सर के विचार बेहद सराहनीय किस्म के हैं जिसकी तारीफ होनी चाहिए।
लेकिन ये विचार सिर्फ कहने में अच्छे लगते हैं वास्तव में इस सोच को सेवा काल के दौरान लागू करने चाहिए थे उनको ।
दुर्भाग्य से मेरे बहुत दोस्त जो मिलिट्री या पैरामिलिट्री फोर्स में है उनका अनुभव तो अधिकारियों को लेकर उतना अच्छा नहीं है। आए दिन जवानों के शोषण आत्महत्या जैसे न जाने कितने मामले सुनने में आते रहते हैं जिनकी कोई सुनवाई नहीं होती है।
Very right. Also gone are the days when the young british CO addressed the SM as papa or on another occasion of the CO being a battle casuality the company cdrs decided that they lead their sub units into an assault while the paltan colors were led by the SM at the head of the column as a replacement to the CO.
But as far as delinking himself from higher authority or the chain of command to undertake initiatives - which he feels are his moral duty; it may not be that simple.
All responsibities and accountability work in a dynamic matrix where responsibility to duties and objectives on one hand are interwoven to accountability to higher authority, procedues, chain of command, good order and discipline. And not to forget: our military has the system of the responsibity to keep higher ups informed timely of the issues within rank and file. Then is also the need for maintaining good order and discipline or that of keeping rebellious tendencies at bay.
It is also the personal characterstics which matter. I have seen a SM who tended to be always present outside the CO's washroom tent while on the other hand we had a SM who would not hesitate to express his opinion to the CO in attempts to protect a young officer from prosecution

There is requirement to improve on promotion also for a regular jawan. A to all promotion from sepoy to sub maj rank is being conferred to a jawan by qualifying an agni pariksha like cadre course, medical, field service, meritorious service alongside acr grading ete etc, then why vacancy for honorary rank given by govt only a few army personnel why not to all who are being completed full service. Implement should required to be given honorary lieutenant, captain even major, lieutenant colonel rank also.....
