Important note is on some small engines the kill switch actually grounds out the mag. So if you have an engine that won't turn off the kill switch likely has a bad ground. This is common when the kill switch only has 1 wire.
oh boy. I think I just found out why my shutoff switch stopped working on my Honda generator. It stopped working and I have to run it out of fuel to shut it off. I'll check my grounds!
I appreciate the simplicity. Doing it on the cheap I'll get a dollar on off toggle and some scrap wire to cut the ground off on my weed whacker bike. Thanks
Thanks for your sharing the video. I just want to re wire the kill switch with a mechanic timer and your video helping me to understand how the thing works.
I got here because the button on my generator isnt working. And the negative vable of the ignition(magneto) isnt conect. Yet it stills fire up and work. Then after its turn on i cant shut it off unless i close the gas line to the carb
@@Indev31 i finally found a solution. I had a losed cable form the ignition right? And i had another coming from the button to ground (on the motor) i jut took that cable out and pair it with the ingnition cable. And all done. Works like a charm

Hello is it possible to install a timer so that whenever the time is up,the motor automatically shut off
Thank you Ben for this video
Does your particular engine not use an ignition coil?
Can u make a pov video of you riding your motorized bike. That would be very cool to see everything running.
There is a s a video in part 3 of me riding it but you are saying with the camera on the engine?
How fast can u go on your 120cc 4 stroke?
About 45 mph
