I'm 5 years later watching this and I'm all about easy! You might have just changed my EPP life! One question though, how do you get spray starch into your starch brush pen?
Wow, I just saw your question! So sorry I didn’t see it sooner! The bottle has a point on it and it fits into the handle of the brush. It is mentioned in the video if you watch again. I show how on my website videos at TraditionalPrimitives.com
Hi Missy, I was looking through various sewing groups on Facebook and saw one of your posts in an English Paper Piecing group. I'm not a member, so I can't comment there, but had to come see the video you shared under that post. I love sewing, but making and embellishing clothing is my favorite part of sewing. My Mom, though, she's a quilter; she started quilting while I was on bedrest during my pregnancy with my now 23yo son. This technique is awesome! I'm going to be visiting your store, and I'm even interested in maybe doing a bit of quilting now. That King's Garden (IIRC) portion is beautiful! Subscribed to this channel based on this first time seeing your work. Thank you for sharing!
Hi Missie! I am doing the Garden of a King. I am excited but I can"t wrap my brain around the gluing . I am used to having a 1/4" glue allowance between the paper and the fabric. In the pattern the paper is the exact size as what you cut the fabric! what am I missing??
Is the starch basting thick enough that I can pull the papers before sewing? I am considering starching the fabric before cutting as well, to make it double starch.
Yes, we sell them on our website at www.traditionalprimitives.com. I'm so sorry I did not reply to this question! I just now saw it! Thanks for your patience.
So revolutionary! I had given up on EPP but now I want to give it a try again.
This is,a great way thanks so much for a wonderful clear tutorial..
What a great technique!! Thank you🙂
You’re welcome!

Lili Z thanks so much for the kind words! It’s a wonderful technique for those who struggle with Basting EPP!
Sure beats the needle and thread basting I used for a G-mother's flower garden. I just wish I'd seen this video before I'd ordered a glue pen.

I’m almost shy to ask, but I need to know.... What happens to that paper once you have finished glueing and pressing?
No need to be shy! You take it out...but no glue...starch!
