I use 1 tsp salt per cup of rice for any recipe. And 1 teaspoon per cup of daal or a teaspoon per pound for any meat that’s added. I never have a problem with taste.
I would like you and all Desi cooking shows to give at least some idea about how many servings are made with any given recipe. An approximation would be fine.
