Please change the title to the Muan Airport disaster in South Jeolla Province, not the Jeju Air flight accident. The airport was surrounded by migratory birds, construction was carried out on the mudflats, and operations were suspended for safety reasons such as short runways. Muan County Council + Jeonnam Council + Democratic Party = International flight approval on December 07, and only 21 days later, a massive disaster occurred. For 17 years, large-scale take-off and landing of international aircraft were too dangerous due to migratory birds and runway problems at Muan Airport in the early days of the Lee Myung Bak government, and even President Moon Jae In did not give permission, but only 21 days after the Yoon Suk Yeol government forcibly opened international flights on December 7, it caused such a massive disaster. Until now, farmers have been doing laughable things such as drying peppers on the airport runways, to no avail. Korea's left-wing media are hiding the essential problems of the airport and simply driving public opinion due to accidents caused by bird strikes. It is also something to consider that such a disaster occurred in Gwanghwamun, where many patriots are demanding the nullification of the impeachment. I pray that innocent people will no longer suffer. We need your prayers for the Republic of Korea, which is fiercely fighting to preserve liberal democracy today.
How puts a CONCRETE FENCE at the END of a RunWay Not so smart. A concrete fence IS A WALL! Did they dump the full before landing? This is a Horrific event Prayers to all involved.
It's terrible to hear that over 600 body parts have been found but some people still haven't been identified or found! Also, 5 children are among the dead, with the youngest being a 3-year old boy. Some families want them to put all the pieces together. What a terrible tragedy for many families!
The cause is said to be a bird strike, but is there no fundamental solution to this issue? Many people will continue to use airplanes in the future, but does this mean that crashes will ultimately be a matter of "luck"?
they always go with a bird strike cause they dont want to admit mechanical failure on their part, operational error on the pilots part, and no malice from anyone else. always go with the most useless excuse. there as no landing gear when it came down. im not sure how a bird strike prevents wheels on the ground. they assume we cant use our brain cells.

Indeed. The entire incident makes NO SENSE, they would have waved the plane back up as they check if landing gear is down, its routine, then fire trucks would spray foam while plane circles around and DUMPS FUEL then lands on a runway without a cement barrier in its path. Was there a virus on board, was the plane hijacked and forced to not put landing gear down, something was very strange and media saying perhaps birds caused landing gear not to come down, wow really
Early reports stated the plane landed in the opposite direction from normal landings. What has me asking questions is that this was a flight from Thailand to South Korea. Considering the state of affairs in that part of the world. Sabotage, perhaps?
Whole crash strange, Traffic controller would have waved pilot back into air as they check each plane to confirm that landing gear is down, then they would have plane fly back around, fire trucks spray foam on runway and also ask plane to dump fuel prior to landing plus you do not have plane run into a cement barrier. Was the plane hijacked and force not to put gear down, this whole incident should had been presented better by the media, I mean claiming birds may have played a part in landing gear not coming down, wow.

I feel kind of sad for that concrete fence now they have to build a better one and a new one that's a lot of money man next time they should put up a metal fence
This keeps happening with Boeing. Empire Precision Machine (Ft. Worth Tx.) knowingly and deliberately sends aircraft parts to Boeing that are machined out of tolerance, so they do not have to remake the parts. I have seen it many times.
I always try to get an Exit Row seat because it has more legroom. Federal regulations are that I have to give a Verbal Confirmation that I will assist in the event of an emergency. Did the two surviving CREW MEMBERS assist ANYONE but themselves????
Assist them when the whole plane is on fire and they were most likely injured? I'm sorry, but you asked the most dumbest question I've ever heard in a while.
@ @goo-You made the most dumb comment EVER. Assist BEFORE the crash and the two becoming UNCONSCIOUS! Read for comprehension! Highlighting your comment is the equivalent of being Loud and WRONG!
@ @goo- Could the conversation have been: “Let’s get to the rear of the plane and brace for impact”Should we take anyone else? “It’s not enough room. Every man, woman and child are for themselves!”
BOING again! The birds prevented the landing gear from opening, is this a joke???? It's a BOING and that's normal. If the landing gear had been down, the plane could have at least braked and slowed down. BOING has become a real garbage disaster. But they're going to blame the birds.
The scene inside the airport must've been horrific. All of those families waiting for their loved ones to land. Literally a nightmare
