What everyone witnessed, and you can tell by the looks of the fellow musicians in the audience, the looks shared among those on the stage, is that pure, electrified magic where everything clicks and runs flat out wide open. Performance of a lifetime.

I was watching this live in 2015 & they DID NOT close out the night with this. They did, however, BRING THE FUCKING HOUSE DOWN with this!!!

I agree with you the best collaboration performance ever! I've watched it many many times and still get goosebumps especially in the reaction videos of those who never saw it and get blown away also!
One of but not the greatest of all awards shows. Maybe the greatest of a country music awards show, but I have seen and heard better with greater audience participation, unlike this audience who didn't know the song except the band Lady A.
Kimberly Paisley, Jewel, Miss America and other artists seemed lost.
Maybe they were just enjoying these two great singers preform.

This is Justin’s band and they are great. Love how the audience is really into it. This is considered one of the greatest live performances.
These guys and their wives are very good friends. Did you see JT’s wife in the audience? Supposedly, Chris and Morgane counseled Justin and Jessica through their cheating scandal a couple years ago. This performance really propelled Chris’ career into space!

One of my fave parts of the video is when they pan to the audience, cuz all of those people are other country singers. Keith Urban was loving that shizz!
Actually Florida Georgia Line had to be pulled back from the exit door and pushed onto the stage too follow this. Poor bastards
And that band!! The organ, the horns. OMG - there was nobody on the slate to perform that night that could match that; and made everyone else look like they were in a high school talent show. Lightning struck on that stage that night for sure. Everyone on that stage just grooved the heck out. Absolutely epic performance.

I remember hearing the local country DJs talking about this the next day, how they brought the roof down. Ridiculous. This band is so crazy tight, total pros, it all came together. They killed it, and yes, we took notice.

This was the greatest performance of that night and it was an instant classic! One of the greatest live performances of all time. JT is the GOAT and Chris Stapleton's voice cannot be duplicated.

Justin started his career in country. He appeared on a show called Star Search at the age of 12, with the boots, hat and giant belt buckle, using the name Justin Randall. You should check it out!
They made him sing country for Star Search. He wanted to sing When a Man Loves a Woman. Same song he sang for his MMC audition.
Justin timerlake is born in Memphis, Tennessee he got that that blues in him and i think people forget that. The boy can play the guitar 🎸..

One thing that makes my heart melt is how Chris and his Wife Morgane backs each other up, btw these 2 songs can be in a movie, the 2nd would fit in a movie exactly how it is performed in this performance, I can actually see it.
This is why it’s called Music City. Represent! 🤟🏻As a Nashville native who grew up exposed to the industry, I’ll say, there are TONS of crazy talented musicians who aren’t famous. Chris was a writer for years before he broke out. A lot of famous artists already knew him worked with him over the years.
I hate country and my friends keep telling me Nashville is more than just country. Is this true? I’ve avoided going there because I envision me surrounded my country music.
@@nickybomberry1190 there are deff the touristy areas, but a lot of the musicians here are not country. An inside joke is that if you see a guy downtown with cowboy boots and a hat, he’s probably a tourist.

I really enjoyed your reaction. I love Chris Stapleton. I was introduced to him when I used Tennessee Whiskey, studio version, as a cool down and stretch (group exercise instructor) song. Didn't really give it much thought untill I switched up songs and almost had a riot in class. Then I began looking for his music and fell in love 😘😅

Chris was wanting to back out of performing because he was so shy in the beginning. Justin tried to talk him into it. Chris agreed IF Justin ( who is a close friend) would perform with him. Chris's wife also keeps him from being so nervous on stage as he can look over at at her and it keeps him grounded so to speak. She also has a great voice.❤ The rest is history as far as this epic performance. Just think what we could have missed.
