    Daniel, thank you for demonstrating the superiority of your work and spectacular finished results. I really appreciate seeing a fine time piece brought back to a stately appearance, you did it so well.
    I do concur with other posts that suggest a different camera angle, not seeing anything but your hands does take away a bit of the enjoyment, of seeing what each step looks like.
    Otherwise, it's a joy to see the results of your craftsmanship. Thank you for your video.

    Nice job! A lot of work goes into cleaning and restoring a Rolex to pristine condition. Fascinating to see the process , the breakdown of the watch, individual parts that make up the whole, the skill needed to repair, oil, buff and polish and then reassemble the watch back together. And then it's like brand new again. So interesting! Thanks for the education.

    Im so impressed, pure magic! My wife is hysterical on not getting scrartches on her Rolex, oposite to me who use it as a tool watch. So I showed her this video, and now she could see with her own eyes that her watch can be restored back to look like brand new! Only thing I wonder is, I have dings on the edge up/side of the case, and wonder if its possible or really difficult to restore my Explorer 2.. Does welding need to be done? Is it possible to fix more or less anythnig? Greetings from NORWAY! Love your magical work!

    • @aole89
      @aole89 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      that s only true for vintage rolex pieces that are rare. This piece is readily available new from rolex. its like with old racing cars. with their patina on and trces of the race track, they are worth way more. try to sell a used car thats 5 years old. With dents and scratches it will be worth less. so actually this rolex increased in value and is worth more than it was before

    • @Chucktinez
      @Chucktinez 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      aole89 oh ok. I saw a video that rolex hold their value. And that within 5-7 years it’s worth more than it cost especially one that has t been serviced since the remove the Orignal crystal and replace it with an replacement one marked on the bottom with an S in the crown for “serviced” and they don’t return the original parts to you. They said Although it’s good to have it serviced and it’s done buy rolex with rolex parts it devalues it in the long run. That’s y I asked because there so many videos saying on thing and then another video saying the opposite. It’s confusing. Thank you for replying

    • @aole89
      @aole89 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Chucktinez no problem. the rolex models under high demand cost more used than new, because you are sinply not able to buy them from a dealer. the waiting lists are long. a new submariner will cost you about 8k while the same model used goes for 12k. no possibility to get it at resale unless you are your dealers favorite customer. the service interval on modern rolexes is about 8 years. so with your example of a 6 to 7 year old rolex it would be worth more serviced because the buyer doesnt have to do it after 8 years. and yes, when servicing they will keep the original parts. but with modern rolexes that doesnt matter, because they will replace it with exactly the same part only a couple of years younger. while in vintage rolexes they will actually replace the vintage part with old lume and writing etc, with a modern part that underlies modern production. so completely different watch then. also they dont mark the crystal.

    Great restoration… I see it’s been a year since this was posted. I think your channel might be better served if you had another pair of eyes on the individual shot composition.
    Forgive me if this has already been addressed but what the viewer see more than anything else is your hands rather than the watch. Hopefully, again, this has been resolved but it’s actually a simple fix. Just reposition the camera to showcase the watch being worked and not your hands. Hope that is helpful.
