    That's great, thank you very much. This video comes just in time and helps me a lot. I wasn't sure how to get enough free memory. It is important to note the link to the sound presets used. If I also want to install a bundle, where is the best place to get free memory? Other sections? These kind of Video are very helpful.

      Thanks! Unfortunately when it comes to memory, the sections aren’t shared (for example making space in the sample library doesn’t give you the ability to use it for the piano section. So 2GB is it for the piano section. You could remove sounds from different categories within the piano section though (e.g remove an upright or EP to make space). Might not be what you wanted to hear, but hopefully that helps a little!

      Thank you very much for the quick reply. I already suspected it was difficult. Thanks again. Greetings from Germany

    Pro tip: Instead of deleting unused libraries, you can replace them with the minimal version downloaded from the Nord website. This way, you don't need to delete anything, and all programs will work as intended.

    How are you recording the nord in this video. Isn't it through a streaming app or camera ?

    Is the dynamic compression also on the NS3, but named KB Touch, or is that a different setting?

    • @DSoundman
      @DSoundman  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The dynamic compression is new to the NS4 and different than KB Touch on the NS3.

      @@DSoundman Ok so then what is KB Touch then?

    • @MacXpert74
      @MacXpert74 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@A106KB Touch has to do with the velocity sensitivity curve of the keyboard. Turning it up means the notes will sound louder quicker with an increase in strength of playing. Said differently; you don't need to hit the keys with so much force to make it sound louder, but playing softer will require more subtle keyboard presses. This effectively does create sort of a compression effect, but it's in the feel of the playing rather then in the volume of the sound. With the dynamic compression, the sound itself will be smoothed out (made more equal) in volume if you play soft or loud, this is separate from the keyboard touch sensitivity. This allows for the mellow piano tone of soft playing without the volume being really low.

      @@MacXpert74Ahh makes more sense now. Thanks for the input. From reading your comment, dynamics comes through the player and not the board itself.

    • @MacXpert74
      @MacXpert74 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@A106Yes, with Keyboard Touch, the player controls the dynamics by playing harder or softer still, but the amount of force needed to play loud becomes less as you increase the setting.

    I don't understand the 2-4gb limit these manufactures are placing on these expensive boards. 1tb of super fast nvme is like $50.

    Great demo, most of us can’t afford the 5700 dollars you need for a overpriced Nord. If they double the size it will be triple the price.
