- This is a instruction video to power up 21344 lego orient express combined with motorization from rebrickable by StijnD. To reduce resistance and increase smoothness, several extra lego parts added listed below. By using large motor (PowerUp), 21344 orient express could be motorized. Locomotive and two carriages could also be lighted. After that, train could drive into R40 curve track and drive into switch without derailment.
花時間參考國外資料實際改裝後發現，21344車廂重單一個火車動機運作吃力，零件高阻力，除了R40原彎軌運作不易外，在交換軌道也容易出軌，考量目前缺乏整合資訊，做成東方快車改裝動力與安裝燈具影片，解決了StijnD 的改裝方式的齒輪滑牙問題，數個高阻力環節對應方案，火車頭與車廂加氣氛燈的方式，一併提供給台灣樂高火車迷參考，若實際運行有其它問題，可在ＹＴ也可在ＦＢ樂於討論歡迎私訊。

Never considered changing the front pair. I did notice the carriages were not turning smoothly, why they didnt just use the tried and tested bogey plates I will never understand. Instead of changes I decided to just fit two motors connected via a differential gearbox to just power my way through the issues, see how it goes in a few days. Have fun building!
the front pair have high resistance. Once you change them, the orient express can pass switch track and R40 Curve track. I guess LEGO want not let customs to move this train. So we neet to modified them. Talking with you is fun^^

Hi, It might be okey to put IR receive to battery car of orient express. However, what I concern is that power function might not drive such heavy orient express. So I use powerUp to drive. Hope this help you.
where did you get the plastic white ring?
I bought it at the stationary store. This use as Split Ring Markers woolen. Something like this below. You also can use other things with 5mm diameter pore.
