I've ordered some new seals from T R ROBB but in 1 of your videos you say one needs to buy a new valve stem as the seals are non replaceable, where do I get them from please?

    • @peasngravyproductions3728
      @peasngravyproductions3728  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      First off you need to understand where its leaking from but tbf if your going to strip it anyway its best to renew all seal for what it costs. drapers-airguns.co.uk/gun-spares/crosman-king-ratcatcher-firing-valve-stem.html or gmaccustomparts.com/oxt-026-valve-stem if you can't get one you can always buy a standard 22xx stem and cut the pierce part of the stem off as its not needed

    • @seasidegreyhounds3670
      @seasidegreyhounds3670 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Peasngravy Productions thank you for the information. Is there any reason why drapers is twice the price of gmac? Also the valve stem in the picture doesn't look like the valve stem in your videos 🤷‍♂️

    • @peasngravyproductions3728
      @peasngravyproductions3728  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      2240, 50, and 60 use the same stem with a pierce pin attached which punctures the co2 cart. The king rat does not need the piecer pin so the exhaust stem does not have it. You can cut the pin off the 22xx stem and use it in a king rat if you can't get a correct one. And no idea why different sellers charge different prices, probs what they have to pay for them + their mark up. As you know these guns are American so all spares come from overseas

      @Peasngravy Productions you're an absolute gent, I really appreciate your information and help. So am I correct in thinking that the new valve stem will have a new seal already attached?

    • @peasngravyproductions3728
      @peasngravyproductions3728  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, they come with the new seal already fitted. No one has of yet that I know of has managed to successfully just swap out the seal on its own. And glad to help
