Thank you! I am fairly new to polymer clay and you make this look so fun and easy!Could you also please give link to your two different drills and the resin you like?
Thank you 😊 I’m so pleased you enjoyed! If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask I always check my messages throughout the day! 🥰 happy creating my friend
Amazing!! They are gorgeous pieces! Gorgeous!!!!❤ I got metallic inks a while ago but they're the basic colors, copper, silver, gold and gunmetal. I usually use up my scrap clay right away. 🤷♀️ Your scraps, BTW, were beautiful. The "muddy" one looked like an oil slick to me and well, who doesn't love purple? LoL Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much, and please give it a try using what colors you have. All the metallic inks look great! And trust me some of my scraps are awful looking lol 😂 I just haven’t showed them all yet
These are fabulous!!! I hope to try it sometime in the near future! Thanks so much for sharing your ideas & how you execute them! I was wondering if you have a tutorial on how you apply the gold & silver around the edges of your pieces? Not so much how you apply it, but how you seal it to prevent it from rubbing off over time! Thanks so much for your videos, they’re very inspirational!!
Thank you for watching, to answer your question I don’t always seal the gold or silver marker. If I do I just use sculpey glazes. I haven’t had any issues with it rubbing off so I don’t feel the need to seal each one.
@@sherbearsclay thank you for your time & getting back to me! I have had issues with the marker rubbing off in the past but I believe it was due to the earrings being inside a cellophane package for some time. Thanks so much!!

They turned out so pretty, Sherry 😍 Will you please leave a link for the markers. I couldn't tell what brand they are. I bought some in the past that I thought I'd seen someone use, & thought they'd be pc compatible...they were not. It just never would dry on the clay & stayed kinda wet & a bit sticky. Also wondering...do you seal those at all when using them on clay? I've seen you use them on wood, which I assume absorbs & doesn't need sealing. I figured it would need a sealer on the clay. Thanks in advance for marker info & thanks for the video ❤
I would be happy to send the link to you. I use a few different ones on my clay so I'll link them all. New ones I just used in up coming video- amzn.to/3Oy6Nzj Silver my favorite- amzn.to/3QB6NRP Gold- amzn.to/3KCf3wP all of these work great on clay just give a few minutes to dry. Also, i do not always seal them it really depends on project. For example this project I did not seal and have never had an issue with chipping or rubbing off.
I love how this was just scrap clay & turned out so beautifully. You don’t resin the sides of your pieces, correct? I’ve tried to do that & it never works out well. But sometimes it seems unfinished without the sides matching the resin on the top. Maybe I’ll try painting the sides instead. I do like that look but I haven’t done it on my pieces.
I did not resin the sides of these ones but if you wish to do that, use a paint brush and brush on a thin layer of resin then prop up under uv light so it’s closer to light and all sides are hit by light at the same time.
I do use a brush for the sides but it still usually spills over. Maybe I just haven’t perfected it yet 😂 yes, just giving them a coat of a gloss sealer would help with giving the sides a matching shiny finish. Thank you commenting back!
@@carolquick3979 you’re welcome and yes it will spill over sometimes. When I do it I put the smallest amount on my brush. I would take some old clay bake it and just practice you’ll get it to your liking eventually 😊
I would love to try this however, I have a concern. I have had a box of alcohol inks for a while. I read that you shouldn't have them near a naked flame and my oven is a gas oven. Do you know what people normally do in these circumstances? I am fairly new at this so still have lots to learn. Thank you
I mainly use a toaster oven for all my small projects like this but I can tell you I have put many larger items in my regular gas oven with alcohol ink on the pieces and have never had an issue. I’m assuming they are referring to the alcohol ink by itself like the bottle of ink. I could never imagine once on clay it becoming an issue, the alcohol will evaporate off quite quickly, and will even evaporate out of the clay fairly quickly, so no worries about baking the clay.
@@sherbearsclay Thank you very much for taking the time to reply. I feel a lot more confident now to have a go. I have the colours you used and a textured mat so all geared up to get started.
They are so lovely. Great technique.

if I was making this, I'm lost, but it's great fun watching you pull a rabbit out of the hat. The start to the finish is night & day.
I know I’m surprised each time I finish a piece how nice it looks from the very beginning 😂
