    Tyler Fredrickson hit a 38 yard FG in the 3rd OT to give Cal an upset victory over No. 3 USC. This would be the Trojans' only loss of the 2003 season. Adimchinobe Echemandu led the Bears with 147 yards rushing and Reggie Robertson combined with Aaron Rodgers to throw for 326 yards and 3 TDs.

    This is the last game USC would lose until the 2006 Rose Bowl against Texas. 34 game winning streak began the next week.

      Michael More like, man what some cheating, rule breaking & unethical players along with coaches. Grade manipulations and so on. Imagine if those things didn’t happen, then who’s to say they’d have those players to make them good, or if they weren’t given grades they didn’t warn. So IMO they were not great. They were losers.

    Man, it would have been nice if USC would built on Lofa Tatupu's 26-yard INT return for a score in the third quarter. Then there wouldn't have been no damn discussion at the end of the year about a shared national title between USC and LSU. To this day, that shared title shit still pisses me off. At the time (2003) it was cool to see a West coast team win a national title, but I wish USC didn't have to share that national title with NOBODY.

    After USC's missed field goal, in 3rd OT, here were the 2 commentators' responses:
    Commentator 1: [in a monotone sad voice] "missed it"
    Commentator 2: [in an excited voice] "NO GOOD!"
    Commentator 1: (something about Cal missing field goals in the past so it's no guarantee Cal will win this game)
    I think it's clear who was not rooting for Cal.

    • @Diegocurt73
      @Diegocurt73 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Really dumb comparison. Unless they played under the same conditions, coach’s, schemes, divisions, schedules, etc. this is a real stupid comparison. Leinhart played well enough to win a Heismann and an NC. ROGERS would’ve done the same but he played for Cal. They always suck.

      @@Diegocurt73 Bold to respond to an 11-year old comment!
      But obviously I'm not strictly comparing Leinart and Rodgers' situations and contexts. Was just pointing out how their careers played out, and who got the ultimate last laugh in the grand scheme discussion, after such a heartbreaker of a game 21 years ago
