I love how subtle and sneaky Guy played Diego. Orchestrating for Garcia to buy Tornado, putting on a 'foppish' act for the Commandante, that little look he gives Bernado after the auction to say 'well, that went just as as planned' - he played a great Zorro of course, but these little moments of incidental acting really built the complete Diego character both in and out of the mask, masterfully done!
I love it how Diego tries to get away from Bernardo to save his horse. It shows that he truly loves Tornado. But fortuanetly he realizes in time, that it won't help him or the horse when he blows his cover.. Love Diego, love Tornado, love Bernardo, love this show!
Poor Tornado, being whipped like that. Roberto should really be thanking Zorro and the other Lancers for saving his ass from Tornado's wrath. Pissed off horses, a truly terrifying thing.
Yep. I think it's been obvious through most of the series that deep down, Garcia is a good man for all his faults. He just has the misfortune of being a loyal soldier under a succession of bad commanders.
Tornado didn't want to hurt anybody but I really liked that guy's scream as he got the shit stomped out of him. Horses are strong. I saw a dog nip at an old mare's heels once too often and he got a little too close...and she drop-kicked him 30 feet. He went over and over. He never got behind any horse ever again.
You don't tug on Superman's cape You don't spit into the wind You don't pull the mask off the ol' Lone Ranger And you probably shouldn't whip Zorro's horse.
@Samjapa Yes he is and very intelligent. You'd think that stupid lancer would have seen how Tornado was reacting when he saw him hitting Bernardo. It would be a clue that the horse knows and likes Bernardo.
Oh, okay. Well, there's a story about a situation like that in a book called "Tales of Zorro" - the story's called "Tornado Warning." Tornado is captured, and it takes two days before Zorro can mount a rescue. Meantime, the local Indian kids are sawing away at the walls of the corral, sneaking him handfuls of food and skins of water, stuff like that. Maybe, like in the book, they had to set the rescue up just right. Or . . . maybe I just don't know of what I speak - I don't know horses.
I couldn't help but think that for Tornado's fight scene, we was all like, "COME AT ME, BRO!" XD Then again, that's just what it seemed to me in my mind. Nonetheless, Tornado is an awesome horse! ♥
@AHorselover1 Maybe Tornado was just afraid to try it alone. I read (in "Black Beauty") that two things horses WILL NOT face without being led by someone they trust completely: Fire and flood. Tornado was surrounded by fire, and here one of only two or three people in all the world he trusts comes to save him - honestly, I'd have been more surprised if he HAD made a break for it before being rescued Diego/Zorro, Bernardo, or the shepherd Diego boarded him with while he was in Spain.
@sherlockzorro101 I believe the horse is supposed to be an Andalusian horse (Spanish breed) but in many of the films they use Friesian horses, because they are beautiful, and very big.. And black obviously lol.. I am not a horse expert, but I do not think that this Tornado is an Andalusian or a Friesian horse though.. In some shots he looks like an ordinary horse, and in some he does look like an Arabian.. Maybe they use different horses in each episode?
Why did Tornado not jump the fence before Zorro was riding him? If he could jump with Zorro on him, how could he not jump with Zorro not on him? I guess I'll just have to tell myself that the fire collapsed the top rail. Great movies.
@Reincarnationoflink: Sorry to hear that. Anyway, what you say sound strange to me, because in the country I was born only rich people can afford to have a stable with horses - usually at least people who came from the upper middle class.
This is one Zorro episode that I have a hard time watching. Seeing Tornado suffer is difficult to watch. Honestly. I know that it's staged, but still, those sounds and the way he runs around the pen, and rears... SMH, just is difficult for me. Had to take a seizure pill to make sure I didn't have a "sympathy" seizure. =)
I love horses; and the scene where the idiot lancer was whipping Tornado I could not watch. The horse is so beautiful as they all are. While I watch the series on youtube I do not like the implied animal abuse to a beautiful creature such as Tornado. jmo

Looking at Zorro old movies is fun.

Tornado is a magnificent horse!
thanks!
I love Diego's reaction to the lancer whipping Tornado :3 And man, if that was my horse, I would be hurting that lancer.

"No, it is better to catch the wind". In reality I think Sgt Garcia respects Zorro and really doesn't wish to capture him.
Yep. I think it's been obvious through most of the series that deep down, Garcia is a good man for all his faults. He just has the misfortune of being a loyal soldier under a succession of bad commanders.
Diego was willing to risk his secret identity to save his horse. If it weren't for Bernardo that would have happened.
True, thank god bernardo was there
*Zorro:* DON'T TOUCH MY HORSE
These videos you have uploaded represent a lot for me. Thank you.
Cícero Alves and to me too, this series are my childhood. beautiful memories

I love that look Diego gives Bernardo at 3:11
Might as well try to catch the wind, thank goodness, nice finish.
Hahaha i love that sergeant 😂💕
If it wasn't for Benardo, Diego would have blowen his cover in this one
I don't know why, but this commandante makes me think of Napoleon.
It's the hair

Even I would risk exposure if that was my horse

Two hundred and two Pesos
Two hundred and three Pesos
"I SHALL SELL THE HORSE TO THIS LANCER FOR THREE HUNDRED AND... ...." lol.

Yeah, stupid ass thinking he could stand a chance against Tornado. XD And yes, I very much admire the power of horses. :)
Why did Tornado not jump the fence before Zorro was riding him? If he could jump with Zorro on him, how could he not jump with Zorro not on him? I guess I'll just have to tell myself that the fire collapsed the top rail.
Great movies.
I wish my horse could be half as cool as Tornado =(
Go Tornado!
You probably shouldn't try to sell Zorro's horse, either.
Roberto is really stupid, angering Tornado even more than he was for Roberto attacking Bernardo.
@mynameistomilk
My version of the classic Jim Croce song is bad enough. We're not going to improve it by adding even more words. :)
@Reincarnationoflink: You have your own horse? Wow, you must be pretty rich. :)
Em qualquer pais que falte justiça o homem da capa preta fará justiça,ele estar em oculto mas se manifesta da.
@Reincarnationoflink: Sorry to hear that. Anyway, what you say sound strange to me, because in the country I was born only rich people can afford to have a stable with horses - usually at least people who came from the upper middle class.
@plemochoe If it were me, I'd rather risk the fire than Tornado's hooves! Thank goodness Zorro and a bucket brigade were there, huh?
@AutobotNutcase I had meant before the fire started. When he was at the auction and even when he was being whipped.
7:23 zorro zorro zorro zorrooooo
@asmodeus585 On the contrary, I'm broke because of my horse XD
There are actually very few rich horse people compared to poor people with horses.

Ha ha, spelling was never my strong point. Esp. late at night. :)
Mais comment on peut frapper un cheval comme ça je suis triste pour le cheval de Zorro heureusement ce n'est que du cinéma
@hjtihrf9: Would have blown, my friend, would have blown... ;)

Hate this episode. So much animal abuse...!
It was all "off camera". No mention of the fact Bernardo was getting whipped.
@@kwebster62 I was talking about real abuse, how they threat the animals just to make a play.
Isn´t Diego afraid that Tornado will come to him because he's his boss?
The commandante's soo ugly(A)
At Bernardo's nose:O
