Well since I'm first... I'll tell you about my Kona Stab downhill bike...first bike I purchased from the PB buy and sell. It was absolutely worth the $350 and I rode it for the first season at Trestle Bike Park in Colorado. The rear wheel may or may not have come out on a lap once and the fork axle was so rounded I had to basically loctite it in but hey, it did the job! Heading back there this summer and hope I can check out the zone I first got hooked on mountain bikes!
It’s been the biggest week in recent history for the bike industry. The Dreadnought, Fox, Attitude, SB165 just to name a few… Where’s my Dreadnought V2 summary with Matt?
Also best to have the right tool for the job…..sure you can probably cut a seatpost with an axe but a hacksaw is what most people would use. Same goes for riding a DH bike for Enduro/All Mtn
I love my DH bike! My first trip to Morzine all I had was a 120mm 2015 Trek Fuel 29er It did ok and was even fine (ish) on Pleney’s Black Main Line Then I hired a DH Bike for the day… Oh My Gawd it was life changing! 18 months later I snagged a weeks private work as a medic for a Rod Stewart concert and with the cash I earned I managed to buy all the parts to build a Nukeproof Pulse from a second hand frame and fork, bought loads of parts cheaply from Germany before BREXIT fucked that up for us and paid for a week in Morzine. “Maggie May” (My DH Bike) has since been ridden in Morzine (all of PdS), Revs, Dyfi, Antur Stiniog, Bike Park Wales, Forest of Dean, Fort William, LaFenasosa and been raced by my son for a full season of the Pearce DH Series It’s great! Only cost me £1500 to build, owes me nothing and has given me so many great times! DH Rigs rule!
I have no need for a downhill bike. I bought a new YT Tues 5 years ago to see what the hype was about, and love it. I don't need it but it is soo much fun.
Here in Missouri, there is little need for a downhill bike because we have virtually no mountains or lifts. If you want to go down, you must first go up. Truth be told, enduro bikes are overkill here too.
All giant bikes are trash imo. I own and jave owned quit a few. If they don't send you OTB they smash your kneees.the brass and STP i have noone will buy because they're that bad and people know it. 😅 Good condition but garbage frames
I've had 3 giant, latest is a 2023 trance x29 the frame is solid but all in house components like wheels and dropper were shit, dealers are also shit where I live but no complaints about the frames...

My first time on a DH bike was in Whistler of all places. And I would 100% recommend a DH bike for your first time at Whistler.
First time on a DH bike: a V10 at Angel Fire… I won’t forget that day! 🎉
For Devil's avocado, please do clips v flats. Your take on which the unpopular pedal is.

Oh, nooo! It's that duo again! Mister I like to talk a lot of bs. and Misses my voice sounds so horrible. Animals get scared and try to run away,...

Only ridden one DH bike , a Kona Stinky Garbanzo at Leogang back in 2007 ! 😂
First time on a DH was at Whistler. Still felt broken at the end of the day. Anyone riding HT on Whistler at end of season is mad 🤣
When did discount Mila kunis join pink bike?
Dario: “…..small bird….” 😂
Been an exciting week
I love riding my DH bike in a bike park!
My Nomad is my "XC" bike and my V10 is for the Alpine, my Nomad will last me forever lol
There could be some sound work to remove the echo of the room.
DH bikes are on another level. My enduro is closer to an XC bike than a proper DH.
So when is the next Pinkbike Academy?
This is the first time I have ever heard of shuttling being frowned upon? Who in the Pinkbike hell is making up this rhetoric???

Yeah can’t say I’d ever buy a Giant

Press fit bb’s too 🤢
As soon as I hear “it’s ya boy” in 2024 I immediately thumb down and click away…
And I wondered why they call you snowflakes :D
