Sea water desalination makes me think water shortages are unlikely to happen, however price for drinkable water will surely go up.

Yes but in order to maintain those facilities it costs a lot of $ and it also has negative environmental impacts. There are some concerning reports of desalination plants hurting low income communities. A good report I found (www.foodandwaterwatch.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/FSW_2305_Desalination.pdf)

Stumbled across this video through the mysterious hand of the YT algorithm. Good content overall. Wish you spent a little more time on the objective facts of the issue and the contemporary politics like the potential war over the damning of the Nile river. Or water deprivation as a geopolitical tool like in Crimea. Not meant in anyway as a damning criticism, I see your channel wants to center the indigenous and marginalized aspects of issues. But I think that can be possible without more subjective aspects like water "as a living entity" or that industrial capitalism is why we consume so much water. Degrowth is a non-viable solution politically (and morally in my opinion), and while I personally love to learn about specific bad actors in the capitalist system and ways to better regulate them, I don't think blaming capitalism as a whole is the correct or prudent stance for those that genuinely want to improve the ecosystem.

Hi Rob, while these videos are more geared towards introductory level type of education (my audience is primarily high schoolers and early college students) there are sometimes certain depths and levels i want to cover deeper beyond US issues and how to connect them geopotlically. In my other web series (Teaching Climate Together), we go more in depth to talk about ecosystem issues and provide different types of solutions and reframes to audiences. I do appreciate this reframe of your thought of how to reach a broader audience of those who may not be as politically aligned with my values to approach videos in the future. However, I do think it is fine that many people don't always agree with my spiritual concepts of how I see the earth, but i too, am respectful of those who use faith in their work or don't use faith in their work to prove their point. Hope you enjoy the other largely produced videos that go more into these issues and a lot of the talent i do interview we don't always have the same political values
