      ***** "if" but germany failed, and we won, whats the point of imagining other scenarios ? ;)
      i could same the same for napoleon "if they didnt had a coalition of other countries blablabla you'd be french blablabla"
      this kind of "argument" is worthless.

      Sean Huang For people whose relatives suffered at the hands of the German army, this is no joke. I don't need to be baited by outrageous remarks to remember the despair my French relatives felt watching Hitler in Paris.
      How about I bait you back and dream about the whole of Southeast Asia speaking Japanese?

    Please help? Who is the Brigadefuhrer looking at the camera @ 0.30 on the left of screen in the side cap? I know all the other guys but this guy is almost always there with AH. and has the same droopy turned down mouth as Hermann Fegelien and could be his older brother or father. Anybody know who he is?

      Julius Schaub. The Fuhrer's chief aide and adjutant, and that's the less obscure Martin Bormann behind him.

    • @orley104
      @orley104 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Velociraptor Imperator Thanks, yes Obergruppenfuhrer Julius Schaub SS No.7. That's him in the very last photo of AH inspecting damage in the chancellory garden. An enigmatic character who was not considered a war criminal and who never wrote a book post bellum. He was the guy AH sent out of the bunker to destroy all AH's private papers. A bit of a wild man when he'd had a few drinks but AH kept him by his side from the beginning to the end. He even went to jail with der Chief as they called him "the Boss" after the Beer Hall rising. Thanks again mate but I have had some help from people like you who kindly answered my query. Cheers.

    Poles have to pay taxes in Germany, were forced to work in Germany, Germany requisitioned Poland's goods, they participated in the German power. Italy has also attacked France, the population of Italy was 44 million, France was a democracy of 40 million against dictatorships with a total strength of 133 million inhabitants. The French colonies were far away, it takes the requisitioning of boats, a lot of logistics, money and especially time that France had not.

    @Partajehu Well when Paris was about to be liberated in August 1944, Hitler ordered Paris's military governor to destroy the city as soon as the city is about to fall. However the governor disobeyed Hitler's order and surrendered to leader of the local Communists who then handed over to a Free French general.
    If it weren't for that governor Paris would be almost destroyed. A few days later, the city was fully liberated.

    It''s impossible to imagine how he felt driving through Paris, the most powerful man on Earth at that moment, and only a blue-collar worker, not born into money like Roosevelt and Churchill. Incredible achievement. Incredible moment. No traffic, no nasty merchants, no nasty anything. A true dictator of the modern World. Nothing will ever be so concentrated in one person ever before or after. Forget the politics for a second. He lost it all too.

  • @Omar0Tarabay
    @Omar0Tarabay 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    You know, it's not because in the most recent war, France lost, that suddenly, France is a never ending surrendered... Not to it's own prestige of course, France is probably the country that had won (during it's quite longer history than the USA for instance), the most military victories. Of course that France was responsible for as much, if not more, death than Hitler. (I'm not saying we are over rating Hitler's barbarianism of course!)
    History did not began in 1945, or in 1782...

    We spoke of the population, and now you have nothing to say because I was right you try to change the subject. You were in France at this time to say that the French had no will to fight? Looks like some Polish are jealous that France has not been destroyed by the Germans as Poland was, then France was on the right side of the Iron Curtain. My grandfather has been captured and forced to work in the oil fields of Austria, during four years, he became friend with Polish who were smarter than you.
