    They got so close to changing my favorite battle theme, I'm so mad, I still like it.
    Only noticable to those that know either of the languages, I understand a bit of Spanish so uhhh

      It's a great theme...but he isn't speaking Portuguese

    • @robert_yebert

      I saw that you mentioned this on Twitter, so I wait to hear it myself and yes, he's speaking Spanish, but not only that, he is referring to a place in South America or to a person from here, but not from Brazil at all, and I wonder if it's intentional.
      You see, I say that it could be intentional, since he is saying that he is from Los Andes, and Los Andes goes pass through many countries (Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador and Venezuela) none of them Brazil, it is well known (At least for us) and in all the countries through which Los Andes pass we speak Spanish. So if it is an error on the part of R1999, and not intentional, it is not only in language but also in lyrics.
      The lyrics and the rhythm feel like they're from here tho, I mean it doesn't feel like an attempt to sound like our music, especially the prelude, (and I actually smiled, that guitar is beautiful) it feels like it was written by someone from here or at least someone who understands our rhythms very well. Here's a rough translation:
      Enlighten me...
      Send me the sign (or Give me the sign)
      I am from Los Andes
      From Los Andes, feel me, Mother earth, feel me...
      Get up!
      Get up! Understand! Mother earth, feel me, feel me, feel me!
      Get up!
      Get up! Understand! Mother earth, feel me, feel me, feel me!
      Get up!

      That's one of my copium takes, I'd like to believe that this is the music for the entire South America. Just like how Apeiron and Vienna got their own. and they reuse it in further chapters unlike event stories which are only used for that patch.
      There is another battle theme, a variation of this without lyrics. That is titled Illuminate Sweet Jungle.

    I really love this battle theme. That said, its weird not having it in portuguese, if it is because this is the general battle theme for South america that will be used in other chapters I can understand (even then its still weird), otherwise a bad decision on bluepochs part.

    Hello! I can hear the spanish here as:
    Alumbrame, mándame la señal. Soy, soy de los andes.
    Desde los andes, sienteme madre tierra.
    Levántate, levantame madre tierra(coro)
    Which could be translated as: " Illuminate me, send me the signal. I, I am from the andes. From the andes, feel me mother earth(x2)
    Stand up, lift me mother earth.
    The rhythm and instruments reminds me a bit of the music on Amazonas (an example could be "Ya se ha muerto mi abuelo" if you are curious). Perhaps reverse team ended up mixing all the territories that have part in the Amazon rainforest (bolivia, venezuela, ecuador, peru, colombia and brasil)
    Although I'm not up to date with the CN storyquest. It makes sense that you could hear these rhythms on many cities built around the amazon(although I can only speak about Spanish speaking countries here)

    • @Someoneisaround
      @Someoneisaround หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      A bit off topic perhaps? But it's also normal nowaydays to use in rituals a mixing of prayers to the andean montains and the rainforest. These rituals usually ask for strength. I think is a neat point that they added this as a battle theme

      When the fuck have Bluepoch ever represented the culture of a country (rhetorical question)? The representation they do is characters being from a country, but they don't do that in main story chapters clearly.

    • @Vinance790
      @Vinance790 หลายเดือนก่อน +25

      @@新世界-b1zHonestly yeah, people would say CN doesn't care about representation. But Reverse is based on historical event and take place in various different places and are most of the time great with it. So to think that this patch barely has any Brazil representation is very underwhelming.

    • @robert_yebert
      @robert_yebert หลายเดือนก่อน +23

      The lyrics say: "I am from Los Andes" and in a very proudful way too, Los Andes goes through a lot of countries Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Perú, etc (Brasil is not one of them), and in all of them we speak Spanish, so I'm pretty sure they understand the meaning of the lyrics, they knew the person who sings those lyrics needed to sing it in spanish.
      I'm not sure why they did this tho, I mean why is it not in portuguese or talks about a place in Brasil instead, it's is a beautiful and very mindful song inspired by our culture (South America as a whole), it feels very genuine, but again I'm not sure why they would make this creative decisions.

    • @naku4094
      @naku4094 หลายเดือนก่อน +12

      @@robert_yebert I do wonder if they didnt intend to have the chapter take place in brazil at first. Like, maybe they had it planned to take place somewhere in South america and only decided to put it in brazil near the end of development, that would explain the lack of cultural references.

      I'm playing in the Global version so I try not to get too deep into what's going on in CN, but I do want to point out (from what I heard about Lopera) that the reference to Los Andes is interesting because it doesn't pass through Brazil BUT it does pass through Colombia . Also, the Mother Earth mentioned in the song is most likely the "Pachamama", who's cult is deeply tied with the indigenous cultures from Los Andes.
